“They can recruit all they want from their solitary confinement areas then. Anybody inside a SuperMax facility is already a psycho, they could just as easily become victims. Either way, nobody is getting out of a SuperMax facility.

Yet we let the gangs have their own separate areas inside prisons and joining up with one is the main way to survive inside. I can drive around and see Bloods and Crips, yet terrorists are the big scary monster we're all supposed to be afraid of.

“Anybody who cries about the "security" of the surrounding community or state, has probably never been inside a federal prison, much less a SuperMax prison.
Being in Gitmo would be like being on vacation compared to being dumped into general population inside a US Federal Prison.”

“When the train is coming down the tube, (or another one passing on a close track) if there's a track split before the station, the oncoming train will create a suction effect you will feel on the platform. It can easily pull you off the platform if you aren't paying attention, it feels like a strong wind.
Truth is, train platforms are dangerous, especially when it's crowded, and one crazy person can easily kill a bunch of people. Always watch your back on the platforms. I use to ride the PATH and NY subway daily, and even rode between the trains for fun, but I was always aware on the decks. You see some crazy stuff when you take the trrain everyday.”

Basic common sense should say to you, "wait until the next train passes", so you have the maximum amount of time, but there's also a third rail that powers the train; God help you if you step on it while touching another of the rails. Ironically, it's the highest rail and the one most people would step on to get back up on the platform. You also have to factor in express trains if they run on that track.
Besides that, most platforms do have a cutout recessed areaunder the edge that you can lay under to avoid getting hit, but it's a tight squeeze. Don't ask how I know that though!”
