“Henry Ford realized that his employees were also his customers and paid them a wage that allowed them the type of life where they could afford a car. WalMart has twisted this same ideal - paying workers low wages without benefits and relying upon taxpayers to make up the difference. WalMart is finally feeling the karma brought on by their greed.”

“You reap what you sow. These mega rich like the Waltons are short sighted and will eventually be harmed by the same policies they spent millions getting into place.”
“America appreciates these folks supporting our National Monuments - by admirably paying the fines for trespassing, willful destruction of Federal property and malicious mischief they took part in and so bravely photographed. Well done - now pay up.”
“Just like when Microsoft puts out a new version of Windows - I'll wait until they work out the bugs before going on line. So they are having technical glitches? Big deal. How often do high tech companies have problems with their roll outs - and they are supposed to be the best in the business. And anyone remember the glitches that screwed up Facebook's IPO - or how about the Market Flash Crash - or the Knight Capital glitch that cost over $460 million? So much for the free market doing it better.”
“She will not run. She will keep "hinting" at a run because it lines her pockets, but she will not actually run for the senate. Sarah is all about the money and nothing more.”

“Yeah.. Running and losing is not a good marketing plan but, the point up to the loss, THAT is a windfall. Ask Karl Rove. Which to your point I believe is her plan. To be the 'ham' with lipstick on it.”
“Let Walmart go. Save the mom and pop shops that will go out of business the minute Walmart opens its door. Save the social safety net payments my taxes pay for to subsidize Walmarts low wages, lack of hours and non-exisistent benefits.
“The coward has to cover his tracks with the social conservatives angry about all those scary foreigners Rubio is giving amnesty to. The man has no real ethics and simple sails wherever the political winds push his broken ship.”
“" . . . tacked the abortion regulations on to a bill targeting Sharia law."
Perhaps if these folks were adherent to the tenets of their own faith they would be secure enough to not meddle in the lives of others. Instead the GOP are liars, cheats and thieves who live in fear of boogeyman liars, cheats and thieves pushing their own agenda. Social conservatives are isolating themselves more every day. I look forward to their ultimate demise as a political party.”
“From what I've read polygamy seems to be among the oldest forms of marriage. Louis needs to understand the definition of consenting adults before opening his mouth and realize that it is not up to man, but God to judge.
“Congress can barely come together to name Post Offices - what made anyone think a grand bargain was possible? Not wanting to sound like Herman Cain here, but some of the legislative packages are getting out of hand. They try to encompass too much with a single bill that, between all of the amendments, mark-ups, and concessions, end up watered down into ineffectiveness. Keep it simple, handle smaller bills that are more effective with less junk and that actually have teeth. Those smaller bills would also make it easier to see where all our folks in DC are at - make them actually vote on everything.”

“Well, as I heard someone else say here the other day, they can work to name the same Post Offices, that they are working so hard to see closed down.
“Overall tax and regulatory burdens are at their lowest in decades. Healthcare costs are a product of the flawed business model of the insurance companies (they compete for investors in the open market and must constantly show greater profit to retain shareholders). Meanwhile, corporate profits and CEO pay have skyrocketed while cash reserves held off-shore total trillions. Individual greed and a lack of patriotism have hurt the average American worker more than any tax or regulation every could.”
im4mit on Jun 5, 2013 at 20:46:58
“the reason CEO pay has sky rocketed is because our Gov't keeps flushing printed dollars into our economy and companies are trading at like 50 times earnings giving the impression they are rich beyond belief ...our whole economy is held together with a bandaid and companies know this ... anyone with a brain knows how short lived this little bump in the economy is ...knowing this why would anyone hire ?? that 20 Trillion dollar debt and 100 trillion dollar unfunded liability lingers ”

“This is the guy that told a woman who had to abort her pregnancy that she should have carried the fetus to term even though it had less then 1/3rd of a brain and wasn't expected to live anyway during that whole abortion panel mess (the one that had ZERO women on it).”
“OK is a State that already receives more in taxes than it pays out. If Coburn wants to go it alone, then he - and anyone who voted for him - should be allowed to do so. Anyone who wants to join society and help each other out can stay in the club - the rest of you are on your own.”

“What is criminal is the fraud our representatives in Washington have perpetrated on the American taxpayers. They have legalized bribery and money-laundering. They have stood by silently while our democratic process is undermined for a select few to acquire more power and wealth. When will that crime be punished?”
“He should not resign - he should go after EVERY political non-profit. These organizations are nothing but a corruption of our democracy taking the power away from the people and putting it in the pocketbook.”

“Perhaps the republicans are worried about their 2016 nominee and her sarahpac.”
“So the IRS is getting flak for giving additional scrutiny to organizations dedicated to the ideal that we should not be paying taxes by "profiling" the name of the organization. I'm sure these "victims" were the same folks who were ok with the extra scrutiny placed upon the Arab-looking fellow right after the Boston bombing - even though he turned out to be nothing more than a victim. I don't see what the IRS did as a problem - just them going after low-hanging fruit. There are far too many so-called non-profits out there abusing their status for personal and political gain. The IRS should be scrutinizing every political organization for fraud.”

Fanned & faved.”

“so,you should call yourself Simple Mind. The point is that the IRS went after the non-profits, the point is that in its very political fashion, it went after convervative non-profits only. If you do not see the problem with it, then I can't help you, but I am sure you would see it a s a problem the next time the GOP person is in power and the IRS goes after liberal non-profits. I am sure you would be the first one to comment on it.
As far as you linking the Boston bombing with a tea partiers in the most liberal city in America, I think you are really just projecting your own biases, without any substance.”
