“William Landes at the University of Chicago and John Lott at Yale, conducted a massive study of multiple victim public shootings in the United States between 1977 and 1995 to see how various legal changes affected their frequency and death toll.
“No, you didn't build a business completely on your own. You have to depend on other to buy your products, the delivery services to get the goods to the people, the people that maintain the roads, etc. etc. etc.
Everyone has had some kind of help so that statement is accurate, it was just purposely taken out of context and people with an ounce of sense knows it.”

“That's right, "right". YOU Did NOT build that. Which means, "no man is an island" and throughout your entire life, you've had help along the way. Try thinking, for once. It really helps.”
“Change the subject...democrat tactic... You are losing badly...”

“e t c h a s k e t c h...how do you like Romney's new pro abortion stance today....think this will improve his poll numbers even more now that he's got you all in his back pocket and throwing you all under the bus at the same time...gotta give him that”
“TAX FOUNDATION FIGURES DO NOT REPRESENT TYPICAL
HOUSEHOLDS’ TAX BURDENS
Figures May Mislead Policymakers, Journalists, and the Public
In reality, in a progressive tax system like
that of the United States, only upper-income
households (the top 20 percent) pay tax at
rates that are equal to or above revenues as a
share of the economy. The non-partisan
Congressional Budget Office and other
authoritative sources show that low- and
middle-income (the other 80 percent) pay a
smaller share of their income in taxes than the
Tax Foundation report implies.”
“Yah, I'm gonna write you back. You are wrong on m idicare. All you have elft to run on is medicare and Romney's tax returns. There is lots more that will come around in the next couple of months... You're gonna lose.”
“The liberals will find something in writing that supports their position — a study by liberal academics, a column by a liberal pundit, a report by a liberal fact-checking outfit, whatever — and latch onto it. They’ll latch onto to it whether or not it has any credibility. (Remember those viral charts that “proved” President Obama increased spending more slowly than any modern president? April Fool’s!) And, seemingly oblivious to the fact that there are strong arguments and scholarship on the other side, they will condemn with the harshest of invective the liars, imbeciles and flat-earthers who refuse to accept the “proven” facts. They will behave as if shrieking, name-calling and personal attacks somehow make their arguments more logical. For some on the left, hysterical rhetoric is the magical putty that can fill any hole in one’s logical argument. If you scream it, it must be true.
Another way that Obamacare hurts current (and future) seniors is through the Independent Payment Advisory Board. IPAB, as it’s known, will enforce cost-cutting on Medicare by determining which treatments will be paid for — and which will not.”
“Well right bright, you will have to see it before you believe it. Yes liberals read the bills that were passed, so we know what is in them. You watch fox and only speak to people who believe the same GOP propaganda that you do. Do me a favor......just think to yourself...what if the reoublicans are lying to the public and the democrats are telling the truth? What if what they are saying is true? Remember there were a lot of Germans that supported a dictator, and I believe that history is repeating itself. Go read legitimate news sites.
If Romney and Ryan put through their voucher program, the current seniors on Medicare WILL lose their benefits, as the younger generation which now pays for the elderly are forced to put their money into private insurance companies, there will be no money to support the current seniors. Pleas don't write me back.”

“The administration sat down with hospitals doctors and insurance companies that handle Medicare advantage (which are for profit insurance companies that take on Medicare patients at a hugh profits) and working with the providers, they agreed to charge Medicare a smaller price for services, and that is where you get over 750 billion in savings, which was given to seniors. The Ryan plan saves money by charging seniors MORE FOR MEDICARE. They will give seniors a coupon for $6000. and seniors will buy private insurance from for-profit insurance companies. It will cost seniors out of pocket more then $600/ month to purchase health insurance. Republicans are lying to your face to get your vote. Educate yourself.”
“Then why has the Obama Administration been extending the Bush tax cuts for the last 3 years?”
tammy3901 on Aug 21, 2012 at 22:30:00
“Actually, if the republicans win.....we all lose. Tell me one accomplishment that the republican party has. The democrats put through Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, clean air and water policies. The dems use diplomacy with foreign countries, the repubs.....war. Isn't it hard enough watching commercials of chrildren suffering in thirld world countries? Do you want to see that here? The repubs put through every little thing they wanted when bush was in....they deregulated Wallstreet and the banks and they collapsed. They gave enormous tax cuts to business and the wealthy, and we now have a Hugh debt with no money left for our prepaid services such as SS and Medicare. They received information one month before 9/11, bush was on vacation and couldn't be bothered. They attacked a country that did nothing to us, and left thousand of military and civilians dead and maimed. All nations use to look up to,America as a model of fairness and democracy...we tortured, and now they are dismanteling our democracy by suppressing voters. They talk about the debt, and they added to it when they were in control. They won't be happy until they defund this country and privatize SS and Medicare. But they will always find money for the weapons of war and war itself. What more could they do?? Finish this country off? Yes they will.”

“You don't know why they were extended? The republican congress was going to allow unemployment insurance to end for millions of American families if they weren't extended.
So Obama was willing to take a hit from his own base because he needed to do what was right. The republicans plan is to "starve the beast"(google it) by defunding the government so much that they can then say that there is no money for any social programs, such as Medicaid, Medicare, SS, food stamps ect. But there will always be enough money to send billions to Israel, start wars, and pump billions into the military industrial complex.”
In 1944, the Democrats bypassed Wallace to select Harry S. Truman as their vice-presidential nominee. Wallace was named Secretary of Commerce, where he feuded bitterly with Truman — who had by then ascended to the Oval Office — over the nation's confrontational posturing with the Soviet Union, which the agricultural expert deemed dangerously hawkish. The clash earned Wallace a reputation among his detractors as a "Stalinist stooge." Alienated but undeterred, he mounted a run for the presidency in 1947. One writer later termed his candidacy "the closest the Soviet Union ever came to actually choosing a president of the United States." Not that Wallace posed much of a threat: he garnered zero electoral votes. Chagrined, he retired from politics and spent many of his remaining days tinkering with egg and corn yields on his New York farm.”

“Relevance to his quote? His quote is actually more anti-Stalinist in nature. However in those days people who didn't toe the line politically were often called 'communist', which led to the McCarthy era.”
