Imagine Campbell Brown's CNN-as-she-describes-it in the middle of the Civil War, simply reporting each side's story, without any pro-slavery or anti-slavery bias. Ridiculous, isn't it? Same goes for WWII reported without anti-Nazi bias.
Journalism isn't simply equal-time reporting of each side's take on things, it's something deeper, more meaningful, and that's what missing from CNN nowadays.

I am pro Al Franken as Senator, and Alec Baldwin as passionate advocate for whatever he puts his considerable mind to. I am against the kind of personal attack on Cafferty's past that has nothing to do with the argument you are trying to have with me. Eliminate Baldwin's first and last paragraph and I am in complete agreement with him. But that last paragraph was a mistake, completely gratuitous. And in your extreme words, vile, demeaning and disgusting.”
