"God Hates Fags?" Not According to Jesus and his Lawyers

Commented Nov 7, 2007 at 09:38:56 in Politics

“I think of myself as a free spirit and my spiritual path is one of God is love. I have a mantra that serves me well: Breathe in love-Exhale love: love expands-So, it blows my mind that so much hate exists with these so called christians. I am of the belief that we would be better off without organized religion because I see mostly hypocrisy and teachings that are not true. If we could just believe and follow those words said to be of Jesus,we must love one another and we must forgive...that would go a long way toward carrying us through a peaceful existence.”

Values Not Discussed at the Values Voters Summit

Commented Oct 24, 2007 at 11:06:52 in Politics

“Jim, Your blog has elegantly stated my thoughts. I have copied it to pass out to my children and the four grandchildren in college.
I was born in 1936 and had always believed Christians and our governmnet did the right thing. How nieve!! Now, I am as worried about the Christian right as I am about our corrupt government. If their so called values take over this country we are doomed. They have left out what Jesus said, "We must love one another", not just those whose beliefs we agree with. These pompous christians and their agenda also have left out two more important values of compassion and understanding. There is no purity of heart in these people.”

S-CHIP is a Defining Issue That Neither Side Can Afford to Lose

Commented Sep 26, 2007 at 09:54:59 in Politics

“I always check on the yes and no votes for these important bills going thru the Congress and then send my elected official my official comment. Then I work to sway any one who will listen at election time to vote yes or no for anyone up for re-election.
Let us keep this vote at athe forefront of the media coverage and express our outrage over "it's too expensive", while spending billions on the Iraq war.
I also have no sympathy for private insurers who could lose out if the bill passes into law. In fact, I would love to see a government health coverage just so the insurance companies can be screwed out of money.”

Courage for Dan Rather

Commented Sep 21, 2007 at 09:42:56 in Media

“Mary, I watched LKL last night and now understand Dan's reasoning for filing this law suit. I originally thought it was about money and now understand it's about a battle for all journalists and the media to report the truth. I can hardly wait for the sleazy details to be made public.
By the way, I no longer watch CBS news following Dan's exit.”

Jose11435 on Sep 21, 2007 at 13:29:12

“The battle for all journalists to report the truth by using fake documents? Is that what he is fighting for? I'm still in awe at how thick many of you are regarding this subject. Dan Rather went on the air taunting FAKE DOCUMENTS as proved that what he was reporting was true. They could not then, or do so now, prove that the documents were legit. That's the problem. Is that the kind of journalism he is fighting for? We don't have to prove that the documents are false, it was his burden to prove they were real if he wanted to use them in the report as the "smoking gun" He can't and if that was the case then, the story should have been shot down. He is mad because no one above him lost his job and no one is watching him on HDTVnet or whatever it is.”

Remove Blog Content

Commented Sep 18, 2007 at 11:35:52 in Home

“Stacey and Arianna, What a wonderful surprise to read this blog on a political web site. To evolve to compassion and understanding (love) is the path of our soul. We are all connected and that is one thing our politicians need to understand. The other thing they need to understand is the great Universe never forgets and the negative energy of their corruption and lack of integrity will return to them.
When I am bogged down with the sadness of the collective consciousness, I spend time with a flower or a tree, or in silence and the connection with the loving Universe is re-established.
Also, Meister Eckert is on of my favorite mystics.”

Excuse Me, General. We Missed A Question

Commented Sep 15, 2007 at 10:00:28 in Politics

“Now, if you can somehow plant your thoughts in the minds of Americans, all Americans. Anderson Cooper/360 had a piece on the military hospital in Ballad Iraq which included injured children. One on these children was hit by an American bullet. These children will never be able to survive and get, what Bush calls 'back to normal". I wonder how he sleeps at night.”

“How does he sleep at night? Hanging upside down from the ceiling, no doubt.”

George W. Bush is One Tough Hombre

Commented Jul 3, 2007 at 09:31:53 in Politics

“Paul, I grew up trusting our government to do the right thing for us, the American people. At the age of 70, I certainly have changed my mind. The corruption in this administration and their ability to put themselves above the law will hopefully lead to voters removing all those, even tainted with the power grab and corruption, from office.
I have four grandchildren in college at this time and I never fail to remind them as often as possible to know what your government is doing and do all that you can do to change things that are not right. We trusted governmnet and didn't think that we needed to know the details. How nieve I was!!!!! The Bush administration is not for the people but for " what's in it for them".”

Matthews and Coulter: No Shame

Commented Jun 28, 2007 at 10:12:31 in Media

“I am outraged that any News station would give Ann Coulter the stage to spew her venom over the air waves. I boycott the advertisers as well as the the station. Words plant seeds in young and old and I don't like the seeds she is planting.”

Lost in Paris

Commented Jun 13, 2007 at 08:32:19 in Media

“OMG Mary, what have we become? I nearly cried when I read your piece, if only to realize, that as a society, the real and important issues are left to be buried in an old warriors cemetery with so little notice from our news sources. We are what we think about and if Paris Hilton is what the masses think about we are doomed.”
