“Guns can be used for personal protection and need a modicum of accuracy to hit the intended target. Nuclear weapons are indiscriminate. Big difference .... But you already knew that.”

“Okay, so your argument rests on the appropriateness of the object to its purpose. So let's dispense with the "inanimate object" argument - it doesn't hold water. A nuclear weapon is an inanimate object, but is clearly too dangerous to be in the hands of the public - so the question is not whether a gun is inanimate or not, but rather what level of danger we are willing to accept and whether that danger is justified by the benefit. And that question is wide open to debate. ”

“The Second Amendment, the NRA and any gun support advocates did not kill these children. A very sick and perverted individual committed this atrocity. A weapon is an inanimate object that can be used for good or bad... The weapon doesn't make the decision, a person does.
Do we stoop so low as to blame inanimate objects for wrong doing instead of those responsible? If so, we are diminishing humankind’s status to that of a rock!
These children were not adequately protected by security that could have prevented the shooter's access to them. Today, metal detection, chemical detection and other forms of deterrents should be standard issue at any public venue.
Why weren't these children protected by armed security personnel? Another standard issue item for all public areas. Gun control, absolute gun control will never exist. So let’s work on this problem in a logical manner... Deterrence and personal protection training will help far more than having roving bands of illegally armed psychopaths plundering unarmed citizenry.
I carry and only wish I could have been at this school if only to return fire and possibly distracted this animal long enough to shelter the bulk of the children and give police time to access the school. I could not do that by yelling at this animal that guns are outlawed, the Second Amendment has been repealed and he's misbehaving!”

This is true of ALL weapons. Even nuclear weapons. But would you argue to let people keep nukes at home? And if not, why?”

“Once again, Joe Biden lied his way through a Vice Presidential debate--just as he did in his contest with Sarah Palin in 2008. This time, the media caught a few of Biden's worst "malarkey" moments--as did his opponent, Paul Ryan, when he could get a word in edgewise.
Here are the top ten worst lies told by Biden during the debate:
10. "With all due respect, that’s a bunch of malarkey....not a single thing he said is accurate." At the outset of the debate, Biden tried to paint Ryan as a liar--when Biden, in fact, was the one lying. Ryan had pointed out: 1) that the White House had distanced itself from the Cairo embassy's apologies on 9/11; 2) that Obama had failed to speak up for Iranian protestors in 2009; 3) that the Obama administration called Syria's dictator a "reformer"; 4) and that the Obama administration is imposing defense cuts and projecting weakness. All of that is true.
9. "The president has met with Bibi [Netanyahu] a dozen times....This is a bunch of stuff." While they have met several times--not a dozen--that includes a meeting at which Obama made the Israeli prime minister enter the White House through a back entrance, refused to take a picture with him, and left him on his own for dinner. Specifically, Ryan had criticized Obama's refusal to meet Netanyahu in New York last month, and to tape talk show interviews instead--a clear snub that sent the wrong signal, again, to Israel's enemies.

“Most of us can trace our roots back to other continents and countries and show our forebears to have legally become citizens of this country and through their efforts build a just and God fearing country that became the bastion of freedom and human rights for all ... But it was done legally... Why would we consider doing it any differently?

Sears was once the preeminent family department store. I remember my father saying, "If Sears doesn't sell it ... It's not worth having". Things have changed! I now say, "If Sears sells it, it isn't worth having".
On August 16th and 17th we took delivery of a refrigerator, microwave, stove and dishwasher. Three dishwashers later and four stoves, we're still not finished with all the mistakes Sears has made.
I will say that the sales person, delivery personnel and installers were good to great representatives for Sears. However, customer support rendered anything but support and when corporate was contacted and asked for assistance they provided lip service and nothing else.
My family has relied on Sears for sixty years but I will never purchase another thing from this poorly managed concern again. I have noted that my families experience with Sears is commonplace. I guess when you have a Chairman of the Board that is worth three billion dollars, the needs of the "little people" are of no concern to those that ensconce themselves in ivory towers.”

“I wish to add that I welcome all peoples to our shores as long as they enter legally, pull their fair share and do not abuse the charitable nature of our people. Unfortunately, our attempts at humanitarian efforts are thwarted by the corrupt and opportunistic elements that exist in our society, both legals and illegals.
Most of us can trace our roots back to other continents and countries and show our forebears to have legally become citizens of this country and through their efforts build a just and god fearing country that became the bastion of freedom and human rights for all ... “Why am I not surprised that the left-wing liberal democrats are applauding the attempts of illegals to commandeer our country? I'll tell you. It's is because the Democrats, in order to remain in office, pander to the whims of the ignorant, lazy, entitlement oriented and criminally minded to secure votes.
There is a right way to steer our country and then there is the tawdry irresponsible manner in which the Democrats subscribe. If the Democrat's agenda prevails in November it will be a near death knell for the American way of life.”

“Ignorance is ignoring the fact that healthcare premiums have seen double digit increases since the early 1990's. While many uninsured would like insurance, pre-existing conditions and cost have barred them from securing policies. The others are freeloaders, who have been the main cause of rate increases for the past two decades. As a policy holder, you pay higher hospital costs to cover uninsured seeking medical care, and you pay higher insurance premiums to cover higher costs being passed from hospitals.”

“My son drives a school bus. His stories about the students on his route are very difficult to believe because of the total absence of any parental guidance coming from any family structure.
The parents, and I use the term loosely, condone and support the disgusting activities of their off-spring. The little animals are indeed, little animals, because they have never been disciplined. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying we should not hold them unaccountable for their actions but the parent need to be accountable for the apparent lack of character exhibited by these thugs.
These buses have, or should have, cameras that record the activities of the passengers and if they do not abide by the rules... They get to walk to school or inconvenience the parents by having to take their little cretin to school and then pick it up. Wake-up America! Our children are our future... Pretty bleak isn't it?”

“The bus driver needs to enforce the three basic rules that were in place when I rode a school bus umpteen years ago: 1) No one may leave his or her seat. 2) No talking above a whisper. 3) Anyone disobeying either of these rules will not be barred from riding the bus in the future.”
“Yet again, Obama shows his utter disregard for our constitution and the laws of this great nation. What, previously unknown powers, gives this charlatan the authority to decide which laws should be enforced and which ones should be ignored?
It is actions such as these that send a clear signal to the citizens of this country that we cannot allow this type of conduct to continue for another four years. He and his henchmen have hijacked this country in the name of executive privilege.”
