“I don't like his views on social policies, but I do have a lot of respect for the elder Bush. He's a smart guy and was a much more competent leader than his son. He understood the need for fiscal conservativism and undid much of the damage to the deficit that Reagan did. I'll give him credit for that.”

All that means is they are really good with the law and they know how to use words to open up gaps for them to drive trucks through when it comes to violating the Constitution. “Congress cannot make a law that voids any section of the Constitution. They can only amend, or expand on a meaning. To say "we change this part of the Constitution and now we can accept gifts" would be an unconstitutional law.”

“Remember, the constitution does not clearly say separation of church and state, or so I have heard so many tea party supporters state, therefore, the constitution implies that Christianity is the nation's official religion and Christmas carols should therefore be sung.
Logic does not work when religion is involved. That is why so many of these limited government tea party people love government intervention when involving "moral" issues such as abortion and gay marriage..
