What the WH is worried about, and rightly so, is press independence. Can you HONESTLY say that Fox News is independent of the Republican party? There are Left- and Right-leaning media organizations all around this country and there is Fox News.

No media organization I'm aware of has EVER referred to itself as the "opposition" to an administration; Fox News has.

The word opposition is not NORMALLY associated with a media organization. Instead, it is used to refer to a minority party, currently the Republican party. Fox News has made a business, not a journalistic, decision to incorporate the Republican party's agenda in their programming. You hear the party's talking points on the station day and night.

Now, I ask you, my friend, is this the role you want media organizations to be playing in this Democracy? Suppose every media organization in this country decides, strictly for business considerations, to emulate Fox News? Would you be happy to live in a country where there are two types of media organizations- those that cater to the Democratic party and its supporters and another group specifically promoting the Republican party's agenda?
