Palin: "If I Die, I Die. So Be It" (VIDEO)

Commented Jul 07, 2009 at 08:55:22 in Politics

“Just reading down a list of all these comments is enough to see why Palin wouldn't want to be in the public spotlight any further. Maybe she's just really tired of all the hatred and the effect it has on her children and husband. That is enough to make her want to walk away. She looks very happy in the fishing overalls and that could be the real Sarah Palin. Where would she be today if McCain had not chosen her as his running mate?”

NewDem08 replied on Jul 07, 2009 at 09:42:04

“Oh, give me a break. She LOVES the spotlight, but only when it's flattering. And as that became increasingly impossible, she bailed.”

fabricnthreads replied on Jul 07, 2009 at 09:23:33

“She would still be doing all those things she was getting away doing under the radar:

killing wolves from a plane, continuing to charge the taxpayers of Alaska to live in her own home, billing family travel to the taxpayers, having Todd muscle her ex-brother-in-law, waving to Putin from her porch, committing more potential ethics violations, and basically failing as Governor of Alaska, just to name a few .....

Lamenting the fact that people questioned her, made jokes about her and her ADULT family members, the press and media were too mean to her? Her skin is too thin to be in politics. She puts a dog in every fight, can't even pick and choose her battles.

If she can't handle what has been said/asked/challenged of her thus far, a run for the top job would push her over the edge. The Republicans would eat her alive , toss her carcass aside. The Dems won't even have a chance, she will be picked clean by her own party.

She hasn't got what it takes, wants to play in the big league but by her own rules.

She brought all of this on herself. When you put yourself and your family out there, you either buck up and be honest, forthright and clean, or crash and take your family with you.

She isn't exactly performing as Governor, just collecting her money. She wisely chose to reliquish her job to someone actually willing to do it.”

“$$$ is what's making her "walk away" from her $100,000/yr job. Especially since the latest ethics complaint came from a conservative who is questioning her need to charge taxpayers perdiem to stay in her own home when other people he knows commute the same distance every day.”

“I can't believe all these casual comments on how North Korea would never attack us. Get real. They hate us and want attention and will get it any way they can. If they say they will atttack us then we have to assume that they will at least try. Maybe they won't be able to send a missle to Hawaii but then again they might get "lucky". We don't want them attacking Japan or South Korea either. We need to have our defenses ready and our minds ready for any possibility with them. At least Obama has the intelligence to know which countries to watch out for. We have wasted so much money in Iraq not to mention the lives gone and for what?”

LiberalBuzz replied on Jun 21, 2009 at 12:30:43

Losing your own money is very bad but losing other people's money has the added dimension of guilt. This is not the time to get out of the market. This can be attributed to fear and the markets will recover when people once again have confidence in their ability to make money by investing in commerce.”

“That is simply outrageous for you to call Barney Frank a criminal. He was thinking of the country unlike those 12 babies who couldn't vote for this bill because Speaker Pilosi hurt their feelings. Barney Frank has served this country admirably since 1981. He could have made much more working in the private sector but has instead taken much lower pay to work in behalf of, yes, even people like you.”

He called us chicken littles and then called us racists for investigating the now proven fraudulent accounting practices of Franklin Raines. It must be nice to be able to change history any time you feel like it.”

“The problem is that thoughtful people and enlightened, educated people see the "light" in regards to McCain and those getting their news from friends and Fox news do not. So many love the cheerleader aura of Sarah Palin that they aren't even really connecting with their brains. John McCain has had THREE melanomas. That is the kiss of death, unfortunately. I doubt that he would make it through the first term. Ready for President Palin? - I seriously hope not.”

“What a shame that the media will convince the voting public that Obama is not the best candidate. I, for one will be voting for McCain if Hillary is the one chosen by the Dems. How can anyone not see what she is - a liar. If she lies about something as obvious as the Bosnia incident, then how can anyone trust anything coming out of her mouth? Then there's her husband. How can anyone want to even imagine him in the White House again with all his character flaws? I don't get it. America had a chance to heal itself, but without Obama as president I don't see a bright future for us at all.”

We just can't let the media headlines get us down!!”
