“Can you imagine booing Laura Bush at the opera? When we boo symbols like the first lady, we boo ourselves.”

“Didn't see you comment on the vile shouts against Bush at a baseball game or when he was disrupted while welcoming new legal citizens at Monticello. What hypocracy.”

“No, these people are working class types who have struggled to work and put food on the table, whilst Michelle jets off to another luxury vacation on the taxpayers dime and waxes poetically about Kobe beef and arugala. These people don't have time for elists.”

“White guy Rush Limbaugh: "I hope he[Obama] fails. Boemher and McConnell: "Our #1 job is to defeat Obama." Power and greed worshiped over love of country. Today's Greed Over People has no shame.”
“Wikipedia says "...long history of cursing and heckling other artists and performers. ...openly groped a woman's breasts at a South Bend, Indiana sales event, and mentioned his proclivity for ritual territory marking through urination, once relieving himself on a Winnie the Pooh figure at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim while saying "This one's for you, Walt."...behaved badly during a stressful time when he overindulged in food and drink, Kinkade said accounts of the alcohol-related incidents included "exaggerated, and in some cases outright fabricated personal accusations." The letter did not address any incident specifically.
...Kinkade became drunk at a Siegfried & Roy magic show in Las Vegas and began shouting "Codpiece! Codpiece!" at the performers. Eventually he was calmed by his mother. Dandois also said of Kinkade, "Thom would be fine, he would be drinking, and then all of a sudden, you couldn't tell where the boundary was, and then he became very incoherent, and he would start cursing and doing a lot of weird stuff like touching himself." In June 2010, Kinkade was arrested in Carmel, California for driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was convicted."
Personally, I never responded to his paintings with inspiration and uplift the way I was led to believe I should. Perhaps this is because the works were a true reflection of an at best ambiguous creator.”
“I changed providers to get Current when he started there. But his performance wasn't original, entertaining or interesting any more. So glad Current offers other good programs like Young Turks and War Room with Jennifer Granholm.”
“Why we are so bankrupt as a nation: elections aren’t about best solutions and policies any more. Republicans can’t run their most viable candidate because he has a weight problem. And we are reading about this stupid nonsense instead of the issues of unemployment and foreclosures and crumbling infrastructure and general dysfunction of government.”

“Whose weight problem is keeping them from running?
Although, really, if your weight is causing medical issues, it is likely a good thing you don't run, as the stress is a killer on healthy people.”
“Too bad we don’t require pet sitters to be trained and licensed. This case is such an outlier from any version of common sense or normal compassion that the most minimal entrance requirements would have washed her out from such a program.”

“Anyone hiring a person to take care of their pet can demand their pet sitters be trained. Might be hard to find one and the cost might be prohibitive for some. We have a doggy day care here that is fantastic!”

“Actually, in most states, if you make above a certain of money yearly, you do have to be licensed. I've heard of petsitters leaving the animals alone for days til just before the owner returns, withholding water for extended periods of time so dogs don't have to be walked as often, taking large groups to dogparks while leaving some of them in the car for an hour or more since most parks have legal limits for the number of dogs per handler, etc. This is a first, tho. Have any of you seen the dogs being dragged around by owners on bikes? Some of them can barely keep up. It's disgraceful, abusive and thoughtless. Yes, I am a professional petsitter and each and every client's critter is treated as my own when they're gone!”
fusillijerry on Sep 21, 2011 at 20:24:58
“Really? A bureau for pet-sitter certification? In every town? Is the neighbor kid certified? How big an office should this be? Who certifies the trainers of the pet-sitters? Are they full-time?”

“Can we license parents first?”
