“Does any of this really matter??? TW is entitled to his life; if he want's to play-around, what connection does that have to his job - golf ???? America, grow up and find your own business. TW's is losing his sponsors, not because he's really done anything bad to golf, but because those sponsors are trying to manage [save their investments] the fallout of a nation of people too interested in the personal lives of others.

Tomorrow, hell, today, will it make any difference to your personal life if TW is a player [golf or otherwise]? Will jobs suddenly come back because the pubic knows that TW likes the blonde's? Will health care suddenly pass and be the type of bill it should be because TW has a wedding ring on his finger? I don't think so, at least, not in my life.

So, I don't care either way as it will not feed my family, put cloths on my back, power my computer, make my beer taste better or any of the more important things making up my life.

So, everybody - give it a rest and make your own life meaningful, don't depend on the success or failure of others to give yourself absolution or praise.”

“Nice try, but again, your comment seems to deliberately misses the point; FOX claims to report news as other news organizations. However, the evidence support the conclusion that FOX feeds only on news that fits its world view. If FOX doesn't like the news then it proceeds to make the stuff up rather then live up to its tag line: 'we report you decide".

That's the problem, not that the administration or anyone else is shopping for reporters that act as 'cheerleaders.' Forget focusing on the administration, whether they have the particular issue right or wrong. When a news organization violates its own rules of engagement then said organization needs to be examined as to its claims. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and p00ps like a duck; then FOX news is a freakin' DUCK.”

It seems that Reagan and his ilk were/are very good at appealing to the base nature of humans: SELFISHNESS and clothing that ugly trait in pseudo-religious-capitalistic garb as if that somehow makes it more acceptable.

Call it what you want, but, your defending this course is nothing more than being asleep at the wheel. The fear you are articulating is loud and clear. Why shouldn't you be afraid; they control you with excessive debt, outrageous health-care cost, they bait you with hot button words and phrases, they reward you when you respond like a good little capitalist; and laugh at you because they know you're striving to join their club ... because of this, they also know you are willing to step over the bodies of fellow Americans to get yours- but the odds are you'll never get in the club, but, they know that you will continue to produce the means by which they will remain and grow wealthier and more powerful chasing their carrot.

But fear not, you have nice long bootstraps; you'll need them to continue pulling yourself up ... Ha!”

This bickering between republicans, democrats, and independents is nothing but a distraction. Just as race relations, excessive debt, and fear; these are the tools used by the wealthy (not rich) and powerful to keep their wealth and power. It's their way to keep us divided and in confusion. Until we (dems, repugs, ind, etc...) finally identify those pulling the strings, we'll never get out from under them.

“Didn't the professor ask the officer for his name and badge? I think I understand the position of the professor, if you've never had a police officer stand in YOUR living-room ordering your around; you can't understand.

If it's true the professor asked for that information from the officer, perhaps the anger of the professor intensified because he wasn't being accorded the respect the LAW called for. Why didn't the officer just answer the question (oh, I know because the office felt he was in charge and he was the one asking all the questions). I'm inclined to believe the arrest was an abuse of authority and used to inconvenience professor Gates into submission.

“The problem is that Iraq NOW has a connection to Al Queda that didn't exist prior to Bush declaring "Mission Accomplish"; Once America leaves, Al and friends will flood into the void, we've wasted precious time in Iraq looking for WMD (really OIL) and along the way made more violent and younger enemies. Trust me Bush and friends have profited from this war with the blood of our children. McPalin doesn’t even worry about the blood (most likely because of believing that the young are valid pawns and know the risk when they sign on the dotted recruitment line).
I truly believe that Sarah Palin herself along with Todd her husband are McCain’s October surprise; the people really ‘paling’ around with terrorist are Palin’s husband, Sarah Palin (either directly or through her husband) and whatever connection existing between McCain and Sarah Palin. Very strange McCain bypassing OBVIOUSLY more qualified republican women to select a person relatively unknown with such a bizarre background; the MSM needs to ask WHY, why her with her past (no candidate in their right mind would select a person with so many negatives intentionally… was it improper vetting or deliberate selection; what’s Johnny MaC’s connection to her, though he claims to have not known her, why select a person married to a publicly known separatist, he had to know and understand that this would raise eyebrows?!?!?!”
