“I'm surprised that the worker didn't get fired immediately and charges filed. In one local article, the girl threw the vegetables at the worker and then sat down. The worker followed her and then threw vegetables back at the kid, etc. Not good.”

“I think that brat had exactly what was coming to her. Is this the way this teenage girl acts? I say the lunch worker should go after this little brat and haul her failed parents into court as well. There's no place for that behavior in a school and it's high time SOMEONE took a stand.”
“What? The world has responded, for once, to a country ravaged. We cannot do enough for the Haitians. My logic is that the Haitians need not do for the Americans, as in feeding them, housing them, putting them on trial . . . duh.”

“Obviously just a legal maneuver to have a stronger hand with the will. It is very easy, at least in CT, to get a restraining order. Almost all are granted on the spot and then reviewed. They have lawyers fight a case.”

“Why would anyone need an upper hand in writing their own will?
If he wanted to, he could just cut her out of it entirely, and leave her with what she agreed to in the pre-nup.”
“The girl appears to be impossible -- two years behind her grade level and behaving like a savage. Then, a school cafeteria worker does not make much per hour, this woman is past middle-aged and the two probably had hostile exchanges before this blow-out.
There should be lunch aides in the school cafeterias who handle these situations which would have kept the error solely on the girl's part. You can't lay a hand on a kid, not even your own, in CT without major consequences. I know from working with them and having one.”

“Right, maturity means knowing when to walk away before a situation takes on a life of it's own, IMHO.
She'll get fired no question as well as being pressed with assault charges.”
“How does Elizabeth Edwards have such young children? She's too old. That's the only mystery in this affair. Who is taking care of these young children while she is undergoing chemo/dying? Doesn't she have better things to do?
I recall her referring to her husband's baby as "it" -- that says it all for me. Plus she's a lawyer.”

“Do you really think it's too old for a woman to have a child in her mid-40s??? Whoa, did you time warp here from the medieval times or have you just been living in a cave? You are crude to say the least and offensive to women who, either by choice or not, have a child while in their 40s.”

“I believe she had them in vitro. Not sure if they were her eggs though.”

“Oh, for heaven's sake. The existence of the young children is a fact. Don't YOU have better things to do?”

“Episcopalianism is one of the few Christian religions that accepts homosexuality and advocates for its societal acceptance. It is also almost identical to Catholicism in the way mass is held. Sad that the Hathaways did not find a good fit there; I hope that they keep searching.”

Well isn't that special.”

“From the outside looking in it may see "almost identical to the Roman church" but the only similarity is in the Liturgy. It's very different in theology.”
