“Another good example of what a disgusting way of work those insurance companies do....
What can you expect from the people who has one goal ahead of them and that is to make profit from you. Losing is not an option, and that baby means a loss for them...A loss they don't want to compensate from a negligible part of the profit they make from most other living they gave the insurance to.”

“I agree with Obama. It was a decision to honor what may yet to come. And I don't think that is a good thing.
If Obama succeeds in his stated goals, that is fine. But if he doesn't and if someone else finishes what he pis planning to do, or worse if he somehow makes a mistake along the way that may not seen as establishing peace, then this award will be seen as a big disappointment.
Next, they can give a prize to a scientist who is planning to build something that will be one of the biggest inventions ever...”

About the waiter getting fired over this, normally it shouldn't have happened, unless the waiter had already signed a hushing policy before. But who can blame the owner, he should be after all a believer of the money God.”

“Honestly, I don't care about what he did. But, I would have preferred if he were to be more honest with his words.
Considering that for a long time, he went over the scandals of other celebrities or famous people in his show, it is really difficult to accept an apology that states he wasn't thinking ahead.
Surely, he was thinking a lot. He was enjoying a lot. Maybe the risks, maybe the power he has on others or the extremely well use of his status. And, most probably, he was assuming he would get away with it until the day he leaves his job. Maybe because the relationships were not a one-time affair kind of thing, instead long-term relationship providing him with more security. Who knows. Many possibilities, but all of these share a common point, and that is he was well aware of what he was doing. And he didn't care.”

“Maybe it is better to make the comparisons after seeing what they do in their country.
But, as a note, what they do is completely normal, and it is being done in most of the civilized countries, including most of Europe if not all. As long as they have good intentions in mind, then it should be okay.
One final note, DP in the last elections did almost the same. The only difference was that the candidates being picked were with substance. But, the result was partly based on their appearances. If the Republicans would have picked a female candidate with substance they would be doing the exact same thing. Unfortunately such a candidate wouldn't do good as a puppet, hence why they failed to find one.”

There are many "justifiable" and "understandable" reasons why she does not want to make this problem, again, the problem of everyday person, including the members of her family, again.
And I don't think you have the slightest care about this, because, you don't care about her. You even make a quick guess of money doing its magic.
Do you want justice for her? I don't think so, because for you she is still the kid from 30 years ago. Not a grown up person who has every right to make decisions about herself, based on her beliefs, whatever that may be.
If you are looking for justice, start with her and end with her.”

Parents have a role to reduce to possibility of such things happening to a minimum. In this case, how many times have you thought about why she was there in the first place?”

“If you had asked me what my opinion is 20-30 years ago (though I wouldn't be living or consciously at the time), I would have given you the thoughts, most probably, exactly matching with yours. But, unfortunately, time changes people and their views related to past. Especially, when both parties involved in a matter did everything they could to get over it. So, from that view, I respect their choices, wishes, and views.
The reason that I brought up the above example is not because I think the matter related to Polanski is an issue to ignore. Rather to give a much broader view on the same issue, and the people's ignorance of that.
I don't really think making Polanski an example to show the greatness of an imperfect judicial system will work. Targeting Polanski is just a make up, maybe to redeem what went wrong with the other rich cases. And, as the case with typical make up, it will wash off sooner or later, achieving?”

Or are you suggesting that if you're ever the victim of a crime and call the police you'll be satisfied with the answer "sorry, we're not going to be arresting anyone until the authors of the financial crisis are brought to justice. Wouldn't want to be hypocrites ."”

"Historically, women's rights and status in America have been viewed by both men and women as "soft" issues -- worthy but marginal.
Real problems are the serious ones -- financial crises, international confrontations, nuclear arms, trade disputes, Mafia murders, the Steelers/Ravens game (if it looks close).
But ills that plague the daily lives of women like rape, incest, prostitution and domestic violence -- not so much."

And, when their decisions are mostly based on superficial views, the result will be a matter of some kind of luck (maybe they let the God decide on that part).”
