The Internet and the Death of Rovian Politics

“The Internet was one of the reasons the Democrats swept into office two years ago. I discovered Huffington Post three years ago right after Hurricane Katrina. I wanted to know what other countries were saying about the slow inaction of the American government to help its own people and clicked on a link and viola, I found people who thought like me.”

Abortion Rights: Back in the Spotlight

“The abortion debate is controversial. There are some who feel that there is no justification for the taking of an innocent life. But instead of looking at abortion as a method of murder, one should look at abortion as an issue of reproductive freedom for women. Women in society have come a long way and have attained educational and economic opportunities and should not have their reproductive rights taken away from them because of the government and society's personal morals.

A man can withdraw from a relationship as soon as he finds out about a pregnancy. There is no question of his involvement after that; he has made his choice. He might be legally obligated to pay child support but he is not legally obligated to bond with the child. It is only fair to that women should be given the same choice. If a woman does not want the responsibility of a child, then she should be able to have the choice of abortion as one of her options. She has to deal with the ramifications of her choice. As stated earlier, although it might be morally wrong to take a life, it is also morally wrong to bring a child into the world where is not wanted. It might be cruel, but in light of some of the horrific child abuse that goes on, it probably would have been better for those children if their mothers had aborted them.”

“The average American does not care that McCain is a liar. All they care about is that he is white and not Obama.”

“People in this country make my ass itch. I can not believe Americans are so stupid. If the latest polls are true, some Americans are going to vote for McCain and Palin. Is it because US citizens are too inherently racist to vote for a black man, even going against their economic interests? The United States of America is on the verge of a total economic collapse and people would rather have four more years of this versus taking their chances with a black man. Incredible. I am too broke to more to Europe but I wish I could.”

“I agree--what bothers me about this campaign is not that the Republicans have dredged up another white, christian, fascist, moron to run; but the fact that despite the OBVIOUS, terrible problems we face as a direct result of 8 years of terrible management, half of this nation is ready to vote the morons in again! When folks are too damned dumb to vote their own interests...wow.”

“Don't move!! Stay and fight!! America will need all of her loyal sons and daughters in the coming years if We The People are to turn this Bushevik mess around, whether McSame and Moose-olini steal the election with Diebold voting machines or not!

We The People are not all stupid, and the turnout for McSame's public ravings that pass for speech making prove it. Those fools who are dazzled by Palin will soon enough see the rotten contents of that gaily wrapped package.

As for the polls and the corporate pollsters who create them, I've studied Statistics at the university level. Give me a free hand in choosing the sample population, the sample size, and let me frame the questions and I'll put the Jeffery Dahlmer/Shiro Ishii ticket 20 points ahead of both McSame and Senator Obama.

Never, never, never, never give up the fight for liberty!

“Excellent article. I was a teen age mother and I am still paying the price financially for having unprotected sex. I did not get a GED until I was twenty-seven, a Bachelor's degree when I was thirty-five and currently pursing a Master's degree. I should be finished at about thirty-nine. I have been a mother longer than I was a young adult and young women need to think about that before they starting dreaming about cute outfits from Baby Gap and cute little designer shoes for their babies.”

“I have been without full-time employment since August of last year when I was laid off. My unemployment benefits ran out in February and I have not been able to find a decent job with a livable wage since then. My children and I have existed off savings and the grace of God but if I mention this, I am considered a "whiner".”
