It does not mean that when the "spotlight" falls on a particular minority group the previous group stops being discriminated against. ( Just because black people are discriminated against and that is what the media happens to be focused on at present does not mean that the Native American people aren't still being discriminated against at the same time).
The important thing to focus on, that the media needs to focus on, is that America is not past this race issue. People of color are discriminated against. The African American struggle is at the forefront of this issue because of how the African was brought to this country and the subsequent fall out that has resulted.”
