“You do realize that there was slavery in the north at the same time there was slavery in the South and that actually slavery in the north lasted longer than the South because the Emancipation Proclamation did not include those slaves that were owned by slave owners in the north. So according to your logic those in the north have less compassion for human life. I am a Southern woman I do not believe in abortion and . I also do not believe in the death penalty. Your ignorance is showing.”

“Not apples to oranges again. Read theBattlle cry of Freedom and see if the same southern leaders are using the same type of scare tactic to as they did when they started the civil war to people against the govenment”
“He was never court martialed and so how did he admit guilt in court? It was administratively handled and he was allowed to retire after 20 yrs service with an honorable discharge and full retirement benefits.”

“Find where I claimed he faced a "court martial." He faced an Article 15 trial, a step below a court martial. He pled guilty to the charges, was levied a $5000 fine, lost his command, and was forced to resign, AND at less than a full colonel. Those are the incontrovertible facts.”
“oooo..... you used wikipedia the most trusted source of truth. My God man if that is the best you can do give up”

“Please, provide a detailed exegesis of how those facts are in error. The bottom line is, West admitted in court that he may have been wrong, he pled guilty, and resigned from the Army. Can't spin that.”
“Why don't you check out the information yourself? Or is that to much work for you? Hmmm... hearing loss( for a man who is planning with others to kill our soldiers) vs loss of American Soldier lives? darn it is so very hard to choose what I would do”
“The prisoner (not a victim) intended with the help of others in massacing American Soldiers. Why do you keep avoiding that fact? What would you have done in this instance? From what I can tell from your response you brothers in arms would have died. And do you not think that there were travesties on both sides of the American Revolution? I don't assume to know George Washington and what he would have done in this instance. He also wanted get rid of slavery but still had slaves. He was human is what I am getting at. And why don't you ask Allen West if he would accept being executed if it meant saving his men, I wouldn't be suprised if he answered yes.”

“The VICTIM was one Yahya Jhodri Hamoodi, an Iraqi civilian police officer who West wrongly ASSUMED was going to attack or aid in the attack of American soldiers.
West, who was not responsible for conducting interrogations in Iraq and had never conducted nor witnessed one, had his men detain Hamoodi. In the process of detaining Mr. Hamoodi, soldiers testified that Hamoodi appeared to reach for his weapon and needed to be subdued. Hamoodi was beaten by four soldiers from the 2/20th Field Artillery Battalion on the head and body.. West then fired his pistol near Hamoodi's head, after which Hamoodi provided West with names and information, which Hamoodi later described as "meaningless information induced by fear and pain." At least one of these suspects was arrested as a result, but no plans for attacks or weapons were found. West said "At the time I had to base my decision on the intelligence I received. IT'S POSSIBLE THAT I WAS WRONG ABOUT MR. HAMOODI."
West WAS wrong. West got ZERO actionable intelligence. Hamoodi wasn't charged or tried and he was NEVER found to have been guilty of what West ASSUMED. West had NO facts, just suspicions. THAT'S why soldiers are bound by the UMCJ.
Try informing yourself before you reflexively accept the word of a convicted liar like West.”
“Except West did not injure anyone and actually saved quite a few lives.”
AdamWest1313 on Oct 2, 2012 at 15:37:03
“Do you have any evidence that it saved lives?
And permanent hearing damage IS an injury.”
Greenchilistew on Oct 2, 2012 at 15:26:10
“West's victim suffered permanent hearing loss, which according to Jon Yoo's "organ failure" metric for torture, is indeed torture. As to lives saved, that is nothing but self serving conjecture which did NOT sway the military court.
I note you assiduously avoided taking on George Washington. According to Washington's standards, West deserved execution.”
“Ok try to follow: Mitt Romney invests his money on businesses or the stock market whatever he invests it. Now the money he gives to be invested hasalready been taxed at the higher rate of 35% or more and this is called income tax from money he made by working.(govenor, in which i believe he donated that money to charity, speaking engagements, you should get the idea) So, now Romney takes his earned money and invests it other business or the stock market but generally takes a risk with his money to help others while possibly healping his family also. Now hopefully he has made some wise investments and made a profit on it. Now the law ( and it is the tax law passed by Congress) states that he only has to pay taxes on the profit of said investment and because he to a huge chance and helped someone else with starting a business or keeping a business running he will not be charged a large tax.
Now, your taxes are your personal income tax. See he also pays that on his income from working. You are comparing apple to oranges.”
“I wonder why the author of this article did not include the fact that around 15 minutes later the President told the Univision reporters that he still was blaming a movie that nobody has even seen? Jay Carney and Pres. Obama need to get on the same page apparently.”
DakkonA on Sep 23, 2012 at 11:42:27
“Clips of the movie--yes, just clips, there is no full movie--were played on state TV over there. And by now, its spreading as people are becoming aware of it.
There are people who are rightly offended by it, but are wrongly blaming our entire country for it.”
“I haven't failed to understand anything dogg! My husband belonged to a union. They took money from his paycheck to "give" him a "vacation" fund. What it actually did was give them a interest free loan every 6 months. They also used their own insurance company to charge my husband a huge amount for insurance. I now have him on mine from a union free shop. Doesn't cost me a dime. The union charged him more to add me to his. When he was hurt on the job we went to them to find out what help the union offered and the first thing they said to us was "Did you go down and file for food stamps". Then when workers comp wanted proof of his actuall pay so they could give him the correct amount we called the union they didn't help us there we had to ask the company for the amount. I have had experience dealing with a union and I give them the big middle finger. Tell this crap to someone else. ”
“Why does Barney Frank not believe that other gay folkes may not have the same opinions and feelings as he does? That large tent the democrats talk about keeps getting smaller and smalll Soon it will be to small for me.”
