“Come now, really. The Virgin Megastore as a place to commune with like minded music lovers? Have you really ever been there? Every time I walked in, I couldn't think over the din. Every time I walked out, it was without a purchase, because they didn't have what I was looking for - too obscure an artist, too small a label.
Bleecker Bob's, Generation Records, even J&R Music World - those are places to hang out, talk with the staff, listen to their suggestions on artists you might have missed. Much of the youth you're condescending to are shopping there, not at big-box major-label pits like Virgin.”

Clearly, the Obama campaign also thought it best he stayed silent instead of fanning the flames and propelling himself further into the spotlight since from what Ayers said, it doesn't look like they requested he speak up to clarify his relationship with Obama. The campaign knew what they were doing.”
