Obama Ohio Poll: President's Numbers Rebound

“If they were educated (or if their leaders were educated) they would be using this down time to draft, recruit and prepare new leaders instead of tearing down the leader who was elected by the majority.”

“The big "if". These people eschew education. An education is seen as a bad thing, something to be scorned. And the more distinguished an education one has, the more despicable one is -- is it any surprise they are in this situation?”

“They have nothing. Rachel maddow talked last night about how they can't dredge anyone decent up just to do a rebuttal to Obama's speeches. It was quite funny”

“Joe Wilson was a very small part of this. It has more to do with the process of change and how people feel before, during and after that process. Regarding his campaign promises, the #'s will be high before he tackles it, low during and high afterward.”

“Yes. He learned a very valuable lesson from the Gates situation. And I'm glad he learned it early on. You can't talk about race in this country, even if you're a bi-racial President. It will always end up hurting your polling because Americans can't really talk about this area. It's a huge sensitive spot.”

“The Republicans don't have a chance. It's not going to be enough for birthbaggers and G-no-P officials to say "He's the dev.il!"
They have to come up with their own plans and solutions and a coherent message. They don't have any leadership so it will take them many months/years before they can rebound.
Since they are lurching further right, it will take even longer before they can move back to the middle.
For all the complaining about President Obama from the left, O knows if he stays in the middle he gets Dems, Independents and even some Republicans to support his agenda. It's a winning coalition.”

“I've never served in the Military, but my father has. Navy for 24 years. I was asking him why Obama is keeping so many of Bush's laws. He said that new President's don't always have the luxury of changing course midstream...So we're in the middle/end of two wars...and while I understand that the Democrats want him to reverse everything Bush did, my dad doesn't really think it's that easy.”
