“Because we live in the monetary system. And so because of that we will never ever ever ever see the end of corruption. Money shapes and defines who we are in life. So for all you folks who think Sara or Limpbag or Hannity or Mr culture warrior himself is the problem your waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off base, it's the magical world of money that turns us into pigs wearing lipstick.”

Why Susan Boyle Makes Us Cry
Commented Apr 19, 2009 at 15:39:36 in Entertainment
“I totally, completely agree:
"I believe we were crying for them and for whatever unrealized, yet-to-be-expressed talent may lie within ourselves."
I am trying to recall when (or if) i have EVER seen such a display of pure COURAGE and SELF-CONFIDENCE!!
otherwise, who would ever put themselves 'out there' before such judges and crowds?
She impresses me to no end.
And i cried each of the 4 times i saw it (and i'm a guy.)”

“That is assuming that the facial expressions you see and their timing have anything to do with Susan. There is no reason to assume that. It is a little movie, a script written, pictures edited. You think nobody knew what was going to happen ? Think again.
Nice voice though.”

Two Reasons Susan Boyle Means So Much to Us
Commented Apr 18, 2009 at 10:49:47 in Entertainment
“Thank you. Extremely insightful.
Clearly, Susan Boyle has an inner strength and courage that each one of us admires and desperately wants. No wonder we embrace her.
I wonder if she would have made an impact, say 4 years ago, when the economy was flying high and reality shows were not yet quite as common....
btw: "graciously welcoming an outsider" is THE core value of the Bible, regarding human interaction; tho one would never know it, nor see it, nor feel it in most American churches. How utterly ironic! and shameful.”
