“Jefferson Smith: [His voice very hoarse] Just get up off the ground, that's all I ask. Get up there with that lady that's up on top of this Capitol dome, that lady that stands for liberty. Take a look at this country through her eyes if you really want to see something. And you won't just see scenery; you'll see the whole parade of what Man's carved out for himself, after centuries of fighting. Fighting for something better than just jungle law, fighting so's he can stand on his own two feet, free and decent, like he was created, no matter what his race, color, or creed. That's what you'd see. There's no place out there for graft, or greed, or lies, or compromise with human liberties. And, uh, if that's what the grownups have done with this world that was given to them, then we'd better get those boys' camps started fast and see what the kids can do. And it's not too late, because this country is bigger than the Taylors, or you, or me, or anything else. Great principles don't get lost once they come to light. They're right here; you just have to see them again!”

The Kennedy Assassination: New Details About the Transfer of Power
Commented Nov 03, 2009 at 04:50:23 in Books
“It annoys me when they try to get us to think it was the cubans or the mob. To me, the proof that there was a massive conspiracy is the massive cover up. my suspects include nixon and Johnson, but they’re ‘bit players’. my belief is America changed at that moment. something sinister slithered into our system and possessed us, and still consumes us from the inside out. Thank you for your post. Who do you think was behind it?”
HmblDog replied on Nov 03, 2009 at 16:21:23
“It has been helpful for me to recognize that the coverup was done for reasons that had nothing to do with the assassination. The planners and executioners of the assassination knew before hand that a) they were forcing us into a war with Cuba or b) that their involvement would be covered up to prevent the exposure of the US governments plans to support the imminant overthrow of Castro.

“I believe it was perpetrated by the CIA over the firing of Alan Dulles and Kennedys attemt to marginalize the CIA's power. It probably wasn't too difficult to obtain the assistance of the military industrial complex, anti Castro Cubans and even the mob in a limited capacity.I believe the Conspirators included Richard Nixon,John Connelly and even George H W Bush.Bush claims he was never in the CIA untill they made him director in 1974.Thats been pretty much proven to be a lie and doesn't make sense anyway.E Howard Hunt was one of the main operatives who put the plan into operation. Johnson was probably not involved but they could be sure he wouldnt ruffle any feathers after seeing what happened to kennedy. An d if any President tries to mess with the power structure the way Kennedy did will be dealt with the same way and they all know it.Novembe r 22 1963 was indeed a coup and the perpetrators are still part of the power structure dominating the world.”

Then there are the Oil Depletion Allowance people who wanna keep their bucks. Then there are the segregationists. But the shift away from the friendly relationship Joseph Kennedy had crafted with the "family" during prohibition was the key, combined with the loss of gambling, drug and prostitution money in Cuba. The anti-Castro Cubans (wealthy ones who had to flee) were livid with JFK after the Bay of Pigs. (Read Fletcher Prouty's articles in "Gallery Magazine" about Bay of Pigs and the U2 insident)

“To those who hide behind the vacuous "I'm not a believer in the conspiracy theory of history" evasion, ask if they "are a believer in the no conspiracy theory of history/'. That position is indefensible and once established leads to the conclusion that neither theory warrants a subscription. Some are by 'lone assassins' unconnected to or controlled by those who succeed to power as a result of the assassination, and others are the work of conspirators.
The investigation should not be under the direction of those who succeeded to power, as was the Warren Commission. Each President should appoint the members of a commission to conduct the investigation in the event they are murdered.
It is always suspicious when early on the conclusion is made that "it is not a conspiracy". Especially, as with Oswald, when the assassin is murdered the next day. The conclusion so early on is an indication that those conducting the investigation have an agenda other than 'wherever the truth may lead'.”

“It's not about the current tax rate. It is about what it WILL be. Right now, every man woman and child in the U.S. owes $81,000 toward our debt. The national debt will only grow without something being done. When SS and Medicaid go broke we will have a choice of ending those programs or paying interest only on our debt. That is not a good situation. To make matters worse, taxing the job and wealth creators more and more will result in a diminished GDP. It spirals downward very fast. Is that not something we should all be behind?”

The press reminds me of someone stands around and does nothing at the beach while a fearsome bully kicks sand in some scrawny guy’s face. and then, after the bully wanders off, to try to salvage their dignity, they too go and kick sand in the scrawny guy's face. where was the press when bush destroyed america? where is the press now with america still in ruins and the culprits walking around free, cockadoodledoing away?”
