“We can make a difference all over the world...with one piece of technology...TRUTH...KINDNESS...WISDOM...LOVE...VIBRATIONAL ENERGETIC BALANCE----imagine every business, relationship, political, scientist, medical, educational, initiative actions, ARMY, NAVY, MARINES, universities----WOW! Accountability for what we create everywhere and getting to shift it with a swift application of a counter balance. Ah. Peace.”

“As a yoga practitioner for over 30 years, and professionally, an Educational Lifestyle Consultant, the question I ask my clients, my students and own children is "Who do YOU want to be?" This is a conscious lesson in self awareness. If we, for a moment, PAUSE, SOFTEN, LISTEN and RECEIVE whatever and wherever we are, then the blessings of the present moment reveal themselves or at least make space to hear what is not being said. We can create the life we desire, by choosing the worlds, thoughts and actions that reflect our values based life. Imagine, if we all took some space between our thoughts our reactivity-much like leaves falling form a tree focusing on the spaces between each falling leaf- then perhaps, that space, that liminal space can invite us al into a nother realm of possibility, previously unseen. What ana mazing word we can all create, together. Awaken to your optimal blueprint. "Life"-the good, the bad and the ugly- is inviting you in each and every moment. Ah. Now inhale-PAUSE-exhale-PAUSE-inhale-PAUSE--------”

Dear Class Of 2011: Good Luck... You're Really Going To Need It!

Commented May 18, 2011 at 17:15:02 in Home

“"Give a man a fish, he eats for a day" vs. "teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime" is what commencement speeches ought to imbue. Give one the basics for a template to build upon, the foundation of living.

Admiral Stavrides of the US NAVY said it best to the graduates of The University of Miami's Business School. He said, "Expect the Unexpected" and be prepared to "CHANGE COURSE" at any moment. Be open to receive that as a possiblity.

As a Lifestyle Educational Consultant steeped in the teachings of my chosen Anusara Yoga career, with a Master's in Special and Elementary Education, teaching our college students on how to find the highest and best versions of themself, to awaken to their optimal blueprint, to find their dream life and go for it is it! Do not settle. Think positive. Draw in all things that affirm life-people, places or things- We become the company we keep, so keep great company in this path of life's unfoldment.

Even with all the naysayers negative climate with all things economical. there were those who STARTED businesses. How much does it cost to remember that "Thoughts become things, so think the good ones." WE CREATE OUR OWN REALITY, beyond what appears as proof OUTSIDE of US. I say empower the people, our leaders of tomorrow. Check in with YOU and your heart's desire, and LIVE IT in every word, thought and action.”

Why Relationship Advice Fails (And What to Do When It Does)

Commented Apr 28, 2011 at 16:33:13 in Healthy Living

“This is the core, l'cour---or rather the "heart" of the matter. It is the Truth of us, individually, diving into our OWN heart first. Connecting to that Source of Truth enlightens us -up and out of traditional non-working modalities. Clearly the solution is never found at the level of the problem. It is that "Cosmic Mirror" that plays "hide and seek" and plays the Universal game of concealment and revelation within our ownSelves in the context of the many. Touche and re-posting is my next step to CHANGE the WORLD, one relationship at a time.”

UPDATE: The REAL Energy Crisis: The One Inside Of YOU! Apply For HuffPost Living's Year-Long 'Energy Makeover' In NYC*!

Commented Jan 7, 2010 at 18:28:47 in Healthy Living

“I LOVE THIS!!!!! "THIS" is the REAL ISSUE behind all other issues out there in the UNIVERSE!!!! THE-SINGLE-MOST RELEVANT VIEW that embraces the mechanism behind OUR NATIONAL disease process and affirms "WHOLENESS" at it's CORE. YES!

How silly of us, running to Starbucks, before work or in-BE-tween (can we even "BE" there) for that seductive, magical cup of Joe platonically appearing as the "place to be" and superficially implying that we are starting the day "right"...need my cafe au lait!!!! PLEASE!!!! Then we go off to work, parent, exercise, play, relate, manage, create ... ONLY to deplete ourselves ever more without that jolt of BUZZ, and then wonder, just wonder, "Why is society as it is?" "Why is my child so nervous? " Can't relax, Can't take it down... A conundrum.

Oh, and of course, what an oversight....We are NOT a XANAX deprived CULTURE, or a LEXAPRO deprived culture, rather we are a culture who has invested OUTSIDE of our own selves. We have deprived ourselves of all the gifts that are free, the ones that we can create and choose to weave in or out of our living lives!!!! This is a life where we CO-CREATE and CO-PARTICIPATE in all that is good. CHOOSE to align and you are "IN LIKE FLINT!!!" Promise.

OMMMMM!!!! SHANTI !!!!! OM!!!! Namaste! (Now take one full breath before you click off...

How We Unplug & Recharge

How We Unplug & Recharge

Commented Oct 6, 2009 at 17:51:27 in Healthy Living

“I am LOVING, as in LOVE-ing, the RETURN to NATURE...to TRUTH...as nature stands through time and space..it is what calls us back, inspired by our cellular memory...of course "unplugging" is natural, yet hard to do......"plugging"is easy and not hard---cause it is a new social peer pressure thing....'everyone is doing it so it must be okay..." when the "plugging" overides the "unplugging" then, hey, we have made the excess the new norm...kind of how materialism gave rise to the "greening revolution" or so much junk food has made "natural" food more desirable, once again. Why is it we move so far "off center" to come back and re-appreciate it's reason for being in the FIRST place? Maybe the "peek-a-boo"principle keeps us engaged as we were when we were 6 months old..."now you see it"---"now you don't"!!! So, all this talk brings us back to a very basic tenet, and I think that is what "counting your blessings and gratitude were meant for. Touche... for remembering what we didn't...but now we can see the blessings in the inivtation. Again...you are a WISE WOMAN, any mother would be proud of!!!”

hp blogger Alison Rose Levy on Oct 7, 2009 at 11:44:25

“Nature does it for me too. My family and I live in a rural area in an untouched old,old house. I walk in the woods, shop at a farmer's market, and live with the cycles of nature. I talk to farmers, eat healthy food, and drink well water. It's the best-- thank god for virtual work.

I've been a lifelong student of the I Ching and a central image of that wise book is the Well as the center of human activity. I like to imagine myself at the bottom of a deep well, sitting calmly in the coolness. All the ferment and activity is going on way above me. Whenever I'm ready, I can rise up to greet it, but otherwise I can stay way at the bottom for as long as I want.”

The Sad, Shocking Truth About How Women Are Feeling

Commented Sep 17, 2009 at 14:21:40 in Healthy Living

“Perhaps, us women as a group, thought that as we became all that was supposedly "equal" in our supposed "society" and achieved all the goals set forth for and by men- and all the information in all the women studies courses,(not "men studies") we would then be a happier sort. But what denotes "happiness'? Are we a subculture whose time has come in the re-creation of our "role" , or has it created stress as there has been no role model or mentor before, so charting any waters would be NEW waters, new frontiers, new dimensions with the pros and cons of the elements given(so Spiritual Warrior/Explorer like!) This is just a matter of course as we unfold and carve out and into the global community of the heart. We are Be-Coming---and one day, maybe we would all just "BE" and that would be just fine.”
