Obama To Denmark: Plans Emergency Trip To Copenhagen To Pitch Chicago Olympics

Obama To Denmark: Plans Emergency Trip To Copenhagen To Pitch Chicago Olympics

“What is it with this man who can not stay in the White House & do what he was elected to do, govern?
Why must he always be on the move, giving speeches, or touting his miserable health plan, or sticking his nose into other people's jurisdictions?
Is it his enormoous ego which must be fed? Is it his desire for the world to see what a wonderful, sweet, brilliant, caring man we elected as our President?
Is he simply a yenta, one who has one's nose in everyone's business, not his own?”

“I wish I had been wrong but, people, I warned you during the craze for Obama that was sweeping the campaign...he couldn't be trusted. His word meant nothing!. He pandered to the left, then to the right.
He was a true believer in, " tell them what they want to hear". Well, we get his usual rhetoric while he keeps many of Bush's "executive privileges" and Congress doesn't say "BOO".”

“He is a fraud.
I don't get duped often, but I did this time. I did not vote for him in the primaries but once it came down to him or the Hate Talk Express, I gave him my full out support which included donations (ugh) and working in his campaign office. We had a helluva choice, false hope or balls-to-the-walls aggression and stupidity.

It is obvious that Obama is an instrument of the monied powers, the oligarchy that rules the whole show. His eloquence and appeal make him a very powerful instrument as he is much better at duping the people than the smug, smirking dunce Bush Jr.

The fact that he continues this bogus war on terror which successfully robbed us of our freedoms, liberty, money and continues to take the lives of many is the ultimate injustice.”

“Yes, he win, but unfairly. The media failed to bring up many of Obama's missteps, his lies, his inability to apologize when he said or did insulting things, his plagiarism, his 23 years with Rev. Wright listening to Wright damn America. All these were excused with a few words of "explanation" by Obama while they blasted Obama's opponents.
I have been a voting Democrat for over 60 years but I found this man too obnoxious to vote for. I had thought of voting for him but after a few of his actions worried me, I did a lot of research on the web and I found a lot of info [ some of it on the website of the Trinity Church, now removed ], which the media did not do. A lot of the info was damning. The voters went for Obama's rhetoric which was not always in his own words and, as we now see, he does not always adhere to. There were a vast number of young voters who went for Obama's superstar image. He won, yes, but I believe the country lost.”

“This man is so consumed with himself that all of his actions are reflected upon his view of himself. A case in point is that recently he met with a group of Jewish leaders to discuss Jewish/Obama relations. This meeting was granted only after an article in the neoconservative webpaper Newsmax.com brought to attention his lack of such a meeting after many requests for one. All leaders, except for one, were invited to the meeting. This man was banned because he had complained to Newsmax of Obama's treatment of Israel. When told of Obama's reason for his ban, the man said that it is okay for Obama to meet with Iran's leader, Chavez, Castro, and others who have blasted the U.S. but he will not meet with an American who has spent his entire life working for the good of America. I can tell you why there is a difference and why Obasma will not include this man in the meeting. All the others that Obama is willing to meet with have complained about the U.S. The banned man accused Obama personally. Will all of Obama's determinations be made according to the impact on Obama's ego? He can not be trusted to act in the best interests of our nation if there has been a hit on Obama, the man, and not the country.”

“Commmenting on the stupidity of Crowley, Obama was, himself, speaking stupidly. That's what he gets for putting his 2 cents in where it doesn't belong. He is not satisfied with being President, he wants to be in control of EVERYTHING, like being the person to whom the census count must be reported or to have a personal charitable donation fund that he & Michelle can control to the tune of $50 million. Will we ever know to whom or what organization this money will be donated to?
We must not forget his 34 ,and counting czars, who skip being okayed by Congress and will report only to Obama, not to Congress as all other heads of the federal agencies must do.
This man must realize that, despite his grand opinion of himself, he is not the know all and be all of our nation or the world! Another mistake he made was to have made his long speech about his "using the wrong word" instead of issuing just a two word statement, " I'm sorry!" But then, Obama has never apologized for any of his actions [- remember his turning his back on Hillary at Bush's State of the Union speech? ] nor for any other words this grand orator has misspoken [ it was always the fault of his listener who had "misunderstood", "twisted" , or misinterpreted his words] . He did, however, know how to apologize to the world for all the errors that our country had made!”

Campaign rhetoric is just that, rhetoric & not words to believe in. There has been very little vetting of the candidates in this election by the media. It has been up to us to do the vetting for ourselves. The Internet is full of information, altho much of it has been deleted for one reason or the other. I have printouts of reports from older articles which I found while I was researching 1 of the candidates. I never researched the other, sorrowfully, but I would never vote for the one I did find info on. I will not vote for the other because I do not like his policies. I am left with no Presidential candidate to vote for. I will try to vote in a Congress which will vote for America, not for the Party!.

They must be people who will not rubberstamp poor proposals and not block good ones because their Party or the President desires them to.
Have you ever gone to the Internet to verify facts on your favored candidate or his opponent? Well, please make sure to do so for any Congressperson you would vote for. “Colin Powell made a big mistake 7 years ago by endorsing the Iraq war & talking a majority of Senators into backing it. He is making a similar mistake with his decision to back Obama. Since January, when actions of his upset me & I went to the Web to look into Obama's past, I have tried to tell the media & voters why Obama is not qualified to be President. They are too awestruck with Obama to listen. How many of you who are supporting Obama because of his eloquence in speaking have taken the next step, to check his words & then to check his past? It is the least one should do in so important an election. How many of you know of a BLOG, WRITTEN IN JANUARY, 2005 BY MARIA WARREN OF POLITICO? In this blog, Ms. Warren tells how she met Obama at a gathering where he was being introduced to the community & being launched politically. This took place in the home of Bill Ayers & his wife, Bernadette Dohern. Apparently ,she has recently been besieged by the media to expand on her old blog. She refuses to do this, saying that she does not want the G.O.P. to use the info against Obama. [ see Maria Warren+ Baiting Commies]. So, Obama's repeated denials of a relationship with Ayers other than at their mutual meetings is not a truthful statement. How many other of his denials are likewise untrue?”

lokywoky replied on Oct 26, 2008 at 00:17:39

“I'm sorry but you are misinformed about Obama's relationship with Ayres. That event at Ayres home was NOT for Obama - as is commonly claimed and obviously believed by you. It was for someone else. THAT PERSON was who the party was for. SHE was announcing her run for the US Senate.

THAT PERSON invited Obama to come, as he was her 'designated' replacement in the Illinois Senate. The event was NOT a fund-raiser or anything else for Obama. It was for SOMEONE ELSE!

Yeah, he was 'launched' if you want to put it that way but the event was for SOMEONE ELSE!

Why cannot you people actually listen to the truth?

And just because someone is at a political event, even if it is at someone's house - does NOT mean they have some huge relationship. More inferences.

YOU (and others like you) keep IMPLYING that Obama is lying. What is your evidence? His presence at this event? That is NOT evidence.

I have been at political meetings. At people's houses. Some of whom I had just met that day. Doesn't mean that I had some sort of devious relationship with them.

Stop buying into the smears!”

“Colin Powell lost all his moral authoriity prestige when he lied to the UN and the Congress on the need for war with Iraq. What he thinks is of no value or importance. Your comments on Obama are likewise of no value or importance. You begin by stating Powell was wrong and then attack Obama for who he knows, who supports him and his lack of experience. McCain's associates are also sleazy, his supporters nut cases and his views on Iraq more warish than Powell's. I do not support either of them, nor will I vote for either of them. “Obama has proven he is no outsider. He doesn't admit a mistake, like Bush. He will not issue an apology, like Bush. He misspeaks & constantly has to have his campaign "clarify" his words, like Bush. He claimed he took nothing from lobbyists &, therefore owed nobody. Uh, uh! He took from over 360 bundlers & lobbyists, combined. He has paid back 1 or 2 of them, so far. Let me amend that. WE have paid 1 or 2 of them. Can the country afford to pay them all back? [ McCain had over 400 bundlers/lobbyists.] So, Obama lied, like an insider. He has made promises but now calls them "plans" & we were told that "plans" do not have to honored so, like insider, he bluffs a lot. Where is the change he has promised? But that's been apparent to anyone with a TV set, subjected to wall-to-wall coverage of Rev. Wright. Obama has gotten no breaks from the media ever since he became the front runner for the nomination. The only reason he wasn't attacked before that is because Hillary was the front runner and she took the brunt of corporate media attacks. The media biase isn't against women OR blacks; it's against Democrats, apparently because they're the party less partial to thebusiness interests of the bosses who run the corporate media. McCain has a record of being a very good friend to the telecom industry.

“The point is that race should never be a reason for voting for someone, nor should sex. They ARE, yes, for far too many. However, I doubt you'll find many people who honestly believe a black person is owed or is going to prove better in a poilitical position because of race, while you'll find many who believe that no black should be put in such a position for any reason due to what they deem innate inferiority.

But the point is that anyone willing to do the minor amount of work involved in reading Obama's positions, studying his voting record, and collecting the expert analyses (of the experts in all available fields no less)would easily recognize (on top of McCain's betrayal of the troops, betrayal of his own ideals, sale to oil and big business and the hardcore right extremists, and opposition to every support for the middle class and poor while advancing the interests of the wealthy and big companies) that Obama works toward the good of the common citizen and the nation, the economy, the international political environs, and almost every other valid political measure in far more ways than are questionable.

Pretty much, there are rationales for supporting Obama, emotional reasons to support him or McCain, and nothing built upon logic that can so much as even suggest McCain has viable plans, relevant experience, good judgment, or anything else going for him except his willingness to sell out to the extremist branch of the right.”

There is his false claim of not taking from lobbyists so he has no debts to pay. How does he explain his 360+ bundlers who have given him millions, possibly billions, in funding? He paid back General Dynamics, a bundler, with an $8 million earmark, of which they received over $1 million last year. A $200,000+ donation from Scott Harris, a lawyer for telecoms, may have caused Obama to change his "no" vote to a "yes" vote on FISA. Do you want more? I have a file full.”

“Why don't you columnists consider the fact that it might not be McCain's light punches at Obama which have kept the Obama poll numbers below what any Democrat's should be at this point in the battle? Could the reason be that now the voters have had a chance to take a breath, check out some facts, take a look at words versus deeds, listen to Obama's lackluster responses in the debates & the forums, that, possibly, the voters can now be wondering what all the hoopla about Obama was about? Can they be thinking that they may have misjudged this man & he is not the answer to our nation's problems? Could the voters be coming to their senses? If so, can the DNC do the same?”

“Night after night I hear Pat Buchanan crying, "Why can't Obama close the deal?!"
How about, for all his years of experience, his POW record, etc, how come mccain can't get over 42-43%? While Obama is ahead by enough points that the election would be a landslide, mccain can't get move above what he has been throughout no matter what he throws at Obama. Guess mccain can't make enough "friends" to seal the deal.”
