What Happened When My Son Asked to Join the Boy Scouts

“i'm agree with your decision, brittany. i would do the same today if i had a young son who wanted to be a part of the organization. i didn't have this tough choice, because my son, who's almost 25, never showed an interestin boy scouts when he was younger. my kids have friends and relatives of different races, religion, orientation, etc., and they love them. they don't see those lines, they just see their loved ones or friends for the good people they are, and they love them unconditionally. i'm glad they grew up like that. the only time they are not accepting of anyone is when that person is being mean, hateful, and not a good person. my girls are at an age now (teens) where they are more informed about these types of things, so i don't have to tell them 'no'. but if i did, i would make no qualms about doing so.”
