“"People like you"? What is that supposed to mean? American car companies have not been producing products that consumers want to buy, period. If you can't keep up with demand your business fails regardless if it is large or small. I'm not an economist but to me it's common sense.
P.S. If we are supposed to be impressed that you drive a bmw or mercedes, we aren't.”

“Wow, another short bus all star. +1 infestation of the site I guess.
There are different types of people in this world, short bus. As it pertains to cars:
You have the crowd that wants it all but doesn't want to pay anything. These people usually compromised and went to the Japanese cars which cost a bit more but offered a bit more.
Then you have the people who wanted it all and didn't want to pay anything but wouldn't compromise on price. These people went to American cars which were just cheap. Then South Korea started making cars, and the American cars lost what market share they had left.
And then you have people like me who wanted it all and wouldn't compromise on having it all. We went to the expensive German cars.
It's simple really. German cars are the pinnacle, Japanese cars are the compromise, and American/Korean cars are the throwaways.”

“I assure you there are plenty of people out there who want help. I have met them. And we do have an obligation to help them. If you choose not to I suppose that is your choice but I think you'll find we all benefit when we help others who need it and are asking for it. I hope you will stay tuned for future posts as I really believe that together we can start overcoming a lot of these misconceptions together.

“Well, that's pretty cold. and you are wrong. Her complaint should be important to us all.
Her complaint is very important to this professional writer. In fact, I've just finished researching medical marijuana, recommended by medical experts and oncology physicians, and how its use is being trashed ***for political reasons***.
Is forcing those who live in excrutiating pain daily to do so because a politician wants to appear tough on crime "not very important?:"
And her post doesn't even bring up the issue of mandatory minimum sentences -- some as harsh as 15 years to life for possessing a minute amount of drugs -- or stuffing our prisons with first time, non-violent drug users for political and financial reasons. Why should we care? Because our tax dollars are used to support the policies that politicans push through legislation.
And We choose these politicians.
Obama and biden have promised more enlightened drug policies. is this another campaign promise that is smoke and mirrors? For Queenie's sake and others like her, I hope not.”
