“Yes, please get this done so that President Obama can lay claim to two enormous successes Health Care Reform and Immigration Reform. Of course, once passed they will just want to repeal it. But WHO CARES!”
“But his accuracy was not that accurate 7months out and in so many races. Also keep in mind that the major party of his analysis is to use the analysis of pollsters. Silver is not a pollster, he's an analyzer of polls.”
“I think you are absolutely right. Sometimes I think the worse thing that ever happened to Obama was that he technically had both the House and Senate for a short period of time (even though he really didn't with that traitor Lieberman around). but a Senate and House that has to accept what Obama tells them is actually going to be much more malleable than the current situation. And if they won't, well Obama is not up for reelection in 2016, but they will be and look out for Hillary!”
“Unless the Republican's learn to compromise and appreciate the fact that it's Obama with the veto power, Republican's will fail big time as the Majority party in the Senate setting the stage for an incredible 2016.”
“It is naive for us Democrats to deny the real possibility that Republican control over the Senate will not switch to the Party of No, which actually might not be a bad thing. Finally, President Obama will be able to use his veto power which will become something to watch. And from experience we can be quite confidant that if the Republican's wrestle this 1 vote advantage, that they will again show how badly they govern, and their true nature will come out. They are ten times worse than when they were in the majority with Bush, just imagine how they will be now? A Republican majority will also kick up Hillary'schances for success in 2016 by at least ten points, because by then, no one in America will want these nut cakes to have all three branches of government. And the tidal wave that is likely to rise to monstrous levels will be crushing down on the party of the 1% in 2016, when the numbers look very promising not only for Hillary, but to take back the House as well as to take back the Senate.
The United States can survive two years of do nothing Republicans without any veto busting capacity. While it's important to do as well as the Democrats can. this will not be the end, it will only be the next step to Victory over the Party of No. And if they don't take the Senate back, they will all commit suicide. Yeah!”

“haha yes, it's a win-win -- love the way you think!”
“I suspect you are in an alternative universe, because it is most likely that your prior coverage wasn't near as great as you thought; that the increases in your co pays would have been incredibly higher if the ACA had not gone into affect, and the friends who were cancelled, most likely simply had insurance with a company that no longer was going to be allowed to sell a crappy product and now they will have to get a real policy.
Go figure how anyone could think making more people insured is a bad idea?”
“In hundreds of ways. Sick people go to doctors who then get paid. They no longer have the excuse of being ill. They are more inclined to work. The State has to be pay less out of it's budgets to take care of the poor. Money in the economy is always the way to improve the economy.
To suggest that making a state's poor healthier and having more access to health care doesn't help the economy is like saying that building a highway or a bridge or establishing a military base in a state doesn't help the economy.”
“Absurd. Clearly you have no idea how an economy actually works. Sick people who get care and get better actually add to the GNP, make the rich richer, makes for more jobs, and makes for more taxes and in the end actually increase revenue for the Government and in the end is conducive to a real capitalist model--- as opposed to the Voodoo Economics of the Republican Party which believes in feudalism. Kill all of the unions, take away any ability of anyone but the richest to participate in wealth and control everything in a person's life destroying any hope of a future because well, the rich will always trickle down their wealth because they just like people. Yeah Right.
The Affordable Care Act is an incredible start to finally make American's free from sickness and threat of complete economic disaster if someone actually becomes seriously sick or injure ( a certainty for every human being).
And before you single out those who are benefiting from the ACA, look at your own situation. Taking any interest deductions for your home? Getting any interest free loans from the government because you are a farmer, oilman, etc. Have any stocks in oil companies getting subsidies from the government. Everytime I hear someone complain about the poor getting something from government, I know the person is just someone who is really in the end just concerned about losing their own form of government welfare.”
“First of all the 110 a month wasn't for real insurance. It was like have an automobile lliability policy which provided you $500 of coverage rather than $15,000. Secondly if in fact there is this type of increase---- and there isn't any evidence that this is occurring- then at least the person is going to be healthy. Unless someone is immune from all forms of injury and disease (there is only one Superman), then ultimately the insurance is going to be used. Wake up and accept the fact that the Affordable Care Act is a good thing and will be around for the next century or at least until we finally get single payer in place. GO HILLARY !!!!!!”
“Wrong wrong wrong. Well people work, buy things, and keep their families together, go to school, have hope and participate in the economy. The deficit gets smaller and smaller every time we keep someone at work and not at home sick or diseased. The suggestion that more access to health care doesn't help everyone is just wrong. Do you really think our competition, (China) doesn't do what it can to keep it's people healthy. The expense to business and society in general due to the ridiculous failure of capitalism to provide for a healthy society is beyond imagination. Just think what our country would be like if every single person could have a check up every year, have the availability of a physician and a health care system at a reasonable cost or no cost at all. Doesn't everyone see that in the end we would have a more robust economy. Don't people understand that only a healthy country can truly be a competitive democratic country?”
“Sure why shouldn't people be able to deny food, services or a meaningful participation in all aspects of society if they happen to be black, gay, hispanic, or are not in the habit of marrying their first cousin's? Why shouldn't we be able to make people sit in the back of the bus, make them pay a tax to vote, or deny them entry to a school because our religion tells us that they are not as Godly as we are? Sounds like Russia to me.”
“Okay Republican's let's reel in the debt by obtaining reasonable revenues, making proper expenditures and getting rid of welfare for the most undeserving amongst us all, namely Corporate America. Let's start acting like a functioning government where there are actually real debates and actual votes--- not procedural shut downs, or idealistic fights over issues in which government really has no right to be involved--- like how a woman uses her body or the sexual habits of American's or a desire to feed the the monstrous defense industry. Let's spend some time actually figuring out a way to get more American's to vote--- not setting up more and more roadblocks to participation. And of course let's start treating our Presidents with the respect that they are due by virtue of their legitimate election to the most important post in the world.
And most important of all, let's start working together to make the Affordable CAre Act work as best it can, changing what needs to be change, encouraging what is working and doing everything we can to make reasonable health care available to all American's. Nothing could do more to help our nation, it's debt and the economy than to develop a healthier and more productive society. Get on board Republican's or be relegated to the same fate as the Whig party.”

“Well said my friend all this republican fake debt talk is enough to make one scream. Any educated person knows what you advocate is the correct thing to do if one is truly concerned about our debt or the state of our healthcare delivery system in this country. So I say to republicans on HP propose increasing revenue that is allocated specifically to paying down debt [that can b e legally done] Since we already means test the individual american wanting welfare Lets means test corporations and farmers who receive welfare . Especially since the SP court has ruled corporations are people As fa as farmers go over sixty years of welfare without any means test says means testing them is long over due You should be far that also . Shouldn't you ?”
“Notice when the top third took off? Ronnie Baby came to Washington and set into motion the worst set of economic policies this country has ever known. Unquestionably the worst President we have ever had.”

“I my opinion G.W. Bush was, the mess he left behind was far worse than Reagan's.”
“It's just too bizarre that several of his closest subordinates would out of the blue come up with this scheme on the traffic; that there would be a mayor with personal notes of having her City's relief funds held in order to approve a pet project of the Governor and the Governor would have NO IDEA this all was going on. Come on folks! Perhaps it doesn't disqualify him from being Governor and even running for President, but the guy is just a bully and now that he's caught, it's going to get real nasty before it gets any better-- if it ever does.”
“He looked horrible. He didn't really answer the question about the fact that this could not be the only time that his staff went off the deep end with his nasty retribution approach to government. It's too unbelievable that this many people, so close to him, so dependent on him, and so much in awe of him, would do something like this unless they knew that it was something that he was okay with. His only anger is that they-- and thus he- was caught. What a __________!”
