“These people are shallow trashy con artists. I read an article about how their "America's Polo Cup" charity event didn't deliver any money for the charities despite taking over $300,000 from sponsors -- and even charged one of the charities $2500 to appear.
Their "charity" should be audited and their 501(c)3 revoked if that's true. But that would mean that their actions have consequences -- and that's not something that will ever happen to them, unfortunately.”

“Geez --
I checked out Fox -- and if Obama thought he was going to get 5 minutes of a break from those a$$*****, he should watch O'Reilly and Rove -- two little doughboys who have never spent a single day in combat grouse over his lack of passion for sending our 18-40 year-olds over to Afghanistan to tramp up and down mountains while KBR and the rest of the contractors make millions off their exercise in futility. And listening to O'Reilly pretending to have concern for how Afghan women live?? That about makes me want to throw up.
I'm glad there's an exit timeline in there -- but every man and woman who comes back scarred and unable to live a normal life for the next 60 years because they're living without an arm, or have TBI, or the emotional scars of war... this is just wrong.”

“Thank you Michael Moore. You speak truth and sanity. There is no question that this is a war by the military/industrial complex, for the military/industrial complex and of the military/industrial complex.
We are not fighting the poorest nation in the world "for our freedom". We are fighting it because each soldier represents $1,000,000 -- breaking down to $30,000-50,000 for the soldier -- and probably $750,000 + for KBR, Halliburton, and all their subsidiaries -- who are represented daily on Fox by Liz Cheney and her KeepAmericaSafe.orgg" front organization.
If Obama was presenting a plan where we were sending in schools and vocational training, doing microloans (like Pres. Obama's mother started in Indonesia), drilling wells, and helping Afghanistan develop their natural resources and start to help this country become self-sufficient and move ahead --now that would be a plan I could support. I read that China is going in to develop copper mines (and probably exploiting the local population as they've done all over Africa). They're smarter than us -- they're actually going to get something out of this while America racks up debt on this venture.
But you can't fight a religion with soldiers -- it doesn't have a finite number of "soldiers" -- it is a belief system. And we're not fighting Bin Laden either. “Terrible, terrible day -- my heart goes out to the families of these 4 cops who went out and were having an ordinary day winding up their paperwork and destroyed in just minutes.
It will be interesting to see if Fox has any coverage of this tomorrow. You can bet that if it were a democrat governor, they'd be all over it right now.
Roger Ailes destroyed Gov. Dukakis over Willy Horton -- this man is much worse than Willy Horton -- and especially some of the other cases Huffpo wrote about. Wonder if they'll continue with Huckabee's show.
I do believe Gov. Huckabee's genuine and had some good intentions -- but you'd think that after a few of his pardoned prisoners committed crimes he would have learned a little. There's a little 6 year old girl whose live was destroyed by this man -- in addition to the families of those officers -- and who knows how many other victims that haven't come forward.
Of all the potential presidential candidates to use this against Gov. Huckabee, I'm putting my money on Palin to be the one to use it against him if they're running for 2012.”

But there was one time during the campaign that Hannity was interviewing her and she was going round and round -- and he couldn't get a word in -- and his own face looked a little dazed and confused and bored even. And I had to laugh -- because basically she was giving him a little of the same type of tripe that he usually dished out -- it just felt different for him since he had to actually LISTEN to the crap instead of spew it.”

“I watched an interview S'error did with Hannity after Obama won. Hannity said something to the effect that she should be happy about the increases in the price of gasoline because it would provide more money for Alaska and that would be good for the citizens there. She said, "Oh, no, that wouldn't be good because if the Alaska government took in more money, it would just spend it and that would not be good for the people." Hannity got a funny look, but didn't want to make her look bad, so he didn't ask her anything further about it. His questions normally are worded to feed her the answers. Her interviews with Couric are still some of the funniest things you can see on YouTube.”

Visit it first -- but there's a lot to like about that country -- and maybe it's time to give up thinking that Americans will ever pull their head out and get out from under the control of the hysteria-mongers. I saw a post by someone who's son is going to school in British Columbia and pays $54/month -- and is entitled to walk into any hospital with no paperwork and be taken care of. MY share of insurance costs me $237 every 2 weeks. That works out to about 2 days' work -- just for the insurance. On the other end of the spectrum -- the over 50 Republicans are completely spellbound. And then you add in 3 years of Fox promoting her.
The only hope we have that people will wake up is if they get to hear her speak ad nauseum because you can tell from the inflections in her voice when she's lying and it's hard to hide her ignorance on subjects -- most of what she says sounds like warmed up leftovers of last night's Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck shows.
Unfortunately, she's cut the media out of any of her public speeches -- and made it a condition of her appearances. So much for freedom of the press.”

Fox programming -- it's about the programming they do to their listeners -- not the presentation of news to the public. It is insidious though -- almost cult-like. Because their tagline and throughout their programs, they tell their listeners that only THEY have the truth and no one else can be trusted. Something that NBC, CBS, ABC never had to do. You believed them or you didn't.
My 82-year-old mom gets practically hysterical when I talk about anything that remotely disagrees with the Fox party line and everywhere people are getting more polarized because of them. It's unforgivable what they have done to the country in their efforts to keep the neocons in power.”

The one that knew how to manipulate and charm those people she wanted to impress -- and was a bully to those she considered beneath her.
I hope that people do read this book. There are going to be those who read it and still see her as their idol and buy into the victim thing.
What I want to see in Walter's interviews are some good questions about the Alaska Independence party and their role in getting Sarah installed as mayor and what they are all about. Their desire for secession isn't a political belief they held 40 years ago -- it's what they want today -- and Sarah and Todd have attended their conventions. She even taped a special message to them. So, maybe it's time the gloves came off and someone asked her some serious questions about that. But they won't come from Hannity, Beck, or Limbaugh. And unfortunately, I think Barbara's interviews have gotten way too softball in the last 10 years. She's more about letting celebs justify or explain away whatever issues they have, then really getting to the facts.”

The Dems have taken a lot of heat -- and it's always easier for people to bitch than to do something. How about doing something nice for a change -- and send a few bouquets of flowers to some of these leaders who did the right thing. They don't have time to read our emails or listen to our phone calls -- but they won't miss a few bouquets from some thankful constituents.
Is it perfect? Heck no, but this is a country of imperfect people and at least they're trying to do something right.
I've got to hand it to Nancy Pelosi for her guts and tenacity. She's been made into almost a female Hitler by Limbaugh and Hannity, but she hung in there.
Now to get it implemented, the devil can be in the details. But for today -- take the time to call or email and say THANK YOU. There are going to be a few nervous representatives and senators who are afraid the tea partiers are going to kill their chances for re-election over this and let's show our support.
I know that this idea will probably be scoffed at by a few "conservatives" -- but let's be honest. "Conservatives" are simply Republicans who refuse to take responsibility for what their party has done and when it comes to health care -- with the exception of the Medicare drug benefit -- it's been nothing.”

And then he would start talking to the people lined up after losing their jobs because their employer couldn't get the same loans for inventory that he couldn't before. And then talk to the car dealerships that would still be open if they didn't have their floorplan financing shut off by his crowd of financial deviants with no conscience.

“Who's going to regulate them? Obama 's transition team was run by the Clintons -- and he never tapped into any of the people that got him into office.
Unfortunately, he seems to have been trying to reassure the people in power that nothing's REALLY going to change and so he settled for the resumes of Geithner and Somers.
If I were in his shoes, I'd invite Volcker in for a long heart to heart about what it would take to unwind this. But when you drive yourself into the ditch, you sometimes have to put it in reverse and say, what were we doing when we were doing okay?
Here's some food for thought. I people charge $5000 and end up paying $3000 in interest over the life of that debt, that's $3000 of consumer goods, retirement income, college savings for their kids that will never happen.
Debt slows down growth -- and if the debt is due to exoribant interest rates and penalties and fees. Frankly, if I had my way, I'd tell everyone to get themselves into your local credit unions. My credit card rates are 1.88% and 9.9% respectively in the two credit unions I belong to. I have $22,000 credit limit -- which is much more than I need and I never get jabbed with late penalties or fees.”

“Who's going to regulate the government, and its unchallenged monpolies FNMA, FHLMC and the FED?
Of course the solution is to privatize them all, and have them regulated by the SEC with government oversight. But that would mean government getting out of the business of running things into the ground (post office, social security, AMTRAK, Medicare, Public Education).
THAT's not going to happen with Obama, the Demorats and the lefty czars.”

“If a bullet is fired that hits your house but has lost so much velocity that it BOUNCES off instead of penetrating VINYL -- then it's a case of someone who aimed a deer or something on the horizon and missed -- from quite a distance. That bullet will continue to travel and drop unless it hits something. The distance and the drop depends on the rifle.
One of the first rules of hunting my dad taught me -- never aim at the horizon, because it'll travel and you never know what's over there.
And as Sarah Palin would say "to those of you in the media....QUIT MAKIN' STUFF UP!" That includes you Lou.
I'm sure the local hunters and NRA wouldn't like if out of concern for Lou they posted the area against hunting.”

Ever notice how so many of their stories on their website are about sex crimes? The other night one of the bimbos on Hannity had a little black bra playing peekaboo through her blouse that had been unbuttoned about 4 buttons down her chest.”

“Good point. If Rupert and the powers that be can pay Rushbo $400 million for 10 years, I'm sure they could come up with $50 million for a 4 year contract for sweet Sarah....
Can you just imagine? And the chargrin all those good ol boys (Beck, O'Reilly, Hannity, and Miller) would feel if they had to give over hours on the airways for her? Shave off an hour of that toxic twit, Sean Hannity -- all he does is rant and rave in circles for 3 hours straight.
It might be the only thing to save us from her in the White House.”

“I think a BIG part of the numbers that Fox gets are based on the breakdown on satellite programming packages. Here's why....
The most basic programming always has Fox News and HLN in the cheap channels. BUT to get the better channels -- which include CNN and MSNBC, you have to pay more.
Therefore, Fox will always have a big lead in numbers. And perhaps with the recession, more people are cutting back on their cable packages ....
Just a thought. I like CNN, love Wolf, Caffety, Zakaria, Anderson Cooper, and Amanpour. They're better journalists. But a lot of people are still into campaign mode and love the snarkiness they're getting on other channels. I can't help it either -- I'm a big fan of Rachel Maddow -- and I give Keith Olbermann the credit for helping me to see the light after being brainwashed by Fox for so long.”
