right under the first page of a google search for "Marijuana convictions in the usa" wow so hard”
JohnMichaelMichael2525 on Apr 17, 2014 at 17:40:26
“that doesn't really prove anything....it does tell me how many people are in jail for violations related to marijuana....but my guess is that most of them were involved in selling or had prior arrests records or had tons of marijuana or had the attorney work a plea deal....
if they were in for basic possession, i am sure the folks at drugwarfacts.org would go out of their way to mention that....
check my links in response to your other post and you will see the light and admit that i am right...”
“Once again i suggested you read the same public records of laws and convictions via a search engine. But that obvious leap of logic was beyond you to establish. Because a basic search engine can and will if used properly guide the same parties searching the same things. In example: Marijuana Convictions by state. you see then we both would garnish the same exact results to peruse via the information super high way. Now if you had more then 3 fans and id imagine less then 500 posts you might know huff po is a bit iffy on letting links go through. So a suggestion of a credible search engine that would direct you to credible public records of state laws and convictions would be right at your own disposal.now if that is to beyond you to put in such the effort to even yourself counter point with an actual source using such devices..of say a suggested search or a link yourself. then it would by almost sheer default you refute any point you are trying to make with acts of dissent or debate, as all you are doing is going "nah uh" while the vast amount of public records are as easy for you to see as for me.”
JohnMichaelMichael2525 on Apr 17, 2014 at 17:29:43
maybe the puff host isn't as iffy as you say....and maybe you really don't have any facts to back up your claims....and i was told liberals were all about facts and science and whatever....hahahahahahahah”
“well then it really comes to the city or state police to actually i dont know ticket smokers they catch in public, which i have yet to happen to me in either Mass or Rhode Island. Most beat cops figure they have better things to do then to write citations to stoners outside of music venues. as well as it has been more or less the city and state law enforcement which feeds the Federal law enforcement on whom to bust in that general regard of where all those nefarious weed houses are or are not.”
“I said convictions, and how are public records a non credible source? you did not discredit my source to begin with. I said convictions in my search not arrests. how about you acknowledge my exact choice of words and not substitute your own.”
JohnMichaelMichael2525 on Apr 16, 2014 at 22:15:28
“dude...you didn't really even present a source...you told me to go google and find public records and bam....enlightenment...
why don't you provide a link to a credible source....”
“Lets see a basic google search involving, Marijuana convictions by state, Marijuana convictions in history, Federal marijuana convictions. if i am sure you use the same google as i do the same exact results will come forth. now if you have some means and ways to disprove public records i will be happy to see you dare try.”

“well...the problem is that you think an arrest means the person arrested is put in jail...that isn't the case...in fact, the term arrest applies to all sorts of things....
so why don't you try to produce a real and credible source....again...I bet you can't”
“why actually do your job, that involves actually armed and violent persons, when you can bag a gimmie stoner who will fold under pressure put up no fight and fills out those completed charges. Pot heads and Growers pretty much harmless, compared to meth addicts and producers....might mean actually doing their job.”
“save your seeds and grow your own. it is a lot easier to cultivate marijuana then the poppy plant.”
Broken Spell on Apr 15, 2014 at 02:36:43
“A lot of people who have never seen a living cannabis plant seem to believe that cultivation is far easier than it really is. The vegetative phase is about like growing dandelions and honeysuckle. Not hard; in fact the hard part is keeping everything from outgrowing whatever space you need, keeping a healthy canopy, keeping bugs out, that sort of thing. Easier than tomatoes. As easy as any houseplant.
Bloom phase is another story. It's on par with African Violets and Orchids, and if you haven't ever tried that, it's simple in some ways, and incredibly difficult in others. To cultivate a reliable supply of multiple strains of medical marijuana, ensuring medical grade product, guaranteeing things like no pesticides and no chemical additives, no insects, mold, fungus, physical contaminants, etc., is really a fine art. I'd go as far as to say it's a trade worthy of an advanced degree in horticulture and a field where you will still be learning decades into it, over hundreds of cycles.”

“If you can. I think that WA state made a mistake there.”
“That made me facepalm so hard i had to walk up and facepalm my roommate, a complete stranger, i also facepalmed a pizza delivery guy. i think i might have more of an actual problem facepalming then i ever could with marijuana.”
“Let the hand wringing and refer madness fear mongering, From those that have zero frame of reference on the substance commence. One of my Favs is that trope of "but but its still a crime...under federal law" yet they cannot even justify it as such, nor the draconian punishments for being caught having/selling/growing a plant.”

“No, the best was the rational from the head of the DEA last week . . . it should be kept illegal because someone's dog might get into it and OD . . . seriously!”
“It is hardly democracy when you only have two choices, it is hardly a true democracy since it has only been since 1920 women had the right to even vote. It is hardly a democracy when the ilk of McCarthy wielded so much power and influence, because you know that was an actual thing. There cannot ever be an equal if sections of the populous are denied basic tenants afforded to another section...hence the whole definition of equal. You are so content to reside as a second class citizen, that is your choice. I do not see where your freedom of speech is being impeded upon, whom is preventing anybody from saying anything? WBC is still using that right every day, and others are using their own Freedom of speech to respond...see how that works? You use your freedom of speech and i in turn use my own. it is how it works. But hey lets talk about this sacred democracy, where there is only a two party system, where yeah that is a great choice not like Australia...they have an actual democracy not some illusion where something like the green party the means and ways to establish yourself as an actual party in this nation is nigh impossible. So yeah a two party system entirely entrenched and made it impossible for third or fourth parties to be established. Also corporations are people, money equates speech, religious liberties but only MY RELIGION, and dissent and debate but only my perspective.”
“You know take on the places that really inacted the "offending" actions (seriously had to use quotation marks on that.) I mean he landed a bulls eye on Sodom. Let alone not getting into the actuality of the logic and concepts of a infallible omnipotent being...somehow being ignorant of what would be,and also making a mistake. which would prove to be neither omnipotent nor infallible. Yet zealots are not known to exercise logic and or critical thinking skills.”
“You know if all these acts of god are to punish us, you think he would have better aim.”

“seriously, you'd think Germany would have had tornadoes every day during the Holocaust”
evolvedtg on Apr 8, 2014 at 18:08:39
This article reminds me of Pat Robertson of the 700 club lunacy, telling the people of the mid west that they were to blame for the fatal spate of tornadoes that hit out there a few years ago, when he told them god punished them for not PRAYING. And that if they WERE praying, well, then, they just weren't praying HARD ENOUGH.
The religicons have a win/win argument built right in. Crazy.”

“Considering the number of storms and fires that seem to hit the areas which talk about how much God hates certain types of people, I'd say the aim has been dead on. ;)”

“And really if he wants to punish us for be tolerant of homosexuality, why would Oklahoma and Texas get all the Tornadoes.
I have never seen a Tornado in San Francisco!!”

“Or draw better distinctions. Sending hurricanes during hurricane season and tornados during tornado season kind of dilutes the message.”
“Same reason we still do not have signs that read "No service to ____" "All _____ Must sit at the back of the bus", You cannot give one sections rights and then deny another section those same exact rights. I do believe the 14th amendment covers that. As for as Democracy goes, i already admitted i am a Pragmatic Anarchist, I believe in the governance of self. You think loving ones country is inclusive to loving ones government? I bet it is easy to write a few checks and pull a lever, then go well i did my job i do not have to work at my area of existence i just voted for that guy to do it for me, Must be real easy to take no personal accountability because there is always the "other guy" to blame, who got the office who did not, what they did do, what they did not do. Must be real easy to hand your life over to somebody that does not register your existence except for a vote. Here is a novel little fact of my person. i spent eight years in DCYF custody, because of my parents actions (it was so bad they lost parental rights). Where they just warehouse the children, I was a ward under a Republican i was a ward under a Democrat, guess what zero difference when i was in federal custody. You know who is responsible for my actions and its consequences, me. everything comes to end.”

“Well, Tim, we finally agree. Yes, the government is totally corrupt and worthless, but we're stuck with it. And I guess my angle is simply that there are still things that I hold more dear than my gay rights and that is Freedom of Speach, Freedom of opinion, Freedom to defend myself both in my own home and on the street and a form of Democracy where both sides are equally matche. There is no Democracy when one party holds all the votes simply due to immigration and handouts.
I don't just write checks to absolve myself of any responsibility to my fellow man because I know that the money will just line some crooked politician's pockets. No, I directly help people in my own neighborhood so that I can determine who really IS needy and who isn't. And you want to know who I help ? I help the working poor of all races and political backgrounds, I help neighbors who are working two jobs and cannot make ends meet. But I DO NOT HELP LAZY BUMS WHO NEVER WORKED A DAY IN THEIR LIVES OTHER THAN TO PRODUCE LAZY DNA COPIES OF THEMSELVES. I don't need to because they are well taken care of and have free healthcare, free dental, free eyecare, free psychiatric care and all the things that I and my neighbors have to struggle to pay for.
And you want to know something funny? The back seats on the bus are actually the safest.”
“Yeah because the gas chambers are really getting set up aint they? There is a difference between whom you voted for (which is still private), compared to funds contributed. If you want that ultimate essence of privacy, keep your dollar in your pocket and keep pulling the lever. Voting records =/= Finance records, they are not one in the same. Also the you just invoked Godwin's law (look it up). Because it is the overall populous that has defined this "new morality", as it always has throughout history, albeit not always for the best of results. In comparison to a smaller regiment of politicians that engaged in whole sale slaughter of human life, is hardly comparable to individuals losing their jobs of business. There is nothing keeping them from posting signs to refuse service, and then suffer the consequences of the free market that we exist in. Yet when you set up on a public domain making means and ways from the public sector as a for profit enterprise, Then it may behoove them to consider if what they feel in the privacy of their minds and homes is truly a needed respect to make their ways in the public sector. You want privacy? stay out of the public, disconnect from the internet entirely, because guess what its all public now. anything said, posted on a forum or message board, facebook. even emails go through servers are saved and recorded. You want privacy, stop giving them the information.”
Robert K Pavlick on Apr 7, 2014 at 11:03:00
“Tim, you say: "... it is the overall populous that has defined this "new morality", as it always has throughout history...". But if that's the case, then why hasn't the Gay Community accepted the decision of THE PEOPLE OF CALIFORINIA who voted against gay marriage? Why do they want the Supreme Court of California to negate the voice of the People ????
You know Tim, if things were done correctly in this country and lobbying was totally removed from the equation, you and I would not even be having this friendly difference of opinions. It is precisely lobbying that allows both Republicans and Democrats, Liberals and Conservatives to BUY politicians and thus BUY legislation and that is NOT what democracy is all about.
Democracy can end up being a total failure for two good reasons: Number one, if the legislators can be "bought" and Two: Once one political party has more than 50% of the voting population as we see in Iraq, then it will autiomatically win every election and there is no point in even having elections or votes on issues.. Shi'a Muslims constitute 65-90 % of the population in most Muslim countries. Therefore, democracy is absolutely impossible in Islam and George Bush was a fool to think that he could bring democracy to Iraq. Once the voting population of USA reaches 55% Democrat, and it will, if we keep importing voters and "birthing voters", then Democracy in THIS country will be dead and gone.”
