“As I was watching Doris Day and James Garner in "The Thrill of it All" the other day, I couldn't stop drooling over her outfits. Jean Louis was the designer, well ahead of his time, and everything Day wore 50 years ago would look as beautiful today as they did then. Jean Louis, by the way, also designed Marilyn Monroe's now-famous "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" dress in which she serenaded President Kennedy. He was really a brilliant designer.”
“Kyle and Kim Richards....and while we're at it, older sis' Kathy Hilton as well, are nothing more than unsophisticated wanna-be's. To quote the Countess (Luann.....wrong franchise, but so what?), "Money can't buy you class".”

“"God Only Knows" is the best part of not only this film, but it's one of the VERY best closings of ANY film. Every single time I see the montage of people greeting their loved ones at the airport, with the Beach Boys' "God Only Knows" playing over all the reunion hugs, kisses and smiles, I cry. It's moving because it true, and it's on view at airports all over the world every minute of every day. Brilliant.”

“I fell in love with a transplanted Londoner 2007-2008. Lots of distance and tears and heartache involved. This movie was kind our thing, during.
Watching this movie again... would put me right back there.
But: since I can now get married in my home state, maybe it's time.
And YES. The "Arrivals" at any given big airport always tugs my heart strings.”

“Very much agree with you. The song is perfection at the end, and both the opening and ending of the movie which show unscripted real people unwittingly being recorded at Heathrow airport is not only brilliant--but the point of the movie afterall. All the other (acted) bits in the movie are entertaining, but the opening/ending with real people makes it for me.”

“Completely agree . Also the beginning monologue by Hugh Grant, " Love actually is all around us". Chills every time .”

“yes. .. was perfection from images, editing to music selection. ..”
“What a friggin' baby this guy is!
I confess to "pilfering" paragraphs from the World Book Encyclopedia for book reports when I was in fifth grade. To this day, I know I did something wrong, and have never done it since. But the fact that Paul doesn't even "get" that what he did was wrong......THAT'S the problem. Let him just dig himself deeper and deeper...GOOD!”
“Just like the Kim Bauer character (Jack's daughter in "24"), I agree the Dana-storyline is incredibly dull. Enough already! That being said, I found one of the most poignant scenes last night to be the one where Dana grabs her mother into the bathroom where she (Dana) attempted suicide, and very movingly explained that she no longer thinks of dying, but of living.”
“Jennifer Aniston, one of the worst (and LUCKIEST) "actresses" in Hollywood, has a lot of chutzpah to ask if Katie Couric is a journalist.
Couric and Matt Lauer were so amazing on September 11, 2001, that if the two of them did NOTHING else journalistically for the rest of their careers, that would have been enough for a lifetime.
Aniston should keep her mouth shut.”
“I LOVED Behar's show on HLN. Can't explain the formula, exactly, but it worked, especially when she had a panel of three each night covering the topics of the day. Hope they bring it back.”

“She is On Current TV now at 7pm..She has the Panel like she had on her show on hln”

“Her HLN show was great. Her humor is grounded in a breadth of knowledge. I DVR the view to see her on 'Hot Topics' segment & fast forward when she isn't on. Needless to say, my DVR won't be ...taking a little time to enjoy the view... after she leaves”

“Wow. That shows ratings were so low it will NEVER be back. At least on HLN.”
EisenBolan on Jul 31, 2013 at 09:21:21
“I know. Her show was really the heir to the Larry King show not Piers Morgan show. Favorite moment was when she interviewed Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed and Tweed walked out after an awful joke Simmons made about women he was with.”
“See, here's the way it USED to be....if someone was lucky enough to land an internship for a major TV network, or a national magazine, or, holy cow, a movie studio (!), they understood it was UNPAID. They accepted that in exchange for the PRIVILEGE of being able to cite all the "real-world" experience they gathered working in their field of choice, usually (though not always) following college graduation. It was INVALUABLE experience, and no one complained. It was also for a relatively short period of time in that person's life. If these young interns today insist on being paid, I say screw that....hire an adult with experience instead.”
legunthrilled on Jul 4, 2013 at 09:28:50
“Yup....well believe me the studios are going to axe the intern program.”
Cassyandra on Jul 3, 2013 at 19:26:56
“It has been illegal to use an unpaid intern in place of a paid employee for a very long time. The reality is that many of the places being sued are taking advantage of the unpaid internship in violation of the Fair Labor Standard Act.
If these interns are not being provided duties that contribute to an education ( like cleaning offices and making coffee), or they are being worked as a substitute for a paid employee that is illegal and they are due compensation.”
Margo Arrowsmith on Jul 3, 2013 at 19:24:41
“AND as you said, they are supposed to get experience and training. If they don't get that, they are being abused. Compensation is the training, not money. AND the law says that they can't do jobs that real workers usually do.
“I made a pilgrimage about one year ago to the Dominique Ansel bakery when I was in New York for the day. I had read about a pastry that's made there (and in the U.S., apparently ONLY there!) called Kouign Amann. It was okay. But the lesson I learned about food in New York City is that it is INCREDIBLY over-hyped, especially to anyone who is a good at-home baker or cook. The fact that so many Manhattanites eat out so often, or buy already prepared foods, may play a part in their oohing and ahhing, about things that elsewhere might simply be just "good".”
“Let's put it this way....if I had a property to sell in Beverly Hills, the LAST realtor I'd call to list it is Mauricio Umansky. THAT might be the lasting legacy of his wife's duplicity.”

“Kyle part of the Sob Sisters, is a really twisted individual, a bully and a mean girl probably dating back to high school. She seems to think she's in a constant Pantene commercial, and she looks ridiculous constantly tossing that hair.”
“Sandy, Sandy, Sandy.
Right now, in the Northeast, that's the thing that could change the results.
My question is...if there ARE power failures on Election Day that still haven't been fixed,
