More Palin Lies: The Trooper in 'Troopergate' Breaks His Silence

“Wooten's take may not be a book, but it would make a very nice Vanity Fair article. Mr. Dunn, how about it?”
Donald replied on Nov 27, 2009 at 18:04:34
“While I certainly agree that Mike Wooten's past and present relationship with his former in-laws would indeed be an intrigueing subject for such an article, I hardly think the author of the pending book "The Lies of Sarah Palin: The Untold Story Behind Her Relentless Quest for Power" should be the one writing it, since his own views on the former Alaska governor can hardly be considered unbiased.”

“They're afraid Sarah Palin will say something as stupid as her interviews showed during the election and it will be played over and over again.
They are afraid she will once again take a phone call from a DJ posing as Sarkozy and laugh happily while he makes jokes about Nailin' Palin.
They are afraid you will ask what any particular chapter in her book covers since she had a ghost writer.
They have much to fear if she goes off script.”

GOP Strategist: Purity Test Will Doom A Republican Party Comeback

Two-Thirds Of States Would Offer Public Option: CBO
Commented Nov 19, 2009 at 23:46:42 in Politics
“I see states opting out of the public option as a short term win. Remember the Stimulus? In the end, they didn't "opt out" because their constituents would not support it. Same with the public option. Sure, some will try to ride that political pony, pounding their chest as they interview with Hannity on the evils of the public option, but when their citizens see other states successfully implementing it, they will either have to eat crow or get voted out. Just watch how it plays out.”
Cinnamonape replied on Nov 20, 2009 at 03:34:52
“Why would someone compelled to buy insurance (read young individuals...perhaps a bit on the libertarian side) support having fewer options? Particularly the cheapest option?
This is gonna blow up in the face of any legislature that prevents a public option available to the lower-middle and middle class.”

The need for reform is so urgent.
The greed, lack of concern, obliviousness to the problems many Americans are dealing with, in obtaining decent health care is obscene.
The Republicans and insurance industry deserve special places in hades for their lack of humanity.
Thanks, OldnGrumpy, for detailing why reconciliation may not be the best solution.”

“So why won't the Democrats go for reconciliation?
Why try and get the conservative democrats on board, when they can get a stronger and better bill by going for reconciliation and not try for the sixty votes.
Aren't the American people more important than getting all sixty senators--some of which are madly trying to spotlight themselves while attempting to water legislation down to nothing?
Where is the White House on this?
I am really angry.”

“We have very little empirical evidence to support the idea that true psychopathy is the result of an abused childhood, and much empirical evidence to support that it is genetic. The neurobiological model offers us the greatest hope of being able to identify even the most devious psychopath. Other recent studies lead to similar results and conclusions: that psychopaths have great difficulty processing verbal and nonverbal affective (emotional) material, that they tend to confuse the emotional significance of events, and most importantly, that these deficits show up in brain scans! A missing internal connection between the feeling heart and the thinking brain is detectable.
