Adam Lambert's GMA Performance CANCELED: Good Morning America Calls Off Morning Concert

Commented Nov 24, 2009 at 16:30:18 in Entertainment

“Was Adam's performance over the top, of course it was, but it was designed to be that way. And by the time that the show had him on (last if I recall) - all children and purists should have been in bed asleep! As for the "religionists" in America, I gather that you all aren't having sex - because though he pushed the envelope with his "foreplay" - it's obviously something that you've never done?! And for all of those jiggling booty's on those videos heterosexual or not - do we all need to subjected to that 24/7 - someone's watching without complaints!!!”

“While I appreciate the article, I think that what's really being proven is that once again the US has bastardized some other countries food for profit. In Japan, sushi, is prepared by "chefs" that are trained & licensed to prepare this dish! The general tendency is to use Bluefin tuna, and it must be prepared just so, otherwise the results can be anything from diarrhea to death! All for the "profit" of a few....

My question - when there are no longer tuna (or any other fish for that matter) in the sea due to overfishing, what will you wrap in your sushi then?”

“While PETA kinda lost me after the President killed the fly, I can appreciate that the emphasis is on "factory farming" not an endorsement for a vegan lifestyle. And yes, I understand those on this post that want to emphasize "local farmers", however, "local" doesn't necessarily reside everywhere. And while I do try to get most of my meat & produce locally, I also know that I am still lucky enough to be able to afford fresh grown. And while I know that there are some who believe that "buying fresh locally grown" is a choice, my challenge to you is to really try and live on half of what you currently make, and then we can debate exactly how much "choice" is really available to "everyone" everywhere in this good ole USA?!”

“While the Oligarchy has been trying to regain their control since the reforms of the great Depression, it was that revered rethugnikan Ronald Reagan that really let the Oligarchy know that government was on their side! And the Oligarchy with their bought & paid Whores in Congress (both rethugnikan & democrat) have been screwing the "average American" ever since! Let's be truthful, when these "captains of finance" almost destroyed the economy as part of the bail-out they should have been forced to renegotiate most of those mortgages - the Oligarchy barked, and their whores in Congress did as their masters wanted!

We the people have been dumbed down and divided by bullshit issues, when the real issues are that many of the people that we've put in Congress are selling out our collective interests to maintain their own power and privilege via the Oligarchy! This must stop! We've got to wake up, and start voting these bastards out of office, regardless of "political affiliation"! We need people in office like Mr. Kucinich, Mr. Sanders, and Mr. Grayson - people that understand and stand up for the "average American" because they understand why they were sent to Congress!”

These people who "Love Ronald Reagan" don't want to recognize that when he fired the striking Air Traffic Controllers, he tacitly sent a signal to BIG BUSINESS that it was ok to screw over the "Average American worker", the working people of this country have been at war ever since! And if those ignorant apathetic sheeple on the right would only pay attention they would see that the very people they listen to and vote for are pushing an agenda for the Oligarchy! In all of these years that "taxes have been cut" my taxes as a percentage of my income have increased, while my income has not! Come on sheeple, wake up and pay attention!!!!”

“Now that Congress is awakening from the slumber produced by the money many have been raking in from the banksters, and realize that their reckless deregulation and "Free-Market" ideology have enabled the avarice & graft that are threatening to bring down this economy - we should all breathe easier, right? As much as I'd like to believe that thought, I am still not comforted!

What Congress should do:

1)Reenact some version of Glass-Stegall!
2)Commit to refunding & giving these agencies the teeth that they need and were created to monitor & prevent this type of mess from happening again- work!
3)Stop the revolving door between government/Wall Street/Banksters/Lobbyists!
4)Start public funding of elections (NO PAC MONEY/NO PRIVATE MONEY) to keep every politician honest!

Just a few thoughts to help them out!!!”

#3 and #4 are unlikely to be enacted.

Some sort of structural reform must be incorporated into the bill. Currently there are none, most of them are geared towards supervision (too much of it -- expanded powers of the executive branch and unchecked powers of the Fed).

Regardless of how much supervision you have in place, what would happen if the supervisor colluded or get too comfortable with the members, Bernie Madoff is the result.”

They already have! When they fell for the incoherent ramblings of a "grade B actor", and continued to fall for the lies about "the FREE-MARKET & getting the GOVERNMENT OFF OF THE BACK OF THE PEOPLE", yep, that's when as a nation we started sliding downhill! The final push over the edge was the theft of the election in 2000 with George W. Bush, someone that never successfully ran a company unless it was too the ground! Someone who as Governor of Texas presided over the state with one of highest teen-pregnancy rates, highest drop-out rates, and some of the lowest test scores in the nation! Then again they had "G-d", so I guess it was alright! However, for the nation as a whole we're continuing to scrape the bottom for an ideology that is bankrupting the people (both financially & morally) even as the Oligarch is getting richer!!!”

“As Americans have been dumbed down and divided by "faux issues" we've allowed our democracy to become co-opted and over-taken by the Oligarchy! The "Great Depression" of 1929 - should have proven to us that there is a way out of this morass that we've allowed "our elected officials" to create! Outsourcing, "faux free trade", massive deregulation, wars, and the greatest economic divide since the roaring '20's led by the corrupt avarice banksters, politicians, and large corporations, deregulation, and the undoing of our democracy has ensued!

While "we" all will continue to have our differences the one thing that we should all be able to agree on is that our current economic crises are vastly affecting the lower to middle of our society! Those that continue to push the "unregulated free markets" are obstructionists and need to be dumped along with the rest of the Wall Street trash! The very people that got this nation into this mess are not the people we need to depend on to lift the country out of the very same mess! We need rules, regulations, and people that cannot be bought to stand up to the tide of avarice and indifference of the few! We also need to close the revolving doors of government, so that there will no longer be a minority benefiting off of "we the people"!!”
