“People that voted for him are reluctantly coming to the conclusion that Obama isn't changing anything.

The Democrats in congress have spent 12 months on only 1 item that Obama has promised. If the Democrats pass any healthcare bill, it will only benefit insurance companies and will mandate we all pay alot for insurance.”

wilsonveteran replied on Nov 09, 2009 at 09:51:19

“Obama and Pelosi also sold you out to the doctors to get the AMA endorsment on his ridiculous health bil

The American Medical Association (AMA) was facing a 21 percent cut in physicians' reimbursements under the current law. Obama promised to kill the cut if they backed his bill. The cuts are the fruit of a law requiring annual 5 percent to 6 percent reductions in doctor reimbursements for treating Medicare patients. Bravely, each year Congress has rolled the cuts over, suspending them but not repealing them. So each year, the accumulated cuts threaten doctors. By now, they have risen to 21 percent. With this blackmail leverage, Obama compelled the AMA to support his bill...or else!”

“It is disappointing that Obama either underestimated how corrupted the us congress is or he lied about making changes in dc. During the election was all about how we are all going to work together to make chnage. I would get emails from the Obama team every other day. Now that he is elected, haven't got one. The evidence is that Obama has become just another talker, not really looking to pass anything. If he wanted us all to work together to make change, you think he would be asking for help.

It might be that his administration is packed with Clinton people who only understand how Clinton tried to govern. But this is not the "we are going to work together to change dc" that Obama ran on.”

White House Draws Line In The Sand... But Not On Public Option

Commented Aug 19, 2009 at 19:20:18 in Politics

“There is nothing wrong with The White House trying to fix a broken healthcare system. It will have no affect though. The problem is a dysfunctional Congress. The US Congress is a failed institution that has caused all of the problems the executive branch tries to fix. Because the executive branch has to go through the congress, nothing ever gets better and The US moves steadily toward decline.”

FreeManNM replied on Aug 19, 2009 at 19:35:24

“You are SO right about our Congress. Part of the the solution: get rid of lobbyists and stop electing career politicians, be they Democrats or Republicans. Term limits are essential. SamKnause replied on Aug 18, 2009 at 09:27:11

“They are able to pass anything, they choose not to pass anything that benefits we the people. They seem to be against we the people and for we the rich only. Until corruption in all government is addressed it will remain a failed institution. It must be a prerequisite to be corrupt if you want to get into politics. It does seem to be at an all time high. It seems they would destroy the country to get their way and I don't understand this. A good house cleaning is long overdue for D.C.”
