“Outrage over paying income taxes on monies earned? How horrible.
Here's a tip for your news-hounds... Every pay check I get has money taken out by the gvrnmint... Howabout an exposé on THAT?”
Boris Grishenko on Aug 2, 2012 at 03:39:58
“Let's have an exposé on that. It's things like this that make me favor the FairTax. The great thing about a sales tax based tax system is that people see how much they're paying on a daily basis, and given how poorly the federal government spends our tax dollars, we should get indignant on a daily basis. We should be outraged.”

“Why do people think depression is isolated from real world factors?
Maybe the reason I don't go to the movies or go to the coffee shop is because I can no longer afford $11 cinema ticket or $5 cup of coffee.
No one ever addresses this.”

“Depression is not isolated from real world factors. There could be a number of real world factors in one's life to create enough stress to trigger an episode of depression, whether mild, moderate or severe. Depression can also come out of nowhere when your life is fabulous. I had an episode of depression when I had a cover story in a magazine that went out millions of people all across the country and I was getting offers for work every five minutes. One difference however, is this: You could have a million dollars and still be too depressed to go to movie or out for a cup of coffee. You could have a million dollars and be convinced, CONVINCED, that you were as poor as a church mouse. You are wearing dark glasses but no only do you not know it, should anyone tell you you are you want to rip their head off. Because obviously they don't know what their talking about.”
“Although I am a card-carrying member of the ACLU, I do support people wearing pyjamas in being put in Gitmo. Not because I am against freedom of expression or because of the hideous fashion aspect... I find that those who wear pyjamas in public are very quick to judge other people's appearance and be obnoxious about it at that. I figure it's just a fair exchange.
I mean I'm not a Communist, Trade Unionist, or Jewish, What are the odds that the government will come for me?”
“I read this in the paper and just ignored it.
This isn't helping.
The city of Reading needs JOBS!
In the past few years, Hershey's left, Glidden left and many other large companies.
We need jobs.
At the end of the day it's only $100. That's one trip to the grocery store.”

“Only a $100?? Yes, one trip to the grocery store they may never have had before this Secret Santa reached in his pocket to make someone's day a lot happier even if for only a day..”

“That's one trip to the grocery store they may not have been able to take. You sound bitter that you didn't receive anything.”

“You are some piece of work. Someone comes and has something to offer and you want more. You are that little kid on the street corner who can never have enough. You always wanted to have more and now you know where it got you. You are the one who has nothing.”

“How can you be so ungrateful? For some people its one more week of food. So you're saying if you dont have jobs to give out give nothing? thats ridiculous! How can you put down such a generous and selfless gesture? Obviously 100.00 isnt much to you but to someone else it can be the dfference between getting your child snow boots or having them go to school in wet shoes. Its a prescription you thought you couldnt get. Its some oil to heat your home. What a greedy person you are to not appreciate "one trip to the grocery store" Thats the difference between eating and going hungry to some people. Have some gratitude!”
“Charles L. Loder, 84, died instantly when a tree limb hit his mobile home at 11 Skyline Drive in Alsace Township. He was napping in his recliner when the tree hit, causing injuries to his head and chest, state police said. http://readingeagle.com/article.aspx?id=342452”
“Nothing beats having a huge wad of cash in your pocket and upon examination, it's only $8 in rumpled singles.
Give me coins any day.
The trouble is that you have to ask cashiers for $1 coins. They never give them to you.
So you have to do that Thief, sneak a look into the register drawer to see if there are any in there before asking for something they don't have.”
“If this high school is like my high school, going to the bathroom between classes was against the rules. So you could only go during classes.
So figure 3 breaks per 8 periods a day = maximum 24 days where you can go to the restroom per semester.
Of course the option of relieving yourself in the classroom remains available.”

“Haha it's only a matter of time before we see someone try that.”
“lol... it's the other way around. California generates federal money & the poor southern states take federal money.
btw... Silicon Valley wants all its computer ware back from the rest of the country.”

“reallly? and how much is the current deficit in the state and how much of that is going to medical, education, incarceration, and welfare for those not in the country the right way? do you even know?”
