Oral Roberts Dead: Televangelist Dies At 91
Commented Dec 15, 2009 at 19:17:57 in Home
“"Don't lay up treasures for yourself on earth," Jesus Christ unambiguously taught. Oral Roberts, and his family and followers, have done just the opposite of what Jesus Christ taught. Where's the Christianity in that?”

Chris Brown Lashes Out At Stores That Won't Stock His CD
Commented Dec 14, 2009 at 22:43:32 in Entertainment
“Oh, poor baby. As if Chris Brown's not rich enough already from making mediocre music. The hearts of millions of Americans who have to work *real* jobs -- or lost them and are struggling against foreclosure, hunger, homelessness and loss of health insurance (and thus health care) -- are bleeding for you. Boo-hoo.”
George H.W. Bush On Joe Wilson: 'How Low Have We Gotten Here?'

“Ask yourself honestly, George H.W. Bush: "What have I and my family done to American politics to let things get to this gutter level on the part of the political party to which we belong, and what can I and my family do to repent of the damage we've done and repair it, for the common good of all Americans?"”

Bush E-mails Found: 22 Million Missing E-mails From George W. Bush White House Recovered

“Very funny, ghee99. I encounter plenty of attitude problems (not "attitude problem"), waste, inefficiency (not "inefficency"), inability to protest and general unpleasantness in health care now -- privately run and accountable to no one. Instead of sticking to the old GOP canard that "government ruins everything," consider how well it runs police departments, fire departments, paramedic squads and other public safety operations on which we all depend. And get some tutoring in English while you're at it.”

not to mention the crooked cops, the rampant racism, the sense of entitlement, the "bully" mentality, the arrogance, the graft, and their propensity (at least where i live) to hang out in groups of 4-8 cops in front of 7-11 for hours on end.
Here in LA the last time i called them (about a drugged out crazy roaming the hallways of my building, trying peoples doors to get into their apartments at 3am) they took over two and a half hours to arrive, after i buzzed them in, they just looked around the lobby, didnt talk to anyone, and then left.
hardly a well run force.

“Being angry about something doesn't give you the right to break the law by damaging the property, harming the bodies or disrupting the lives of others, Averal.”
Averal replied on Dec 14, 2009 at 11:42:47
“Never said it did. Being angry causes some people to do stupid things.
As the anger level rises in America (there is ample cause) you can probably expect to see more of this kind of behavior. Maybe the question the author of this article should be raising is why the DMV is often cited as the most loathed division of government that most people have an opinion about?
While I personally agree with many opinions on Huffington Post, I will state that having conducted business with various government entities I have found that most (not all, but most) Civil Servants are neither servile nor civil. They give off an aura of self importance that is neither earned nor justified.”

Jim DeMint: 'I Need Some New Republicans' (VIDEO)
Commented Dec 10, 2009 at 10:47:23 in Politics
“How strange, Mr. DeMint -- you never spoke up for "constitutional government, a balanced budget and liberty" when the Bush administration was hacking all three of those principles to bits for eight years. You were mute as a fish then and went along with their dismantling. As for "the Republican Party having gone to the left," how much more to the right would you like it to go -- dressed in brown shirts and goose-stepping in formation, perhaps? Wake up to the smell of your own hypocrisy and stop the rhetoric, already. Humble yourself and serve the common good of America, rather than your self-serving partisan agenda.”

Rick Warren Refuses To Condemn Proposed Ugandan Law To Execute Gays
Commented Nov 30, 2009 at 16:57:17 in Politics
“Rick Warren says "It is not my personal calling as a pastor in America to comment or interfere in the political process," yet he has made his livelihood by doing precisely that, whether in America or abroad, under the cover of religion. Imagine him making that statement back in the 1940s about Jews being sent to Nazi death camps. Wouldn't there have been public outrage and moral indignation over such a cop-out? In refusing to stand up for the right to life for any and every human being -- created in God's own image, according to the Bible -- Warren dishonors and disobeys the prime directive of Jesus Christ: "Treat others the way you want to be treated" (Matthew 7:12). His stance is thus anti-Christian.”
