America Without a Middle Class

Commented Dec 03, 2009 at 13:40:47 in Business

“Thank you once again Ms. Warren, as usual you are on the side of the people. What is obvious is that "FREE-MARKET" Capitalism must die - IT IS ONLY "FREE" to the Oligarchy, because the rest of US are paying for it!!! It is time to end WELFARE FOR THE OLIGARCHY! That is why there was a revolution in 1776, and there must be a revolution NOW - because THE POWERFUL WILL NOT CONCEDE WITHOUT IT!!!!”

StuipdDrummer replied on Dec 03, 2009 at 14:58:34

“Why shouldn't we pay for it, we created it. Home loans we realy can't afford, maxed out credit cards. The 'Oligarchy' just gave us what we asked for. We failed and so they failed. The problem is not free-markets or capitolism, but human greed and desire.”

“Let me say I was never one that voted for these 2 wars - I believe that war itself is a failure on the part of the leadership. However, after careful consideration maybe this Mr. President is correct. Correct because if we pulled every single brigade out of Afghanistan tomorrow, then what would happen? Al Quaida would return immediately, and we just might have a repeat of Sept. 11, 2001 - and then who would be blamed, President Obama of course. Yes, I've read about the corruption and the crooked government in Afghanistan (but then again, America has a crooked government), and how Karzai isn't the most effectual leader, but what would you expect from someone handpicked by the previous mis-Administration?!?! The fact that the main cheerleading neocons (Krystal, Friedman, Will, etc.) say it is now a mistake is laughable, considering how hard they were pushing for both wars!!!!

Not to mention that the President's predecessor screwed it up with his diversion of revenge to Iraq, just as al Quaida was holed up in Tora Bora! Not to mention that al Quaida has moved into the border region and is striking out in Pakistan! We can say it's over there, but since it is the mess "WE" made, maybe "WE" should at least attempt to clean it up! Of course that's not to say that we don't need a time-table, achievable goals, and Karzai needs to clean-up his government & do his part!!!!”

The Housing Crisis And Wall Street Shame (Or Lack Thereof)

Commented Nov 30, 2009 at 14:21:15 in Business

“"Shame? "

Did you actually write that word?! I'll tell you how to "Shame" them - strip them naked, paraded down the dance line, with "average Americans" lined up on both sides holding bamboo canes giving each of these jokers a couple of swats!! Or maybe we could have them on the ledge suspended over water, and when you throw a ball and hit the bullseye, they get dunked - in all fairness, that exhibit should be flown (courtesy of the "Too Big TOO FAIL) around the nation, so that everyone around the nation has a chance to get off their frustrations off by throwing the ball and dropping the bastards into the water (ICE COLD)!

Maybe that will bring about "Shame" on their part - beyond any of the above and a few more ideas I can think of these greedy buzzards will still consider themselves the "Masters of the Universe"!!!!”

A tax (55%) on those unearned "bonuses", that must be paid!

A decrease in DOD spending and "off-book" military spending! As most nations don't spend nearly as much as America, and we're already "militarily superior" want proof just look at the desert wars in Iraq & Afghanistan.....

Liberal Elitism? No. Some People Are, Sadly, Stupid

Commented Nov 13, 2009 at 15:32:25 in Politics

“Though I did get a chuckle at some of what you said, might I offer just a few reasons why there should be a dialog:

1) You've already stated these people are "dumbed down" - but this has been a process over years that they have adjusted too.

2)Many of these people don't see how the dots connect, and are easily led because they are angry yet they don't know whom to be angry with.

3) Yes, I realize that this nation is in dire shape, and while "those people that think & reason" may not feel as though they need or want to go back to the 5 year old level of explanation, it really is an imperative that this happens!

4) Also let us understand that the propaganda machine via the "religionists", the MSM & their talking heads on the right has been built up to be a unified voice, the left doesn't have such an aparatchik, and therefore cannot hypnotize the sheeple as effectively!”

Joe Lieberman Filibusters Health Care While Americans Suffer

Commented Nov 13, 2009 at 15:12:36 in Politics

“While Lieberman is a political hack, Connecticut must be so proud of it's own! I'd like to know where is the law that says "THOU SHALT NOT TAX THE RICHEST"! I mean the "average American" has been taxed through the nose, my taxes go to pay those traitors salaries in Congress, so why not pay for Universal health care?! And why are those that have benefited the most from all of these "tax cuts" not pay their fare share! As for the sheeple defending Lieberman, my hope is that one day (very soon) you will wake up to realize how badly you too have been betrayed by those you are backing and turn around! We may not always agree on the same things, but some civil reasoned discourse must be enabled in order for us to tackle issues for which there is common ground!”

“"...the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington is threatening to abandon its social service programs if the District of Columbia Council enacts a pending same-sex marriage law."

First off, can we cancel the "TAX EXEMPT" status of ALL RELIGIOUS FAITHS IN THIS NATION?! Its too bad that these speeple feel that everything they are against is an "Infringement" of their rights! When did Americans allow themselves to be dumbed down because of their "faith"? Faith is supposed to be uplifting, and make one feel better about themselves and allow one to have a sense of serenity in the midst of whatever storm one finds oneself in. These ignorant sheeple would fit right in with the folks that conducted the Inquisition! The thing is, they are extremely selective regarding their interpretation of "the Book" they use!

These men who feel so threatened, be it is from women, African-Americans, or Unions that have gained rights for working people, they didn't appear to have that same sense of "righteous indignation" with regard to their child-molesting peers - is that something that "Jesus would approve of"! If these "religionist sheeple" choose not to marry the same sex - they shouldn't, no abortions - keep having children, and while they are at it they should adopt or foster some of those that are already in the system! But to coerce everyone to follow their dictates - hasn't the theocracy theory been discredited, and why the founders wrote against such in the Constitution?!?!?”

Make no doubt about it this is prostitution, except that in the end it is the average American that is being sold out to the CORPORATE WELFARE OLIGARCHY and their parrots in the media keep on stoking the anger of the people who don't think! It is time to stop this madness, PUBLIC FINANCING of Elections with no PAC money is the only way! These whores will not understand anything else!
