“Come on. Aren't you being a bit disingenuous here? I know it's a tired phrase, but job creation is the lagging indicator in a recession, and we've had a doozy. When the President stepped into office over 10 months ago we were over a year into this thing. Was everything done right? No. They should have told the Republicans to shove it put through the stimulus package they wanted. I agree the deficit and debt reduction need to be worried about later, and middle class job creation is important, but a lot of the jobs still being lost are by major companies shedding jobs to pad the bottom line and keep investors happy. What do you do there? Pass a law banning staff reduction? You're being way too harsh and comparing the job loss under Obama to Katrina under Bush is rather petty. Job loss is slowing, did you mention that? Also what about that road block in the Senate called the Republicans, Joe Lieberman, and the Blue Dogs. Even if he tried the stimulus you call for, other that the tax moratorium, they would block it. Most economists job creation to start late first quarter early second quarter, but again you don't mention that. You want change let's campaign to put enough dems in the Senate to pass what we want.”
