“Well, there's what you believe and what the evidence shows.
The evidence shows that this country was, at first, a colony of the British empire.
Those colonies were built upon the desire to expand the power of the King of England while, at the same time, make money for a British company known as The Dutch East India Company.
As the cost for defending the colonies from the French and the Natives (who were having their lands pilfered by the colonists) were past from the companies to the colonists in the form of taxes, the colonists became more and more of the opinion that they were being targeted unfairly for taxes while the companies who chartered them were getting to keep all of the profits (any of this sound similar to contemporary issues?).
AT NO TIME was the Crown ever attempting to limit the colonists' ability to practice their own religion -- or no religion. It was NEVER a factor when the decision to rebel was made (by 1/3 of the colonists).
When the founding document that created this CURRENT form of government was ratified, "god" was not mentioned at all while "religion" was mentioned only twice -- and not in the affirmative.
So, as you can see, your belief runs counter to what the evidence shows.
Please read a history book ... preferably, more than one.”
“Not saying BushCo is innocent, but we might as well be wishing for a pony while we're at it ...
Call me cynical, but I don't see justice being served -- or history judging these criminals -- until after my GRANDCHILDREN'S generation are running things.”

“Like I said, "someday". I don't expect it will happen anytime soon, if ever. But certainly history eventually will bare these criminals for what they really are. And then, the Bush legacy will be seen for what it really was.”
“86:5 -- So let man observe from what he was created.
86:6 -- He was created from a fluid, ejected,
86:7 -- Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.
Your turn -- where's the evidence for this winged horse Mohammed flew to heaven ...”

“Oh, and you were produced from this fluid. When the Quran was revealed, this was not known nor was the fact that all living things contain water which is also mentioned in the Quran.
I think now, it is your turn to explain that and the nature of lightning which has been recently discovered via GPS moisture mapping to originate in the collision of hail in the upper atmosphere...seems Allah created the first super collider my friend.
Peace though and do good deeds. Not everyone can be a muslim but certainly, everyone is capable of loving one.”

“This descibes the ejection of fluid Brian, not the secretion of it. I would like to thank you however for making me look more deeply into the matter because it is only through cautious reading of the text that a person reaches certainty. I already have that though so this isn't about that for me, it is merely a delight in my day and thank you for providing that for me. If you'd like, I will study the physiology of the process more deeply and help you to understand that disorders in this process can result from surgical interventions between the thoracic and lumbar vertabrae.
As for Al Buraq, the 'winged horse' theory you have questioned, I personally believe that the object was described by primitive people with no understanding of the speed of light or vehicles that could fly.
Let me know what I can further explain for you and if you like, I will even give you my email and that way HuffPo censorship won't intervene in the conversation.
“Yes, it is time to get rid of this useless function of taxpayer-funded professional sports and, no, you're not showing your age.”

“This made me smile inside!”

“LOL! I was referring to Cheerleaders as useless, but your point is well taken. Even though I'm a PSL holder in Carolina, I still don't agree with taxpayers subsidizing ANY corporation, let alone NFL teams.”
“In other words: Give up any notion that change can be made.
Or, they can organize, publicize and sensitize until change is made ... personally, I think it's a setback for any gains women have made iwhen one wants to become a cheerleader. I see it for what it is.
But, I'm a firm believer in "self-determination". So, if these ladies want to work to change an industry, I say, "Have at it, Hoss."”

“Oh I believe that a change in policy is possible. The gal can go get a job someday that will allow here to set the school standard...but I bet she wouldn`t last long in that job either. Try getting a cheer leader squad of 300 lb gals....and watch it get shot down fast. Who you kidding? Not me.”
