“A lot of it needs to be. The reduction really won't be a reduction in expenditures, just put where it's needed. No more overpayments to insurance companies, no more double testing, etc.
What's there not to like?
Single payer, of course.”

“Way to go, Sarah!
In one short sentence you managed to scare the pajeebers out of a lot of senior citizens. You never bothered to mention that the insurance companies are the ones with the "death panels" or that the public option might actually be a good thing for America.
You are so far below human that there are not words left for you.”

“Because anything's possible these days, it's not a stretch to believe that Lyin' Failin' Palin is employed by the insurance companies. It makes sense since the insurance companies actually DO have death panels whereby people are denied coverage and lose everything, including their lives in the end. Can't you just see that troll laughing it up with the monsters in the insurance companies while they coach her on what to say? That troll is an evil oportunist and a horrid moral coward.”

Wrong. You can change insurance companies and that possibility makes them behave. Competition, you know.
You can also complain about insurances to Government courts and state attorneys. This possibility also keeps them customer friendly.
With the government panel, they do not care about competition and you have nowhere to complain.
This monopoly makes their decision final and their panals a death panels for the sick and elderly.
Got it?”

Trading Profits Up 11 Percent For Banks; JPMorgan Chase Leads The Way
Commented Dec 20, 2009 at 21:29:37 in Business
“It's an absolute shame that the average person needs banks to do business.
They've done nothing for any of us. Yeah, once in a while you can get a break, but those are so few and far between that they don't even count.
It's only been maybe 35 years that banks were products of their own communities. There were no national banks. That is to say that banks couldn't even cross county lines to do business. They knew everybody in the community. ...there were no secrets. The bank held your mortgage, the bank held your business loans. The day that restrictions were lifted so that banks went across county lines was the day that the banking business began to rule every aspect of our monetary lives. It quickly went across state lines....t hen came CitiBank, Bank One, etc.
Very few people did any business with Wall Street...n ot ordinary people. We were too busy trying to get by in life. Raising our kids, building lives. Big companies did Wall Street.... not us. Those fortunate enough to be able to purchase stocks, did it directly.
This country has turned into a mega corporation. No longer are any of us relevant.
What a sad time in history.”
