“oh dear that is what is wrong with the entitlement generation. go to any doctor at any time for any reason and not pay a dime. if you want universal care it will be : you can go to this doctor not that in six to eight months for only the approved reasons. if you have kidney failuare you will be like those in the UK and denied treatment after the age of 65. if you have cancer you can expect to live with it for years less than under private coverage care and if you want to have a torn anything repaired --suck it up and wait for that for a few years.”
kristyleigh107 on Mar 15, 2012 at 14:24:24
“What's different now? I still have to wait for approval for forever until they decide they want to pay or not to pay and you get the insurance company that wants this or that from the doctor/hospital and they won't pay until they get it and then you got the doctor/hospital who says they've sent 5 times and the insurance company still doesn't have it. My rates keep going up, I go to the doctor and I'm just thrown a prescription and a request to pay and no real resolution. I'm not entitled to anything...I pay for my health insurance that sucks and I pay for all the people that don't have insurance also. If the master of the USA wants everyone to be covered then he needs to find a better way is all I'm saying.
“omg, this is junk science if ever. conservs are brave per other research and liberals cowards, so when there is a threat the libs run to the closet and hide while the conservs pick up a fire extinguisher.”
“the absolute best thing I have read on this hits on the gender perspective of this story.
Henry Louis Gates Jr. cries racism; Amanda just cried
"Hearing the president declaim that Skip’s incident shows that “race remains a factor in this society,” is just plain wrong. If race was a factor, then it worked to his advantage as far as I can tell.
When Skip refused to show ID, the police did not immediately cuff him and search his house. When I refused to show ID I was immediately cuffed and my purse and wallet searched. NO ONE took the time to sweet talk me into showing my ID. My shoulder still hurts when I raise it too high."~ FemiSex.com
I hope women especially will take the time to read this. It actually made me cry.”
“feminist work is on a sliding scale. not too hard figure that out.
when Iran moves forward they will have to debate why women call women who want power either of the b words. they will lament why Obama told the world they opted to cover their heads.
Iran is in the 1st wave of feminist work; the U.S. has entered the 4th wave.
in the U.S. the obsolete 3rd wave (lipstick feminists who have stopped workiing for female advancement) are like Amadinehad--hoping to stay in power so they can keep progress from occuring.
4th wave has zero tolerance to sexism and one main goal: 51% power slots for women.
this is not rocket science.”
llstudent on Jun 25, 2009 at 17:46:22
“Right on! It is nice to know that there are still feminists out there because the way the media talks there are none.”
“yeah and racism is a crack up to, let's see if we can get Letterman to make some watermelon jokes just for YOU TimLB!”
Gidster on Jun 11, 2009 at 15:16:08
“Letterman wont, but Cris Rock will and has!
Context is the key! When a white state Repub sent out cards with caricatures of the Obama's in the White House with watermelons growing in the Rose Garden, it is a racist statement; when Chris Rock suggests that the White House chef better learn how to fry chicken, it is funny because of the context.”
“Ok then this STONG AGE tude is right for those who think it is OK to rape a woman b/c she wears shorts.
GO back to the bigoted life you live! If i wink, and i Do, does that make me ripe for sexual derision? NO. Perhaps you might like to crawl under the rock of bigotry and HIDE your breasts but I want to wear a swimsuit w/o being slandered for doing so!”
Gidster on Jun 11, 2009 at 15:05:11
“No, but if you run for VP, and do not have the education, or knowledge of current events that a school child does, that opens you up to being ridiculed as a know nothing!
The two are markedly different!
Be a woman! Revel in being a woman! I will do everything in my power to help you with that. But I will not ignore your hypocrisy or lack of knowledge because you are a woman.”
mama1974 on Jun 11, 2009 at 13:29:39
“Again, some one who fails to acknowledge that rape is not about sexual gratification but rather power over a victim. Ms. Prejean stood in her evening gown (after she pranced around in a bikini and heels) and "spoke her mind" about an issue that has not touched her personally and I'm suppose to respect that? How does that make me a bigot? Do you throw that work at people like a rock whenever you have nothing else in your bag of trick to offend someone? Go back to the third grade, annaban, and learn how to use a dictionary.”
“Dowd hates all women. see Hillary and Palin and Gillibrand and well, where does the list stop. This women is about as anti-feminist as it comes. She is so 90s, so worn out., so anti-progressive for women.”
This is victory for all women. Note to Dave: misogyny is just not funny, neither is racism”
Joe Moore on Jun 10, 2009 at 23:27:55
“If you can't make fun of yourself, you're always going to be unhappy.
Lighten up. Lots of people get made fun of on TV shows, movies, etc.”
newleaf on Jun 10, 2009 at 23:02:01
“Hillary has taken more than her share of crap for way many more years than Palin; let Palin have a her share of the public spotlight, if she wants to be a big girl on stage. Letterman refers to himself as old, ugly, etc all the time. Extremely biting sarcasm is "in" these days.”
kevenseven on Jun 10, 2009 at 22:29:49
“Sorry, but I understood that misogyny was a hatred and contempt of all women.
Seems to me that Letterman was expressing a contempt of an individual woman. Is that forbidden?”
what hogwash, by your accounting it should have been up to the states to decide when and IF they wanted to abolish slavery. female freedom is a human right, not to be decided by any other than the very rights of privacy found in our Constitution.”
"Beginning in 2009, states will have to pay for Jane Doe rape kits to continue receiving funding under the federal Violence Against Women Act, which provides tax dollars for women's shelters and law enforcement training.
The FBI has recommended such an option since at least 1999!"
www.femisex.com reported on this new federal rule last Feb.
and as they predict, it got zero national media attention!”
“to LemonMeringue-- massive logic issues here. 1st --males are not at the bottom of the food chain. and 2nd, by ur reasoning it is not racism to use the n-word if white trash exists as well? come on! not admitting sexism for what it is is akin to saying the world has corners!
to Deeppeace and the silly silly--it's not sexism it's her!
“sorry but I was thrilled to find the site.
i know others may not feel this way, but i have never felt more abandoned by the society i live in than this year. I loved the Times and Salon and the like, and then when they boomed out so much sexist crapple, i felt massively betrayed.
on the DailyBeast today!!!!!!!!!!!
is a poll that shows i am Hardly alone!
women are seething about this media sexism stuff. (for ur sake i won't link to it but i bet many women would like a link!)
So yeah, i'm gonna shout to the rooftops about a site that has female editors and journos speaking out against the sexism in their own halls!
what is wrong with links to other sites? i like the option!”
“"Oh it BE! "
here is a great article that shows how devoted the msm is to ignoring sexism by Matthews and Olberman!
"On September 8th of this year, the New York Times ran this story on the front page of their business section: “MSNBC Takes Incendiary Hosts From Anchor Seat.”.
Femisex was thrilled to see this headline and learn of the Olbermann and Matthews demotions; we have cheered about it on our site and in our columns. But… that Times article still sits on my desk, deeply troubling to me.
Why? Well…. When I initially read the piece I was overwhelmed with disbelief. Could it be? Was it possible? Could it be that this feature-length piece on the booting of this Dufas Sexist Duo did not ONCE mention the word SEXISM? How could that be? "

“are you going to keep spamming and linking to that site over and over and over agian?”
“Sexism in the media is a Massive problem and Matthews is part and parcel.
I discovered a new website run by female journalists dedicated to ending sexism in their ranks! take a look if u are one of the millions of women disaffected by sexist media!
here's their mission statement from a Coffe Shop blog:
by M. A. Liginter
A not-so-funny thing happened on the way to the general election of 2008. Millions of Americans discovered the Liberal Press despises women. Not all women. Liberal Press does adore certain women--wives, mothers, workaday gals, these are all accepted models. However, the love STOPS DEAD for Alpha Women.
For a woman with the temerity (The Audacity!) to make a run for the Top Dog spot, the Liberal Press stripped down, all the way down, showing Americans the Misogyny and Sexism they, until now, kept tucked up around their private parts.
The founders of this page are mainstream media journalists appalled by this shameful display. When Pat Buchanan is the most reasonable voice of comment on the topic of a female run for the presidency….well, the time has come for a Very Large Correction.
No longer should one think in terms of Conservative vs. Liberal Media. In regard to sexism and misogyny they are exposed as one and the same. To end sexist press we must focus on Derailment.”
LemonMeringue on Nov 18, 2008 at 13:09:49
“It is not necessarily sexism to use a pejorative term that is gender-specific. It's done all the time with males.”
deeppeace on Nov 18, 2008 at 12:46:12
“It's not sexism, for the gabillionth time. It's not about her gender. It's about HER.”
