“You have to remember though that a performer is managed and has a producer and if there's failure on the part of any performer, it's often due to whoever manages them and their prodcuer as well. This is Lambert's first time out really in the big time. He's smart though and althogh his decbut album isn't up to par, he ma learn from it very well and get new management and a new prodcuer, that is if he's hasn't been sucked into some long-term contract.”

“I just listened to previews of Adam's songs from his new album at Amazon and what a piece of crap. He needs to find himself a new producer because with the exception of "Soaked", "Sure Fire Winners" and "Time For Miracles" which are good songs and done well, the album is overly engineered and the music too intrusive. You don't really get to hear Lambert's very good vocals. The same thing happend with Sam Harris when he won Star Search. Here was a guy with an exceptional voice who sang songs geared to a mature audience and then when he signed with MoTonn, which was a great mistake, they didn't jhave a clue as to what to do with him and gave him teeny boppper songs to sing on his debut album and it totally failed. He confused and lost his already built-in audience and never fullfilled his potential as a great recording artist. I hope this doesn't happen to Adam but considering his debut album, he needs to be smarter about his songs and the producer he has to produce his next work. .”

“His performance was around 10:30 pm. That is NOT family viewing time and everyone knows when you see this kind of award show that it might not be suitable for kids. It's like parents complaining abou the internet and the porn their kids view on it when a lot of these parents don't take the time to minitor their kid's netsurfing etc. Not that what Adam did was porn because it wasn't. It was about as much porn as Marulyn Monroe walking around in a tight dress with her boobs almost falling out of it and shoving her boobs in Tony Curtis's face in "Some Like It Hot". It's called FUN.”

“It's certainly ok to make generalizations about a society that in general is puritanical at heart and hypocritical as well. We get all tense and fussy about Lambert ONLY because he's Gay but when female performers do their stuff on stage or even male ones like Michael Jackson who grabbed his crotch and rubbed it time and again, there's no issue.”

“er...it's Kris who didn't perform on that show last night and all performers keep trying to proves themselves. Kris is nice singer--nice--and limited to country fairs, coffee houses and prom nights. Adam has a much larger audience.”

“Artists, real ones, use gimmicks all the time. The Beatles had their hair and for that time THAT was a gimmick and it became their trademark. Elvis had his kitchy costumes as did Elton John etc. Granted, Lambert's performance wasn't up to par and maybe he was throan off because of the fall he took but he's a very talented guy and has a long and successful career ahead of him. He need to find better materual than what we heard last night though.”

Few murders commited at random with guns, Gay rights respected in several countries, even majiuana legalized in The Netherlands etc, a woman's right to an abortion guaranteed without gross limitations as pols try to do here etc. That's very smart and sophisticated plus if politicians tried to do what many of them here tried to do deny us healthcare with government sponsorship, Paris would be burned to the ground by students and others.”
