“After you write your letter to the Social Security Administration surrendering your future benefits -- y'know, 'cause government can't do anything right -- come back and flex your puny biceps.

While you're at it, write the local fire department and instruct them not to respond to any alarms at your address -- y'know, 'cause government can't do anything right.

And don't forget your police precinct. Tell 'em to ignore those 911 calls from your number -- y'know, 'cause government can't do anything right.

For closers, instruct your local highway department to leave those potholes alone in front of your shanty -- y'know, 'cause government can't do anything right.

“Any right-wing mathematicians in the house?

Have yet to hear anyone -- ANYONE! -- address the insanity of protecting an industry that marks up the cost of medical care 30-to-50-percent while cherry-picking policyholders, capping benefits, precluding those with pre-existing conditions, etc., etc.

Someone PLEASE do the math... explain why single-payer with, maybe, a two- or three-percent overhead and reasonable fee-for-service standards is a bad idea. (mas0chism is not a valid response)

“I can tell you, it is going to be catastrophic to try to turn this Healthcare Titanic around and it can only be done incrementally.....First i thought would be to allow 50 and older into the Medicare system...I am newly diagnosed with breast cancer and would love to quit my job and focus on my healthcare and grandchildren for the next 2 years,,,but can I do that, heck no!!!! The premiums from Pig Health Care are too high and sure I can get insurance, I just cannot afford it AND my house payment. So I am stuck working for a company that just took away 2 weeks of paid leave.....

If we get more people insured, that means more business for the providers who are not really ready for it,,,God Forbid that the AMA would increase the number of MDs graduating from medical schools in the 70s......to now....there was no increase at all,,,,what do we do? We steal away educated healthcare professionals from poor countries who need them......what a racket...”

“Broadly, a low-frequency growl, the result of poor filtering of 60-cycle alternating current (what comes out of your wall sockets) in audio circuits. The bane of audio engineers, it ruins program material such as music and, all by itself, is a droning, maddening noise.

Hope that helps!
