“I don't know why the media never brings this up, but it is 2.6 billion over the entire project, which was about 8 years. When they first began brainstorming up until now, it costed 2.6 billion. Which is like a water drop in a bucket when regarding the national budget. And what saturnmobster said, so many spin off industries have been birthed by NASA. Very cool stuff too.”

“I am sure this number will increase for two reasons: we have more obese people that are younger in age and I believe most people look at the healthcare act as more of a right rather than looking at it as a privilege.
The fact of the matter is, we would need no healthcare act if everyone exercised regularly and ate correctly. That is the only way, even with all the pills and surgeries. It takes discipline and is very hard, but in the end it is worth it.
But it will be very interesting to see what happens, more reform is needed in the healthcare business (i.e. lowering costs). This act was a rough draft if anything like most first acts. Just like the sherman anti trust act.”
“POV my friend. The US was/is a patriarchal society and has in the past set the female agenda without asking the female population. The government is slowly accepting more POVs and the exchange of ideas is slowly raising because of this. Some men believe they are still superior to women, but some men, like myself, just don't see the female's point of views because we are just not women. If we communicated more with different point of views i believe this country can easily be ran more efficiently and less bureaucracy.”
“thats funny, i clearly remember the US geological survey going up there with 2d seismology technology and they said there wer 6 billion to 16 billion barrels of oil....

“I think what we are seeing is a timid generation that meticulously looks at marriage. This generation I am talking about grew up with divorced parents, and I believe they wonder if marriage actually works. So not only marriage rates down but the age that people are wedded now may have increased.”

“Marriage actually doesnt work...about 65% of the time...and, many of those that seemingly do work are "miserable".”

“I know- and have you been reading the comments? Scary anger out there.
A three point drop means that on average, 2011 students missed 1/3 of a question more (out of 67 questions in the critical reading section) than students last year.
Yes, it's a problem that scores overall continue to fall very slowly, but more kids and ESL students are taking the test. It's not totally out of reason to ask if the test is still as relevant as it could be either.”
