“Isn't it something how we turn into pet sitters while the kids go off to have fun?
Looks like the weather should be ok by the 29th. They're getting hit with bad snow today and tomorrow. Somehow we got lucky and the temp went up to 33 over night, so there's a lot of melting going on....BUT, temps to drop into the teens later today, so it'll be solid ice by midnight, I'm sure. Just glad to be safe.
Hope the kids have a great time!”

“We can only hope that Sean has wonderful memories return of his time with his parents before he was taken away. We'll never know what he was told by his Brazilian family, but it seems that his father, David, wants to make this transition as smooth and easy as possible.
This will be transforming for both of them. I would venture to say that as Sean sees places he'd known before, the memories will flood back.”

“I don't think he did, because they offered to have him for christmas but instead of allowing that and accepting he took him away on the night before christmas. Sean will never know what santa left for him under the tree he help set up or in the stocking he hung. David also refused to allow the grandmother to fly back with Sean on Christmas how is it smooth to take a kid away from everything he knew on Christmas eve? Why not just stay the day, set up supervised shared christmas then take him home after? Is that unreasonable?”

But, I remember a lot from being 2 & 3, including our house, the snow hill at the park, my siblings being born and fishing with my Dad in the river.
Later found to be dyslexic, before they had a word for it and struggling with words and numbers all through school. Still came out to be a B student because I learned to listen really well.”

“Glad it worked out but the point is at least for me I can still tell you ever kid in my k-8 grade class ( most of them the same in a mall catholic school) I remember the girl i had a crush on my teachers names details about age 5-9, 0-4 I remember some of prek, and parties and my siblings and breaking my arm and playing sports but the detail is not the same.”
