“I did not watch the "debate" last night because that word has lost its meaning in the American senate.
There is no real exchange of ideas ever. The Republicans merely say nay to everything and with glee. They feel somehow that if they keep saying no, their allies, the big insurance companies will keep backing them to the hilt with all sorts of perks. That sour puss Mitch O'Connell stood there and lied through his teeth about how much it was going to cost. The Pentagon budget is one half trillion per year and I never hear anyone complain. We are losing two wars which we have been "waging" for nine years. The only "victory" I can see is the same one we won in Viet Nam. There are many Americans who still think we won that one. But we will still go on and keep claiming that our boys are dying for our country. No, they are dying for our government. We cannot police the world no matter how we try. The Republicans are beyond odious.”

“I suppose if the Congress tried to honor the poor, uneducated rednecks, the Republicans would be more than eager to give their full support to such a bill. From Mitch on down they behave like ignorant members of the Ku Klux Klan. They also pride themselves on being Christians, white, patriotic and hate all foreigners. It would be the only time they would not be the party of no, so why not try it just to get them to show their happy little faces. Mitch has a face that would fry eggs and Boehner with his eternal tan would beam from ear to ear to finally be able to say YES to something. They are still afraid of losing their guns, their church, their Social Security, their Medicare. One thing they will never lose is their ignorance..oh, and also their intolerance.”

The budget for the Pentagon this year alone is about a half trillion dollars. At least Obama is spending our money on Americans'
health and not for killing people on the other side of the world. You are a cheap gossip but your type of gossip is ruining our country.”

“I keep asking myself how anyone in his right mind can be a Republican in the U.S. nowadays. I have not found an answer. The party has shrunken to about 20% approval and continues to shrink. If they keep it up, they will disappear from the map. Their tired old faces just won't cut it anymore. The party of no. They whine all the time about how their "ideas" are not taken into account. Maybe if they had any, someone might listen. However, the only real cheering section they have are the ghouls on Fox News whose freaky crew spends all of its energy trying to promote hate. Their Grand Wizard, Rush Limbaugh, keeps up his clown act, and Bill O'Reilly, that pompous ass together with dropout Hannity and madman Beck and the rest of the sideshow acts entertain the American Society of Archie Bunker Rednecks. Their influence in the U.S. continues to wane in spite of their ratings. Specter's defection has really left them up in the air. Oh, sure, they say he is a traitor and only changed parties for political reasons. Remember the GOP when you think of how they voted as one good old boy group against Obama. How they wish he would fail. Oh, incidentally, they blame swine flu on the Mexicans and say that it is a terrorist plot. Murdoch, pull the plug on them and on yourself while you're at it.”

“I wonder about the Republicans. First of all, I wonder how anyone in his right mind can be a Republican. Secondly, that tremendous phony, Newt Gingrich, who has been shown to be such a piece of excrement on so many occasions in the past, now appears as a possible new leader of the Repugs. Fine, they have dug up one of their most disreputable leaders, of which there are many and he now pontificates against Obama who he thinks is too soft on our enemies and too apologetic about America. The Republicans criticize Obama if he smiles too much. The thing that most galls them is that Obama's approach is working whereas all Bush did was antagonize every mother's son everywhere. They are all just different shades of Rush Limbaugh. Newt is another one who should have faded into the background years ago.”

“Dick Cheney was an embarrassment for 8 years as Vice-President and he continues to be one. Why does he not crawl back into the woodwork and let Obama be the president? Obama is not always apologizing and when he does it is for atrocities which we have committed. What about the hundreds of thousands of Japanese we killed with our atom bombs? Did we ever apologize? If the Japanese began waterboarding Americans for that, we would all get soaked. I am for Obama all the way. He is trying to get on with the world and solve all the problems left over from Bush and Cheney, the two worst idiots ever in power in the U.S. It is a hopeless task. Between the GOP morons, who don't understand half the words that Obama uses, and Fox News, that gang of illiterate red necks, with their adored leader, Rush Limbaugh, we Americans are suffering a huge crisis and all those creeps want to do is knock Obama. He has more dignity in his little finger than all of those whiners put together. He said he does not pay attention to the politics and I am glad.”

“Rush Limbaugh in his speech tonight which was pure demagoguery and populism at its worst reminded me of Hitler, Mussolini, Father Coughlin, McCarthy, Huey Long and all the mad beasts that have stirred up the ignorant ones of their nations to hate. Through half truths and innuendo they inject the venom of their hatred into the minds of their followers. In this case, they have a whole section of the population still smarting from their loss of the presidential elections. Deep down, I am sure that he is offering himself as their "messiah", a name which he uses regarding Obama. His speech tonight sounded demented and I am sure that tomorrow the country will have had more time to digest what they witnessed. The Jews were Hitler's road to fame and the liberals and minorities which bug him most will lead him to become the leader which the Republicans are sorely in need of. When he talks of Obama's spending, he fails to take into account the spending on two wars which caused the deficit inherited by Obama. If dictatorship comes to the U.S., it will be the right and not the left which brings it.”

“Not only is Boehner shameful, his whole backward party is clueless about the world. They continue to live in a good old boy Archie Bunker atmosphere and if the big, bad liberals want to change anything and try to rock their boat, they begin to stomp their feet and threaten to take their marbles and go home. Fortunately for us Americans, they are no longer running the show. Their show got us into the great mess with their stupid trickle down ideas. It trickled down into the pockets of the CEOs and now our people are out of work, their houses are being taken away from them, the world is falling into a whirlpool and the idiot Republicans want more tax cuts. How in God's name is that going to bring about anything but more of the same. How many times to Americans have to show them that they don't want more of the same? They already had that horse manure for eight years under the pinhead of all times. If the Republicans would turn off Fox News, stop listening to Rush Limbaugh and look beyond the tips of their noses, they might see that the world has sent them a message, loud and clear. Their boat has not only been rocked but is sinking. They are about as relevant as a new electronic gadget which is obsolete before it hits the market. They still can't bear that Obama and the American Public whipped their tired old butts.”

“McCain is so irrelevant that it is laughable. He somehow thinks that he is still campaigning to be president. He's like some Americans who believe we won the Vietnam war. McCain should just spend his time going from one of his myriad houses to the other and bow out of the public eye. We saw more than enough of him with that she devil from Alaska who also insists upon foisting herself on us again. They both are distusting and no amount of pity for McCain's war suffering will erase the shameless image of his performance during that ill-fated campaign. He cannot bear Obama and is still smarting from his defeat. I don't for a minute buy that gracious concession speech. He is a total hypocrite. His party, the Republicans, represents all of the traits the world associates with the Ugly American. They hate the words liberal, democrats, change, minorities, welfare, entitlements and love the words corporation, big business, trickle down, tax cuts, surge, troops, and war. They are a mean and despicable party and that won't change until hell freezes over. Ignore them.”

“The Republicans are beyond belief. Not a single vote from the house for the stimulus package and now they balk in the Senate and want the CEO's of big banks to continue knocking down outrageous bonuses. It is nothing but the same old crappy partisanship they have been pulling forever. The words liberal and spending set them off, unless the liberality of spending is on the wars they have gotten us into. They have a Rush Limbaugh = Archie Bunker mentality. Sen. McConnell and Sen. McKane have knee jerk reactions. The latter is still smarting from his blistering loss in the most ludicrous campaign ever seen in the U.S.A. No matter how much Obama tries to reach across the aisle, those tight asses on the other side will never show anything but scorn for him. It is Obama who embodies the principles of Abraham Lincoln. They are still the warmongers, the torturers, the kick ass group that are always willing to send in the Marines and then ask questions. Their failure during the last 8 years has us on the brink of collapse and they still dig their heels in. They are unforgivable and will continue to be a thorn in Obama's side as long as he is president. They will do everything in their power to bring him down. Oh, I forgot, they also think that God is on their side. If you don't believe that, ask the crew at Fox News, that bunch of gems.”

“Rush Limbaugh's ego is bigger than Mount Everest. He imagines that Obama cares about anything that comes from his ignorant mouth. He is an old, fat, embittered, hateful, overly divorced, alone in his own lonely world with his pains and his drugs jerk who imagines that thinking people ever bother with his "ideas". His ideology is known as demagoguery. It has always existed and appeals to the ignorant in all societies. Unfortunately, too many of those ignoramuses are Republicans who have to listen to Fox News to know what is happening. To think that they are the party founded by Abraham Lincoln, one of our most illustrious presidents. How they shame him every day! One of these days, they will become extinct. But, what the heck, who needs them?”

“What a shame! I as a gay person felt encouraged by Obama's including the word gay in his speech which included all Americans. However, the intolerant Christians in our country, refuse to even listen to this man. We gays have always been discriminated by all of the others who are discriminated against. It would seem that they forget their own suffering when they think about us. I watch the crowd as Robinson is speaking. They are not at all attentive. Indeed, they are looking the other way. I, too, feel a great sadness to think that everyone is bored with our problem. I feel good for the blacks and their gains but it would seem that they voted for Proposition 8 in California to continue our discrimination. However, I have faith in Obama and believe that he is a good man. If the committee which surrounds him and controls the activities decided to eliminate Robinson's prayer, I do not blame Obama. I blame what Christianity has become, especially in its fundamentalist part, a religion of ignorance, literal interpretaton of a bible filled with contradictions. They still believe that Jonah was swallowed by a whale. Give me a break. That they believe but that gays are human beings like themselves, that is too much for their pea brains to fathom.”

“I find the term Religious Right repugnant and for that matter any terminology regarding Religion and politics in our country. All the hogwash about our country's being founded on Christianity and God does not square with the truth. George Washington and Jefferson would not have belonged to Jerry Falwell's church with their deist beliefs. Jefferson wanted to have a complete separation of church and state and look where we are nowadays. About 60 million Americans want us to be a theocracy, even though they don't know what the word means. There is so much ignorance in our country regarding our history and an equal amount of indifference. But oh what fervent believers they are in the literal truths of the Bible. Jonah and the whale is a great example. With the small throats that whales have, they only swallow lots of little fish. Jonah must have been the size of a minnow. Oh, they want God back in the schools and feel that they can't say Merry Christmas. What are they, mute? Just pray whenever you want, even at football games and say Merry Christmas or whatever. And shut up about it. Go on believing that Moses parted the Red Sea or whatever fable entertains you most but leave your religion out of the halls of government.”

“Most of the time, these kinds of accusations do not even command my attention because they are so frequent in our money grubbing country. The greed which has gotten us into the financial crisis is now taking a toll on the innocent and the guilty. Americans are tired of being the victims of big business and corrupt politicians. On the face of this matter alone, we see a governor whose overweening desire for power and wealth will be the endless source of TV news programs for weeks and weeks to come. My only fear is that the right wingnut reporters who scrounge under every slimy rock to find something to level against Obama will use this against our new president who has come under all sorts of fire even before assuming office. There is so much scum out there in the media, unscrupulous men and women who care little about whose life they destroy provided they get their "scoop" . This governor falls into the long line of politicians in our country who have gone down in disgrace. Unfortunately, they have a way or worming their way back when it all blows over.”

“Sarah Palin had her fifteen minutes which was much too long for her. She is about as interesting as last year's newspapers. Who cares whether she hunts, aborts or doesn't, pronounces final g's or dresses in sack cloth? She is a crashing bore. Alaska can have her. After all, they voted for her. She should go back to her church where they speak in tongues and preach to that group of ignoramuses. Guys get the hots for her but after they hear her yak for a while she begins to look like a nagging nobody. We are a faddish nation and she lasted a few weeks. Let her take her glad rags back to Anchorage and wear them for the moose. What a drag she was and still is. She still keeps criticizing Obama and at the same time talks about supporting him and wanting to offer her services.
That is tantamount to euthanasia.”

“I heard Sarah Palin talk of Obama's wanting to reduce the size of our military and as she said withdraw early from a war we are winning. EARLY. We have been there almost 6 years and we are far from from victory. Yes, we are winning like we did in Vietnam, another war we had no business in getting involved with. Iraq was not the cause of 911 and now we are dealing with 2 wars. Even in peace time, something I can hardly remember, we have over 700 military bases around the world. Imagine how much money we spend on them and on the wars. Then, to top it off, our sleazy Wall Street shysters get us into the sub prime mess which has shaken the whole world. Eisenhower warned us about the industrial military complex and now that the whole thing is hitting us in the face, we still have idiots like John McKain and Sarah Palin pulling the kick ass John Wayne green beret card. We need peace and less saber rattling. Let her get back to her moose and the wilderness and let John stay home at one of the 13 and write his memoirs. We don't need either one to solve the chaos that the compassionate Republicans have wrought.”

“Last night I received the robocall in which Hilary talks about Obama's lack of experience. I am so sick of hearing about this. What experience do any of the candidates have in the roles of president or vice-president? None. Zilch. What the hell administrative experience does John McCain have? He has behaved like an idiot throughout the campaign but his biggest mistake was naming that vicious banshee from Alaska as his running mate. She is out of hell. They both have stooped lower than low and show absolutely no dignity at all. I would not begin to tell of what people have called Obama because of them. They are both incompetent and I believe that we are going to see a landslide for Obama in this election. The sooner Obama is able to get started on cleaning up the mess left by the Republicans, the better. The whole world wants to see him win. Those who don't are the same old tired bible thumpers, bigots, racists, and rednecks..haters all. Too much religion has been injected into the national scene and I hope that that compassionate and tolerant hallelujah group which is Palin's bread and butter will go back into the woodwork. No one is stopping anyone from praying. God is not anyone's side. He is non-partisan. Or is he a he?”

“I have no sympathy whatsoever for this phony. His miserable life is of his own making and he spews out his hatred daily while his rapt listeners soak it up as if it were Gospel. He says he is exhausted after his program and wants to talk to no one. Like the stage actor who when he is not spouting the words from a script, he has no personality of his own. He lacks a sense of satisfaction in life because he has not given anything. Hatred mongering is not giving. It is contaminating. His listeners are like inveterate smokers who cannot kick the habit. He is the king of the American demagogues and his court is held on Fox News by such court jesters as Hannity and Bill O'Reilly. They entertain the ignorant elements in American Society, the true Americans as Sarah Palin calls them. Unfortunately, they too have a right to vote and they may pull off a last minute coup in this presidential race. Then, it will really hit the fan.”

Are we so stupid that we can't see that her political acumen is maybe good enough for a beauty contest question about what she would do to change the world but we are talking about her being possibly the most powerful woman in the world. Her intelligence compared to Gold Meir, Indira Ghandi or Margaret Thatcher, would be like a gnat compared to a dinosaur. I seriously doubt if she knows who those three women are. Imagine her giving orders to someone like Condaleeza's succesor. She would probably tell her to get in there and kick ass like the hockey players do against all those Muslims and non-Americans in the Blue States. Don't be surprised to see her as a regular on Fox News after she loses. They have a host of losers. She could team up with Ann Coulter. Birds of a feather.”

“I have one criticism of Olbernamn and that is that he talks a bit over the heads of the Right Wingnuts. But then, of course, anyone with a third grade education can do that. In his pointing out that Sarah Palin is a fraud, something I knew the day she first opened her mouth, he catches her in a trap with her own words. She says she dislikes labels when asked how she would label herself. Yes, she doesn't like them for herself except on exclusive clothes and the ones she tries to tar Obama with. She, with her six pack and phony Joe the Plummer and all the other cutesy people that she says make up the real Americans, is going to end up somewhere like Monica Lewinsky. Yesterdays newspaper and a really boring one. She may make a lot of "dudes" out there get their jollies by watching her with her sexy little "wink" but she should stick to snowmobiles and moose hunting because with that tiny quantity of gray matter even Wasilla is too much for her. It would seem that she shares the wealth with all her fellow Alaskans according to her own statements. How does that not make her a Socialist? Ask any of those idiots out there using the word so freely to explain what Socialism is and I guarantee you, they will be as lost as if you asked them where Tai Wan is. No more dummies in the White House, please.”

You put it out there and some of it sticks even after it is proven to be a lie. I'm sure they all were licking heir chops when they published it. And as for Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania, I, like Murtha, can assure you that they are racists and red necks. I am a Western Pennsylvanian, born in this deer hunting, church on every corner area of the U.S. People here have always been just what Murtha said. The truth hurts but lies hurt more.”

Sarah Palin was blessed by an African bishop who had converted a witch who supposedly was the cause of traffic accidents. Give me a royal break. And that stupid woman who thinks that one of the Vice-Presidents duties is to run the Senate should be sent to a boot camp for morons. McKain has gone from war hero to rabid pit bull. Religion has been the cause of nearly all the wars throughout humanity. Ignorance is its handmaiden and our country is awash with it.”

“Gen. Powell is a respectable, honest and intelligent man whom I admire greatly. However, his speech before the U.N. which was essential in allowing our nitwit president to drag us into this godawful war in Iraq, left him in an awkward position with a large sector of the American public. Whatever he decides regarding his endorsement will cause a lot of waves. He recently endorsed and even served as a witness for the senator from Alaska. I do not know whether he can be truly objective in the endorsement of a candidate. I would imagine that he, as a black man, would love to see a black president but he also has been a staunch Bush supporter so that if he backs Obama he will be vilified by the Right from traitor on down. I sincerely hope that he endorses Obama and not Joe the Plumber.”

I escaped from it years ago but old age brought me back to this area. The Archie Bunker mentality is still alive and kicking here. The real reason they do not want to vote for Obama deals with one thing..he is black. The same regarding the war in Iraq. They can talk all you want about spreading freedom and christianity to the heathen muslims but one word explains it all..oil. So, there you have it..black and oil and our country is capable of voting for McCain and the moose hunter in the face of a world depression. If McKain should kick the bucket, look at what we will be left with..a moosehunting homophobe who thinks she is a patriot.”

The two of them have brought out the worst in our red necks and believe me they do not only live in the South. I live in Western Pennsylvania and there are plenty here who believe that Obama is a Muslim, an Arab, a Terrorist, a Communist, an Atheist and a Socialist. They even say if he wins he will paint the White House black. The sad part about it all is that they truly believe it and they will voe for John McCain out of sheer ignorance. But what can you expect from the ignorant? The financial crisis also is a gage of how we have degenerated as a nation. The fat cats screw up and we have to pay for it.”
