“At least we now know what the next Fixed News/Glenn Beck conspiracy theory will be:

1. Obama is from Kenya.

2. Nigeria is close to Kenya.

3. Obama has "close ties" to Nigeria because Obama is from Kenya.

4. Obama used his close ties to Kenya to influence Nigeria to cultivate an international terrorist (remember: Bill Ayers is a domestic terrorist, not an international terrorist).

Anyway, beginning Monday, if Limbaugh/Beck/Hannity/Drudge have not cooked up a conspiracy theory that ties this Nigerian to Obama, I've give everybody reading this $20.”

“If this bill is going to harm liberalism, why are the Republicans staying in town until Christmas Eve night in order to fight it?

If this bill is going to harm liberalism, wouldn't the Republican be quietly stepping aside so it can pass?

This idiot is a typical Beltway village pundit: The fact Republicans have acted like petulant children during this whole thing means they are patriotic heroes.

But the fact the Democrats have been working on it day & night for months means it's going to destroy liberalism.”

If I Still Worked at Fox News...

“Keep in mind during the Connecticut primary, Obama ignored Ned Lamont yet rushed off to Connecticut to inform the citizens of Connecticut what a great patriot Joe Liebermann is, & if you know what's good for Connecticut, you'll vote Joe Liebermann back into the senate.

Gee, Obama, how is that bit of political tone deafness & conventional wisdom hackery working out these days?

But I get it. If you backed true liberal, Ned Lamont, the Beltway village would turn on you & begin to call you a snobby, sneaky exotic with a weird hertiage that is going to scare the bejesus out of "real Americans" if you decided to run for presient.

Oh wait: That happened anyway.”

Joe Lieberman Filibusters Health Care While Americans Suffer

Commented Nov 13, 2009 at 14:11:42 in Politics

“Great article, B.C.

What sickens me is all these comments that feel "Lieberman has a point."

Your article is not entirely correct when you state Lieberman plays both sides, yet has no friends anywhere.

Keep Going, Republicans! You're Doing Great!

Commented Oct 21, 2009 at 18:18:13 in Politics

“Great article.

Just don't forget to add how Republicans lie about literally everything.

"Death panels," FEMA concentration camps, Obama's Communist affiliation with ACORN, "show me your birth certificate," Obamacare, etc. etc. etc.

It's really simple: If the Republican party would begin to embrace honesty in lieu of their chronic addiction to lying, they would make a comeback as a party.

But, obviously, that isn't going to happen.”

IrishMale replied on Oct 21, 2009 at 19:18:50

“What's really funny is that there are LOTS of totally legitimate reasons to oppose a plethora of items on the Dem agenda. There's a totally reasonable argument to be made against socialized healthcare, there's totally reasonable arguments to be made about Al Queda, about bailouts, all sorts of things. It's like they're intentionally missing the boat and leaping to their doom as fast as they can. I for one would absolutely buy into the ideology that the GOP is SUPPOSED to represent, free markets, personal responsibility, etc. (except all the Jesus) But that's out the window, represented by no one today.

With any luck we'll see the GOP splinter and give birth to a Libertarian party to oppose the Dem idoelogy of tax and spend. Then we'll have the two-party system back that we believe in.”

Peleador replied on Oct 21, 2009 at 18:59:57

Or England rationing care to the elderly because it's too expensive and they're going to die anyway. But, nah, death panel talk is crazy talk. Let's call them "government committees to best direct health care to in the way it benefits society most". AKA Logan's Run.”

Could you imagine what would happen if Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow was caught on camera cheerleading an Obama rally?

I'll answer it: Keith & Rachel would be fired. Their status as serious journalists would be forever ruined.

Meanwhile, the Fixed News producer probably got a raise.

“I got a question for Bachmann:

Since, according to you & the man interviewing you, nobody watches MSNBC, they how can MSNBC "stalk" you? If 200 people watch MSNBC (which it what the right sincerely believes), then how is MSNBC powerful enough to stalk?

Almost every night O'Reilly reminds his audience nobody watches MSNBC, then, 3 seconds later, O'Reilly is going off on a rant about GE (who owns MSNBC).

Same with the wingnut trolls on this site: They all will tell you nobody watches MSNBC, yet, mysteriously, they know literally everything that is discussed on MSNBC.

Same with Bachmann: Bachmann will toss the right wing talking point "Nobody watches MSNBC" into your face without pause. Yet she'll then go on O'Reilly's show & claim she is being "stalked" by MSNBC.

So somebody please explain to me the right wing obssession with a network the right claims nobody watches.”

From where I'm sitting, MSNBC is the pro-American network. And that has nothing to do with left & right.

Lastly, note to Dennis Miller: Are you even aware of the company you are keeping? Isn't that a source of embarrassment to your friends & family (not to mention your former SNL associates)? Please, Cha-Cha, re-claim your dignity. Go get a real job. Or something.”

Mazzlefizz replied on Oct 08, 2009 at 12:05:17

“The media is definitely much further to the left than either Fox or the GOP, but I don't think that means that there is a left-bias. Just because the GOP has gone off the deep side on the right doesn't mean that the media should shift further right to be halfway in between the two parties. Or to say it in another way, an unbiased accounting of events is itself significantly to the left of Fox and the GOP. An organization with any semblance of journalistic integrity is going to seem left-biased to someone on the right fringes.

Of course, this argument relies on a subjective definition of what an unbiased accounting constitutes. Nonetheless, I think most would agree that the GOP has shifted significantly to the right in the last 10 years. That shift alone supports the notion that some portion of the bias is an inaccurate perception by those on the right.”

“Attention Everybody:

I watched this SNL skit Saturday night.

I realize this concept is too complicated for the establishment media to grasp, but the skit was meant to slam the teabaggers for claiming Obama is "destroying their country."

The premise of the skit is: "How can Obama be destroying your country when he hasn't done anything?"

Yet the idiots in the American media do not get the premise of the skit, hence take the listing of Obama's failures as what the skit is about.

The skit is aimed at the ignorance & hysteria of the teabaggers; not at Obama's failures.

Geez. I realize Americans are not too bright, but this takes the cake.”
