“The Constitution is CRYSTAL CLEAR on when more than a simple majority is required. The chambers of Congress can make their own procedures, but changing the number of votes is clearly anti-Constitutional.”
“Actually, you can. It's a mere matter of priorities. Clearly, this issue provokes a discussion of EXACTLY those priorities. Being trapped next to someone's phone conversation is a very uncomfortable situation for a great number of people.”

“Oh I'm uncomfortable so let's make it illegal! You know what should be made illegal? Things that physically harm other people. I said this before, if you want to ban people on cell phones, I get to ban babies on planes, that makes me uncomfortable too. If you do that, I'll gladly give up my phone while flying :D”
“"If the credit card statement did not match the actual credit charge (which you can be 100% sure the restaurant checked out), then she would never have been fired.
Sorry, but that is not a true statement at all. There is no connection between the two, in terms of EVIDENCE. Not saying that the customer isn't right and all, just that the actual evidence has not been presented to us here.”

“Stop being ridiculous. Seriously, you seem to be so married to the idea that she was discriminated against that you refuse to even see the most obvious evidence. You even claimed you had never seen the credit card statement when it has been shown repeatedly.
If the charges did not match then the couple would have been guilty of slander (because they named both her and the restaurant). If you think the restaurant, who was initially adamant about supporting her, wouldn't have noted the discrepancy, then you are beyond help.
This is patently obvious. You are as bad as a birther if you think this hasn't been proven.”
“I see a merchant copy signed w/o tip and a customer copy where the tip remark could have been supplied at ANY time. I've NOT seen any copy of the credit card statement, only heard about it from the quoted WNBC source. As a credit card site developer, I've seen customers even doctor their statements when making claims. Perhaps some actual evidence of payment would clarify this story.”

“You haven't but the rest of us have. The customer produced it weeks ago.”

“they showed the credit card statement .

“The videos of the follow up story show the statement.
If the credit card statement did not match the actual credit charge (which you can be 100% sure the restaurant checked out), then she would never have been fired.
“The GOP should be more compassionate to the less fortunate, too, right?
They should also be more honest about immigration reform, too.
How about more empathy for storm victims instead of threatening to deny them aid, in their time of need? Or how about a helping hand for the unemployed instead making them pee in a cup? Maybe they shouldn't have filibustered the Veterans Jobs Bill while our returning Vets have been struggling to find work?
