America Without a Middle Class

America Without a Middle Class

Commented Dec 02, 2009 at 21:24:14 in Business

“The middle class is quickly dying as the core of what made us strong as a nation is rotting away.

Until we change the campaign contributions which put politicians in office and buy their favors nothing will change in Congress.

It is quite obvious to the average American who runs this Country, the Oil regime, Wall Street regime, Military defense contractors regime and the health care/drug industry regime ... leaving nothing left for average Americans. How intelligent is that in the long run?”

Vaccination: A Conversation Worth Having

Commented Nov 16, 2009 at 22:47:36 in Living

“I am with you Bill... Vaccines make Money... Good health and Good immune systems requires one to take the time to educate themselves on how they eat, what they eat, along with their life style

When you have a country where more anti-depressants are sold than the entire world combined I think perhaps we need to stop and re-examine the "Take a Pill Theory" which have been making the Drug companies hand over fist ...multi-billionairs.”

VirginiaJeff replied on Nov 16, 2009 at 22:59:09

“Vaccines make very little money, in fact. There's growing concern that not enough companies are interested in manufacturing basic vaccines.

At one point a couple of years ago, the U.S. was frantically looking for a company willing to supply seasonal flue vaccine, because the one we had relied on was not going to manufacture it.”

MNmommy replied on Nov 16, 2009 at 22:58:15

“So, no one with a healthy lifestyle has contracted H1N1 and died or gotten horribly ill?

You realize that a big part of WHY we pass out pills is due to our current health care system, right? Many plans will not cover a lot therapy, visits are limited and co-pays are high, ergo the prescriptions. Almost seems like there is collusion between the insurers and PhRMA. That said, mental illness hasn't and won't just disappear.

Criticize the system all you like, but don't criticize the sufferers.

Memo to Warren Buffett: Put Down the Pom-Poms and Tell Us the Truth About the Economy

Commented Nov 16, 2009 at 22:34:44 in Business

Obama's Choice: Jobs Now or Republicans in November

Commented Nov 12, 2009 at 07:37:28 in Business

“Excellent article ... You hit the nail on the head! America is never going to recover, no matter what the GDP growth rate is. Those that are working are working twice as hard for half as much.

If, there are no jobs except for those going to war, that is a pretty pathetic place for the country and seems to be the direction in which we are headed. Trillions of dollars are being wasted on these endless wars and no one says anything. Eventually, the greed of this will sink the Empire.”

No Difference Between President Obama and Candidate Obama

Commented Nov 03, 2009 at 18:53:10 in Politics

“If Obama is truly a leader as David Plouffee says, and not just a manager of Political Words to the public, than let us see some real reform taking place in Congress.

After all, it is a majority elected Democrats in Congress, along with a Democratic elected President.... So there can be No Excuse!

We read the numbers of what the Corporation Lobbyist do in buying votes and writing bills to their liking.
The systems is broken and needs real reform instead of lip service.”

Commented Aug 16, 2009 at 09:08:20 in Politics

“I believe the Republicans do believe in something.

They believe in selling "The Lie" to the American People, that free markets, capitalism unchecked takes care of itself, that you too can be at the top, instead of the indentured servants we are becoming. They stress the philosophy, you are not responsible for poverty of others or what you do to this planet. This disconnect is a sinking titanic.

We are moving towards illiteracy and uneducated with vast numbers of Americans who no longer read or read independent sources. They simply watch main stream corporate media which limits the information coming to them. Many American live under the illusion we have free press, yet they are ignorant and uninformed about other countries or what is going on in the world.

The Number One Business of America is Making War. It makes Great Profits. No wonder there is nothing left for health care.”

This is like the civil rights movement. The vast majority were for it but there were those who dragged their feet, kicking and screaming.

We must move forward on health care reform... All those nay sayers have nothing to replace it with but what has always been.. The health care insurance industry is a dying dinosaur.”
