“I think when you go out on a date with someone, it's safe to assume that as far as the other person is concerned, genitalia greatly defines gender. These aren't bellybuttons. A person could be mortified to find out in an intimate moment that the other person is not of their sexual preference when they thought that person was. But we need to band together and work on peaceful resolutions. Posting here is pointless and this will be my last post on the topic. Do a search in Yahoo Groups for places to work constructively to fight for our rights. Posting here is of no use at all.

As with the majority of people I'm not interested in your sexuality. I associate with gays and had a family member die of AIDS. The problem seems to be in the redifining of the word marriage. It is my guess ( thats all it is ) that had prop 8 asked for Civil Union or some such thing it could have passed. I also know that my wife and I (We were married in CA on October) pose no threat to any of my heterosexual brothers or sister
s relationships. Rather seeing the strenght and love we share has shown that we can be models of stability and our children are well adjusted, healthy, brillant children who know what it is to love G-d and respect their religion and culture. Our son will be Bar Mitzvahed this Spring and both of his mothers will be there to honor him.
