Joe Lieberman Filibusters Health Care While Americans Suffer

“Great article, B.C.
What sickens me is all these comments that feel "Lieberman has a point."
Your article is not entirely correct when you state Lieberman plays both sides, yet has no friends anywhere.
Lieberman has friends in this comment section.
I can not grasp how stupid one must be to fall for the Joe Liebermann con, but anecdotal evidence rests in this comment section.”

The Public Option in Congress Is Now a Sham. Who Cares If Lieberman Kills It?

“Yes, the current version of the public option is weak, but to cry "Who cares if Lieberman kills it!" is the sound you get when an entertainment attorney conducts his own public option purity test.
Considering how utterly corrupt & right wing our congress is, it's a miracle of God that any type of public option is in the bill.
This weak replica of a robust public option can be built upon & strengthened as the years go by.”

“Great article.
Just don't forget to add how Republicans lie about literally everything.
"Death panels," FEMA concentration camps, Obama's Communist affiliation with ACORN, "show me your birth certificate," Obamacare, etc. etc. etc.
It's really simple: If the Republican party would begin to embrace honesty in lieu of their chronic addiction to lying, they would make a comeback as a party.
But, obviously, that isn't going to happen.”

“What's really funny is that there are LOTS of totally legitimate reasons to oppose a plethora of items on the Dem agenda. There's a totally reasonable argument to be made against socialized healthcare, there's totally reasonable arguments to be made about Al Queda, about bailouts, all sorts of things. It's like they're intentionally missing the boat and leaping to their doom as fast as they can. I for one would absolutely buy into the ideology that the GOP is SUPPOSED to represent, free markets, personal responsibility, etc. (except all the Jesus) But that's out the window, represented by no one today.
With any luck we'll see the GOP splinter and give birth to a Libertarian party to oppose the Dem idoelogy of tax and spend. Then we'll have the two-party system back that we believe in.”

Or England rationing care to the elderly because it's too expensive and they're going to die anyway. But, nah, death panel talk is crazy talk. Let's call them "government committees to best direct health care to in the way it benefits society most". AKA Logan's Run.”

Glenn Beck stands up & declares a disruption of health care reform town hall meetings is where the Fox sheep should be pointed.

“The interesting thing about RL is that his audience is great for someone on the radio, but should he ever try to run for any public office -- especially a national one -- he'd be creamed. If 10 or 15 percent of the population listen to your radio show, you're rich! But if only 10 or 15 percent of the population support you enough to vote you into office, you lose! It's always easy to stand off to the side and throw bombs.”
