“Funding the wars puts money in Republican pockets for the next elections. It destroys any hope of a solid Democratic majority and assures that nothing changes for the better and Sarah Palin becomes the next President. Pelosi needs to defund the war if she wants to remain in her Speaker's position. I don't know if she actually looks very deeply into things. This question will be answered when the campaign heats up. Since Obama is not getting much done except for Michelle's White House Garden, there will be nothing for Democrats to run on.”

As a practicing Christian I have the most profound reverence for my spiritual forbears. I do, however, have a differing opinion of how their STATE conducts it's affairs, especially in respect to it's neighboring countries (Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, etc).
Perhaps America could seek to live up to it's alleged "Christian" birthright by conducting it's affairs with greater respect for differences and not seek to be the world's policeman, stop it's imperialistic practices and learn to live without dependence on military force of arms.
