“actually i am not worried at all. i believe this obamacare is going to collapse on itself and in 2014 dems are going to run like rats fleeing a sinking ship from ever associating themselves with obamacare.”
“Here is a valid point : The LAW does not allow discrimination. Everyone has the opportunity to buy healthcare insurance for themselves and their families. Nobody can be denied on pre existing condition. Everybody pays according to income and everyone benefits. Insurance must spend 80% on actual healthcare. Insurance works on averages, they spread the risk. When everyone is on board, it levels out. Just like your auto insurance and home insurance.”
johnbravado on Dec 4, 2013 at 13:23:25
“right i get how wealth redistribution works. and i understand how insurance works. but what happens when not everyone jumps on board? what happens when those that do not need opt for the fine over the insurance bill. because, i know you do not grasp this fact, but for some $300/mo for insurance is the difference between eating and not. that is why obama increased the poverty level for the subsidy. obama knows he is going to make more poor people in the country and he knows he is going to have to raise the geenral poverty level so that people who could not afford insurance that are now being forced to buy it can apply and receive food stamps.”
“If you were the one needing care you would sing a different tune.
You can not discriminate.”
johnbravado on Dec 4, 2013 at 13:15:56
“you still have not made a valid point. yeah it is great you have a big heart. great you want people to get health care. whatever. at the end of the day someone has to pay for it. if these 29k people who are signing up are all sick people, who is going to pay for them? you still have not answered the basic economic question if the insurance company takes in $100/mo and expends $1000/mo how is it suppose to operate? no matter how much good you want to do if there is no money what do you do? who do you rob?”
“Whos goal is that ? Koch brothers? Walmart billionairs? Give me one good reason why would any family want to be poor living on foodstamps as opposed to having opportunities to advance in life, earn a good income with benefits ? If you pay people a living wage with opportunities they need no welfare.
Yes, we know the southern red states are the majority welfare recipients, yet they keep voting against themselves. Go figure. Its as if bagger republicans cant see their way out of being dependent. They are voting republican saying "keep gubmint out of my business" but they live on welfare. And people they vote for are planning to cut their welfare. Wifebeater attitudes going back for more.”
ohiomark on Dec 4, 2013 at 22:04:27
“Ask all the generations of welfare recipients in the blue cities.”
“you are free to buy any plan you like. You can go for the concierge service and house calls if you can afford it. They can sell you more but not less as the law allows.”

“It's kind of like "You can have any flavor of ice cream you want, as long as it is vanilla".
So I can buy a plan that excludes maternity, or contraception? Oh, wait, no I can't because it has to be something the administration will allow me to buy. That is freedom? I hope that IRS guy making decisions for the gov, at least has a degree in medicine.
Sure, I got choices, as long as you choose it for me. Maybe these guys that wrote this aberration would like to have the same coverage they want me to get. I don't think that will happen. So I gotta buy my coverage and someone else's.”
“Up to now some red states baggers decided not to have insurance, and expected taxpayers (or other insured people) to pick up the bill for their emergency care or catastrophic illness. Thanks but no thanks. Now everyone will be able to buy their own insurance, nobody can be denied, and insurance must cover them for at least the basic minimum.”
BillCPA on Nov 27, 2013 at 16:13:07
“C'mon, I'm waiting for an answer.”
BillCPA on Nov 27, 2013 at 15:55:12
“So, you have no answers and resort to name-calling. You make attacks with absolutely no facts with which to support them.
So, how many red state baggers decided not to have insurance? You made the claim - now back it up.”
“Nothing to do with "happy" because if you have no coverage when you really get sick, you got nothing. Now Insurance MUST cover you for at least the basic minimum. That's what they are not happy about. They would much rather not cover you and laugh all the way to the bank.”
“One of the best things to happen to the American people. EVERYONE will be able to buy healthcare, and have coverage when they need it most.”
buckeyegrayd on Nov 27, 2013 at 16:02:35
“"Buy" is a relative term.”

“Buying Health Insurance is not receiving Healthcare.
I can buy Insurance all day long but if a Doctor or Hospital doesn't accept it....I'm still frigged.”
darleneharoldcramer on Nov 27, 2013 at 14:35:13
“85% of Americans had Insurance were happy with it. For any-one to take that away from any person is wrong. You need to read btw the lines, and go very deep.”
Xaziol on Nov 27, 2013 at 14:16:05
“Yet it's already been stated that the young and middle-aged are not seeking the health care... Those premiums that everyone keeps boasting about will be through the roof unless everyone enrolls. You might think it's all "perfect", but essentially, the only way ACA works and balances out is when the whole nation complies with it (which won't happen).”
TheWashyWizard84 on Nov 27, 2013 at 13:59:18
“If it is so darn hot---why the screw ups and delays? And more importantly why not have the president and Pelosi on the plan?”
“No matter what small business does or does not do, PEOPLE CAN buy healthcare through the ACA Exchange. They will get better rates from the ACA Exchante than if they bought healthcare from Insurance companies directly.”
grmcp50 on Nov 27, 2013 at 17:02:08
“Better rates does not mean better coverage.”
nomoresoundbytes on Nov 27, 2013 at 15:01:37
“But they don't care about that. Just the website. And they will continue to call it "government run" and "socialism." They want people to keep the lousy plans they have that'll drop them in a minute and overcharge them.
They just aren't bright.”
lars1701D on Nov 27, 2013 at 14:06:57
“Not better rates unless you are getting a hand out”
tbinstl on Nov 27, 2013 at 14:06:09
“Wrong.... my firm works with clients who have individual healthplans that we shop all the major carriers for them. We have had 52 ask us to shop the new rates and not a single one has seen a lower rate. So, you can believe the propaganda or what is actually happening. I'm sure there are the handful of anecdotal people in each state that have seen lower rates, but for the overwhelming majority, it is not happening.”
“There is no train wreck on ACA. It is here to stay, and we will provide healthcare for All American people whether you like it or not. ACA IS WORKING, its the website that is being mended, like all other websites before it.”
GimmeShelter69 on Nov 27, 2013 at 14:12:37
“" and we will provide healthcare for All American people whether you like it or not"
...nothing in your statement about "affordability". Typical. In addition, you have no idea if this experiment will work or not. After all, it (ACA) is based on the private insurance companies actually providing the coverage. AND THEY ARE THE PROBLEM!. Is this news to you? Sooo, the ACA is flawed to begin with because the MAIN PROBLEM is still there. Let me spell it out for you vic: the private insurance racket will kill the ACA. Ya gotta get rid of them first.”
“President Obama told the truth when he said that. Subsequently your Insurance companies cancelled on you for their own reasons... most likely because they did not meet the minimum legal requirement. Blame your insurance.”
